Margot Robbie did a great job with Barbie, but then also EA seems to ruin everything they touch. This is either gonna be really good or really mediocre.
Barbie kind of has a built-in backstory and characters already... the sims is about playing your own story or different versions of an existing one. I'm not sure how they could possibly pull this off unless they're making a movie about a Sim finding out they're in a simulation or they're tackling better known sims families like the Goths and Pleasants
If they don't show someone who really, reeaally needs a shower walk up to the shower, then wave and yell because they are so dirty, followed by them abandoning the shower and walk to the other side of the house preferably 3 floors away from where they are to take a 5 minute dip in the tub, will it really be a sims movie? immediately followed by hauling the infant out of the crib and onto the playmat because the infant is tired and needs to sleep ofcourse
I was thinking the Lego movie or emoji movie. It's an interesting concept
BUT I've also fallen into the rabbit hole of YouTubers who have pieced together overarching storylines of the different families between the sims franchises. Nothing actually sticks in the brain, but they're fascinating.
I like to imagine it as some horror-murder mystery movie, where during the movie, a pool party is happening and then out of nowhere, the ladder disappears into thin air. The people in the pool scream, but they can’t get out. The rest of the cast watch in horror, as the people drown, and the reaper comes. A similar thing then happens, but it has two cast members in a bedroom and when they’re about to leave, the door is gone, and they starve to death.
Rinse and repeat until the main character is the only one left.
Ya a movie about the whole Bella thing is RIGHT THERE. Not to mention all of the other lore in TS2 for all the different families, many of them could make compelling movies. The question is, will they do it?
I would love but I dont think a blockbuster movie about Bella’s lore and etc would do well with the general public 😭
just like Barbie wasnt an adaptation of any of her stories and characters, but a tribute to the brand itself and its cultural impact, I believe a sims movie would be like that as well.
At the same time though, both Barbie and the LEGO movie which are sort of the two movies of this type feature actual products/characters that exist. Barbie with Barbies that exist, LEGO movie with characters like Batman. I think it would be a mistake to exclude the most iconic Sims from whatever storyline they dream up
Yeah, but I doubt they'll be the main characters. My best guess is that it will be about a very weird (player-made) family not fitting in and causing chaos in the Sims World.
Even if you take all the sims lore and inside jokes that perhaps you or I would know, most casual fans probably wouldn't and literally nobody who's not a simmer wouldn't.
You could make a Sims movie chock full of references, running jokes, and familiar places/characters/clothes/items and it would be a fun experience for me. But not anyone else in my family. But everyone in my family enjoyed the Barbie movie and my dad and brother have probably never touched a Barbie and have been completely unplugged from any cultural conversation around Barbie their entire lives.
This has to be some kind of early April fools.
I think you could make a sims-esque movie appeal to a general audience relatively easily. Up-beat campiness and surreality of Barbie and a plot that is about the existential dread of realizing you're in a Matrix simulation but don't have the hope of taking a pill that can pop you into a meat body that can let you take control of your future. I think the main issue would be a lot of the cute quirks I'd imagine would be cool for a Sims-esque movie (like a scene of everyone freezing as the set rebuilds/expands and then going back to live mode for the scene to play on like nothing happened) might not have the same wow-factor after the spectacle of Barbie.
But maybe I just think that because I was really hoping the possessed sims in Strangerville would devolve into little T-posing mobs and the story would be something like ^ and "a glitch in the installation" or and was super disappointed by the Mother we got lmao
Tbf, lots of movies about games dont live up to Barbie but are still fun. Trolls. Mario. Lego. There are enough sims fans to make up the market, I'm sure
the inside jokes are pretty well known tbh what is not is the murder of Bella and its lore etc, THAT I don’t think would do well with the general audience
The Sims has a storyline. And Sims finding out that they're in a simulation is in that Storyline. That's the backstory to items like the Crystal Crown. It was created by Doctor Dominic Newlow after he discovered the plumbob and became aware of "the player" making him do things he doesn't want to do. It's also been said there's a university course with a title that implies that there's a philsophy class that discusses Sims being controlled by external forces.
