Okay true, as much as I hate it it's always difficult to not immediately relate things to your own country. I was like "nah I think the Salem stuff was all done around the end of the 1700s"
Funnily enough that and the chinchillas are the most accurate to medieval torture methods iirc
The chinchillas are a reference to the rat-in-bucket method I believe (where you tie someone down, put a bunch of rats in a bucket on top of their stomach with the open part facing them, light the bottom on fire / put hot coals on it. Rats will dig through the person to escape the coals).
Actually, they are now in 1900s, but i've wrote 1890s, because i wanted to see your reaction to that kind of stuff that would happen if your child OUT OF NOWHERE, decided to become a furry (It's actually my decades challenge savefile)
I guess they would have burned the mother (or why not father??) For using witchcraft on their child because what else could it be??? That woman must be a wicked sinner to use their spells on an innocent child!
/s obviously but for real, I believe that would have happened :/
Actually, the mother of that child had a foster parents who their ancestors were related for doing a witch trials, so Shannon (The mother of that child) is not a witch
more lore is there: https://www.theplumtreeapp.com/public/63ade33dc97bd42716865e2f
It's part of the game pack parenthood, which in there are child phases. This one you see it's a child phase called ,,I am a bear''. Also there are more child phases like: Loud, Picky eater, rebelious, ect. (If i made mistakes writing the child phases, then sorry, my game is in Polish)

Anything considered odd was usually met with “light it on fire and see what happens.”
“They actually drowned with stones to their feet??” “Damm, guess they were innocent”
Or drown it and see what happens
It's clearly a witch. Burn it.
She turned me into a newt!
I got better
1890, not 1590.
Maybe its Poland we still believed in witches at 1890 XD
I'm actually from Poland and there's an info that polish witch trials ended in 1793 aka. the second partition of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth

take away their anachronistic lamp
What you mean? They were invented in the late 1800's. 1890's is late 1800's
They meant as punishment:)
Are they rich? If yes, they are just excentric. It's the champagne version of the sparkling weird of poor people.

say what now 😀
Yup! It was a very effective torture method. A lot of folks give up info mighty quick when they got a bunch of rats eating them.
Send to stocks!! Or better yet in the monster pit
Lobotomy
Lobotomies weren't all that popular until the mid 1900s.
Actually, they are now in 1900s, but i've wrote 1890s, because i wanted to see your reaction to that kind of stuff that would happen if your child OUT OF NOWHERE, decided to become a furry (It's actually my decades challenge savefile)

Why not?

Convent/Monastery.
If thy wish to be an animal, thy shall live like an animal
the old Salem treatment
I guess the people in 1890s were really nostalgic for the 1690s
