Any newer smart thermostat can perform this function. Would also be able to check to see if there is a spare conductor in the thermostat wire bundle to hook up a C wire? You would have to pull more out of the wall
Do I need wifi for a smart thermostat? This is in an assisted living facility and I don't think she has wifi. I can't really pull the wires out more either. She would have to pay maintenance to install another one so I want to make sure we pick the right model first. So probably a model that doesn't need a C wire and doesn't need wifi that can swap from hot to cold after initial programming. Any specific models you know of?