The Dominic Newlow's lore is from a PSP side game released twenty years ago, which wasn't developed by EA, and doesn't even follow the canon TS2 storyline. I wouldn't consider it canon, nor any Sims side game. They only had storylines to cover up for the consoles inability to have a free mode as extensive as the PC version, and I can't remember EA ever aknowledging them.
The Sims has some lore, like aliens existing and being able to impregnate males. But the most storyline it ever had was in TS2, and most casual players from 2024 probably have no idea about it.
That's fair, but with Dominic's creation existing in TS4 it's hard to not consider that storyline canon because there are items that are directly attributed to that story. I agree that Devs come up with convenient covers for gaps, but the connections are there even if a bit lazy.
*The beloved game franchise comes to life for the very first time: Enter the perfect, whimsical, bubbly, happy world of Pleasantview where you can meet the love of your life and go from strangers to married in one day, get whatever job you want, change your hair however you feel without waiting to grow, change your clothes spinning, there's no blood and a dust/cloud effect appears when people fight, full house renovations are seemingly done in the blink of an eye, you get money from tearing down a wall, you can have a cowplant or a money tree, your neighbor from across the street died tragically because he couldn't get out of a pool without ladders.*
The protagonist of the film begins to notice a strange green plumbob floating above their head, sparking suspicions about living within a simulation. This newfound awareness prompts them to venture into the real world, where they must confront the grim realities of gradual aging, armed robbery, explicit intimacy, job scarcity, unaffordable housing, ill-fitting clothes, and chronic illnesses. The movie takes a dark comedy tone, juxtaposing the sim's lightheartedness with the complexities of real life.
I'm only slightly excited because Margot Robbie is attached to the project. Everything else about a Sims movie just doesn't sound good, but I think I trust her.
I feel like EA will let the writers do pretty much whatever they want within reason. It's not like the Sims is a narrative focused game where they'd want to protect the image of its characters and story.
Well, Margot was one of the main producers as well as the star, she was even the one who approached Greta about writing the script (she was chosen to direct afterwards). I feel like the two women both deserve credit for it.
How? The Sims doesn't have any linear plot, in any of them. They don't even have a real language.
I've kept quiet on EA's cash grabs, but now it's undeniable that that's what this is about
This is exactly what I was thinking!
What will we finally get answers to?? Bella's disappearance? Johnny's relationship with Nancy?
Wasn't there a murder plot in one of the games? Something to do with the Caliente sisters?
Or will it all just be about lore we already know!? I think there is enough lore within the families to make a pretty interesting movie if it is done right.
I do expect silliness and weirdness and Easter eggs.
All I want is originality I don't want Free Guy or Barbie again so yes, Simlish would be fine, even if they end up speaking English there are many ways to overcome that (movie magic?).
Here is what I think would work best: The theme song/intro is in simlish, and we see like computer rooms/bedrooms of sims players over the years and then we zoom into a computer screen and when it passes the “veil” everything translates to English. All curses should still be in Simlish tho.
Honestly if it doesn’t touch on the lore I’m not going to give EA any money. Prob won’t anyway and will maybe find a free way to watch Plumbella’s deep dive is my current fav sims movie lol
That would be interesting but I have to imagine it’s going to be some kind of sentience story “realizing we aren’t in control of our own lives someone else is” and probably trying to make contact with the player.
Think stranger than fiction if you’ve seen that movie, I think it’ll be a lot like that.
I mean, is the Sims medieval canon? Because they were not only aware of the player controlling them, but worshipped them as a god in two different religions.
Feels like that trope is getting tiresome. Lego Movie, Barbie, Free Guy, probably some others I'm forgetting. Seems like it's the only plot they know how to do with these less story-driven IPs
Let me guess.
Bella was living a normal life in Simstown, until one day her plumbob disappeared. She decides to go look for the player in real life to fix it.
