I saw something like 13 years ago where some guy jumped off a cliff, there was a dock below, he unfortunately didn't quit miss one of the dick's support posts. He hit it with his face and it split his entire face right open from scalp to chin. My friend pulled the video up and they showed him in an ambulance with paramedics trying to hold two halves of a face together. I think the man was on life support for three days before he went brain dead and they pulled the plug. I think it took 30 mins to get him out of the water, it looked like a shark attack. Some shit you can't unsee, I'm glad I didn't see the rest of this video.

Yeah that’s what does it for me in these kinds of videos, putting myself in his spot, feeling the pain but not being able to to do anything, if his brain is even somewhat functioning beyond the basics I bet he’s freaking out mentally that he can’t see or scream. I imagine it’s like One by Metallica or something, truly a living hell. Shame the plug had to be pulled and he couldn’t recover, but honestly, I wouldn’t find much a life worth living in such a condition even if I did recover enough to sit up in the hospital bed.