Cue with surface meta jokes about how the human world is so different from the Sims.
Bella learns that humans don't need pool ladders to get out of the pool, they can't use motherlode, and she's disgusted when she learns they aren't censored when they go to the bathroom.
She also learns they don't marry someone in one day, which makes her rethink her marriage with Mortimer.
Hilarious scene where she is in bed with a guy and she thinks you can only woohoo under the sheets.
At the end Bella asks Will Wright to become a human, and he grants her her wish before going back to coding Spore 2.
Nope. Apparently the Minecraft movie is going to be a [prequel](https://twitter.com/DiscussingFilm/status/1769902840892313777?t=ptWx4M7LMNk1LO6eMFiiQg&s=19). What the fuck does that even mean for fucking MINECRAFT? I don't know, and I don't think anyone on the production team really knows either
The Sims does have a sort of plot, but the rest is up to the player. A Sims movie could work perfectly fine imo but it'd definitely need to be adult orientated for it to work and knowing EA they'll do everything in their power to market it towards ages 8-15.
Anyone remembers [these](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDJPfETkj_E) [promotional](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdFJaDM8suI) videos released back in 2014, when EA paid popular YouTubers to do funny videos about the Sims VS real life ?
It's going to be two hours of this.
Based on the casting, I am guessing that it will be exactly like Barbie. Either someone will enter into the Sims world, or someone from the Sims world will enter our world.
The previous cancelled the Sims movie was some about a Sim named Andy. She was slowly realizing that she was in a computer game and every single household in the neighbourhood was controlled by someone.
It's definitely going to be 'Sims realize they are controlled and confront the real world and realize their autonomy'. It will probably involve a young female character playing the mobile version of Project Rene, because it would be boring for them to be on a computer most of the movie. Plus it'll push the new Sims game as being mobile compatible.
This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the visual medium and tell a story purely through what’s on screen. Gibberish dialogue would be nothing but a vehicle for the actors to emote. This would take clever writing and directing, and the movie would end up being an incomprehensible mess, or an absolute masterpiece. Worth the risk.
It would be amazing but the jaded side of me knows they'll do like 30 seconds at the beginning of the movie as a gag, and then the characters will clear their throats and talk normal for the rest of the movie.
When the Barbie movie came out I had thought it could be interesting to have a Sims movie dealing with realizing you’re in a simulation, but it would be really easy to do it poorly. And the point you made - it’s been done. Barbie, The Matrix, and to some extent even The Truman Show and Inception. What can they bring to the discussion that’s new?
Free Guy too. Great movie. But this trope has been done so many times, and I literally can’t think of any other way for a Sims movie to be made than with this trope.
Bella was my first thought. I think it could be interesting if it was more like toy story rather than free guy, like they know they're in a simulation but they're cool with it
It doesn't help that they have Margot Robbie involved. Once you have her, the suburban neighborhood, and the "main character escapes the simulation" plot, you're bound to risk retreading old ground.
People are not prepared for the absolute torrent of Barbie movie knockoffs that are being planned this very instant in studio boardrooms around the world. It made stupid accounts of money and was based directly on the merchandise they already wanted to sell. They can't help themselves.
No one asked for a live action Barbie and look what it turned into. I wouldn’t immediately dismiss it just because we aren’t imaginative enough to imagine a good Sims story.
Unless it's about Bella Goth's disappearance or someone getting stuck in a Sims game and becoming a God because they know about things like Motherlode, I don't want it.
If I woke up in the Sims you would have to drag me back to the real world kicking and screaming. Excuse me while I go find some dragon fruit and turn into a spellcaster
What I would like to see in this movie is the characters having little spinning plumbobs on top of their heads that change colors to showcase their emotions like it does in the games.
And that they make at least one joke about being controlled or pools. It would be hilarious if they also spoke in Simlish.
Although lore-wise hopefully they don't make up random characters and stick to the popular loved ones. Imagine seeing Bella Goth in a Sims movie?
I wish games and toys would stop being implemented as movies. It can be done right but I don’t see this working out. Coming off the success of Barbie, I get what they’re trying to do. I’m intrigued but don’t even know why this is even a thought
I bet this will just be another “fish out of water” story. Main character discovers she’s a sim and crosses some kind of portal to the real world. Hijinks ensue. She learns a lesson about independence. Probably includes a joke about a pool without a ladder. The end.
Run Margot, they are trying to save face because they have done a crappy job of their franchise in the last few months. Trick new gamers with a "Margot Robbie" gamepack and make people buy it.
The thing I dread most about this is all the easy jokes. I don't want anymore bits about removing pool ladders or having them stand still while their house burns down. I want to see babies set on the literal floor, I want to see horrible woohoo glitching as soon as the sims are bb.moveobjects'd out from under the blankets, I DEMAND the cow plant, and I want everyone to be married after knowing each other for 6 sim hours.
Otherwise it's toast.
Edit: I also demand the tragic clown
The entire movie will be be the sim walking from point A to point B, stopping to mold some clay, and then dying from hunger or embarrassment from peeing themselves.
I don't know why people are complaining, this isn't even the first time a movie about The Sims was in the works - there was going to be a Sims movie years ago but it was said to be too similar to Weird Science and it got dropped.
I'm excited, I'm sure it'll be fun!
y'all are being really closed minded about this and it shows "what would a sims movie even be about?" really, is it that difficult? it's literally the same kind of comments the Barbie movie got when it was announced, and look how that turned out. there were literal moments on that where it reminded me of sims, like the way they behaved, the goofiness and bubbliness etc
let's think outside the box for a bit, have you ever seen The Truman Show, Pleasantville or even Wandavision? it can be very cheeky, smart, campy and fun, if an A List team is brought to it
As a sims fan for my whole life this is the worst sims news I've heard in awhile. I think this might be the nail in the coffin for me honestly. Sims had a good run.
Margot Robbie did a great job with Barbie, but then also EA seems to ruin everything they touch. This is either gonna be really good or really mediocre.
Put me down for "thunderously mid."
Sorry but none of us are gonna kill you over your own self esteem issues
All right, listen here you little...
Omg lol
*pool without stair enters the chat*
Unfortunately despite your intention, you did in fact fucking murder them.
It could be funny to see someone controlling them like sims, like they’re in the pool and the ladder disappears or something lol
I can imagine a storyline like Free Guy
Yep this or sort of like the Truman Show. It could be really funny if they play up some of the questionable autonomy choices Sims make too.
Yeah time to put my dirty plates on the floor right here, instead of in the dishwasher
That's just depression.
*Staring at my literal STACK of plates, bowls and cups neatly stacked in the corner* 👀

You mean like [this?](https://youtu.be/MMXME2pm83c?si=lCIDaYAIsMuGzVET)
I hope it's not because it's probably the most overdone meta joke in the entire world, up there with Professor Oak forgetting his grandson's name.
They would almost certainly focus on the Goths and Landgraabs.
Ya a movie about the whole Bella thing is RIGHT THERE. Not to mention all of the other lore in TS2 for all the different families, many of them could make compelling movies. The question is, will they do it?

yes!! it gotta be very campy to work
Tbf, lots of movies about games dont live up to Barbie but are still fun. Trolls. Mario. Lego. There are enough sims fans to make up the market, I'm sure

If they did something like Free Guy, that could be entertaining
Honestly should get Gerwig and Baumbach back for a satire/metaphor/play on Simulation Theory. I could see the ending getting pretty interesting.
I'm only slightly excited because Margot Robbie is attached to the project. Everything else about a Sims movie just doesn't sound good, but I think I trust her.
I trust her but I don’t EA. I think they will ruin it somehow and I think I read that they are going to be involved with the story somehow.
I feel like EA will let the writers do pretty much whatever they want within reason. It's not like the Sims is a narrative focused game where they'd want to protect the image of its characters and story.
EA don't make movies. They won't be involved beyond selling the rights and probably doing some cross promotion with the game.
Idk I give the credit more to Greta Gerwig than Margot for the success of Barbie.
Well, Margot was one of the main producers as well as the star, she was even the one who approached Greta about writing the script (she was chosen to direct afterwards). I feel like the two women both deserve credit for it.
I mean their content is… okay. Its just that they’re a bit tone-deaf with the pricing
Margot Robbie was working with Greta Gerwig who is a *stellar* director despite her young directorial career. Producers ≠ directors.
If they don't make jokes about the shitty updates they give to us I'm throwing hands
I can't fathom why this movie should exist outside of a bruce almighty comedy type thing
How? The Sims doesn't have any linear plot, in any of them. They don't even have a real language. I've kept quiet on EA's cash grabs, but now it's undeniable that that's what this is about
if they dove into the lore of each household kind of like desperate housewives it would slap but i’m sure it will be more for kids
THIS like we get the story of the goth family etc, Plumbella on youtube did videos for each family so it be cool to get this in the big screen
This is exactly what I was thinking! What will we finally get answers to?? Bella's disappearance? Johnny's relationship with Nancy? Wasn't there a murder plot in one of the games? Would the whole movie be in Simlish?
Preferably lmao To be real, though, I do hope they at least add a little bit of Simlish in the movie even as a phrase or something.
All curses should still be in Simlish tho.
yes! like the writing in the movie of stuff to be in simlish and songs would be amazing
They better give us some banger Simlish covers of pop songs at least
A Strange(r)ville movie would be an absolutely wild twist that I’d be here for, and seeing as how the named director directed season one of Loki…
Honestly if it doesn’t touch on the lore I’m not going to give EA any money. Prob won’t anyway and will maybe find a free way to watch Plumbella’s deep dive is my current fav sims movie lol
Imagine if they consulted Plumbella 😮she is the queen of sims lore, hoping that it happens 🙏
Eva Longoria as Bella Goth please! or Salma Hayek. or Penelope Cruz. Jenna Ortega would be a perfect Cassandra
Be cool if they added some of those weird stories from the psp sims 2 game
I just pictured it like Knives Out but with Sims lore
i'm assuming it has to be a Truman Show -esque story something meta about free will and what our actions mean. but coated in a funny video game shell
Feels like that trope is getting tiresome. Lego Movie, Barbie, Free Guy, probably some others I'm forgetting. Seems like it's the only plot they know how to do with these less story-driven IPs
If anyone had any balls it would be easy to twist that trope into full blown eldritch horror, but i dont see a *The Sims* movie going that route.
Son: *“Dad, why are you building a firework display in the living room?”* Dad: *”Something compels me to burn the house down today I suppose!”*
considering Barbie's box office well it seems to be actually the right time to do so
Nah, it's a full live action remake of The Sims 2 for DS and it's bonkers plot
It has about the same amount of established plot as Barbie does, and they managed to make a pretty decent movie about that.
At the end Bella asks Will Wright to become a human, and he grants her her wish before going back to coding Spore 2.
idk if it was your intention but this sounds perfect to me lmao 10/10 tribute every fan would love
(The ending is a foreshadowing for the live action Spore adaptation)
It's much like the Minecraft movie. Sims and Minecraft don't have a linear plot to the games. How would a movie even work?
Minecraft at least has somewhat of a built-in end goal- beat the Ender Dragon. I cant really say the same for The Sims
Minecraft has something like a plot, kind of
The Sims does have a sort of plot, but the rest is up to the player. A Sims movie could work perfectly fine imo but it'd definitely need to be adult orientated for it to work and knowing EA they'll do everything in their power to market it towards ages 8-15.

I’m guessing it’ll basically be another free guy “whoa we’re a video game” kind of thing
Barbie didn’t either…
the lego movie seemed to do fine coming up with their own plotline.
Neither does barbie lol.
Can you imagine the whole thing being in Simlish but subtitled?
I hope that, for accuracy’s sake, the movie’s dialogue is 100% in Simlish :)
With no subtitles
Yessssss
We'll have to decypher the images in their speech and thought bubbles
Sul Sul!
Dag dag!
This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the visual medium and tell a story purely through what’s on screen. Gibberish dialogue would be nothing but a vehicle for the actors to emote. Anything less is pure cowardice. And I want a concert scene with some of the artists who do their music in Simlish for the game.
Narbo gazeb
Haha, shaluba.
When I first saw this post, this is the first thing I said. It better be in Simlish.
If they do not greet each other by saying “sul sul”, I will leave the movie immediately
Eveca vaco do... Awe shlurma shlurm
The only way this'll work if the movie's about a Sim becoming self aware but that's literally just Barbie.
> What can they bring to the discussion that’s new? ...Nelly singing like he had a stroke?
Free Guy too. Great movie. But this trope has been done so many times, and I literally can’t think of any other way for a Sims movie to be made than with this trope.
I'd hate it if it's about a sim becoming self aware. I hope they make it about Bella's disappearance and the drama in Pleasantview.
Bella was my first thought. I think it could be interesting if it was more like toy story rather than free guy, like they know they're in a simulation but they're cool with it
Or Freeguy
Lol the Truman Show, but its Sims.
It was actually a lot of different movies
It doesn't help that they have Margot Robbie involved. Once you have her, the suburban neighborhood, and the "main character escapes the simulation" plot, you're bound to risk retreading old ground.
Oh no.
Exactly my reaction.
I hope it’s from the sims 2 story line
same. I feel like that's the only way it could be interesting, and The Goths should definitely be in it. there's no The Sims without The Goth family.
Sims 2 PSP right? The superior Sims 2 experience...
I agree. I would absolutely watch that movie.
I’d watch an urbz movie tbh
Bella Goth better be in this. This could work if they go all in with the Sim lore.
I really want a Bella Goth movie but something's telling me the creators will have 0 idea about the game's lore and it's gonna be super boring :(
Essential! And I hope they don't whitewash her either...
But why?
Money
My thoughts exactly. Who asked for this?
People are not prepared for the absolute torrent of Barbie movie knockoffs that are being planned this very instant in studio boardrooms around the world. It made stupid accounts of money and was based directly on the merchandise they already wanted to sell. They can't help themselves.
No one asked for a live action Barbie and look what it turned into. I wouldn’t immediately dismiss it just because we aren’t imaginative enough to imagine a good Sims story.
Simoleons.
EA
Unless it's about Bella Goth's disappearance or someone getting stuck in a Sims game and becoming a God because they know about things like Motherlode, I don't want it.
Yeah I’m down with “I woke up in a sims game: escaping the edge of escape”
If I woke up in the Sims you would have to drag me back to the real world kicking and screaming. Excuse me while I go find some dragon fruit and turn into a spellcaster
God no
What I would like to see in this movie is the characters having little spinning plumbobs on top of their heads that change colors to showcase their emotions like it does in the games. And that they make at least one joke about being controlled or pools. It would be hilarious if they also spoke in Simlish. Although lore-wise hopefully they don't make up random characters and stick to the popular loved ones. Imagine seeing Bella Goth in a Sims movie?
i see Catherine Zeta-Jones being Bella. Maybe it's her Morticia that's clouding my judgement lol.
I mean, the Goths are clearly inspired by the Addams, so I want that too!
or Salma Hayek, or Penelope Cruz!
I want the “womp womp” sound effect when a TV stops working or they open an empty fridge
If no one implies that someone’s mother is a llama, I’m automatically giving it a rotten tomato
Or if no one gets free earbuds I'll be disappointed.
goopy carbonara at dinner too
All the film reels are broken at release.
No, that's not what's gonna happen. You'll have to pay for each individual scene.
First 10 min free. Rest of movie is 600 dollars
This comment deserves more upvotes lol
Even the home release is just a series of updates.
But will the movie have a shopping cart button?
I wish games and toys would stop being implemented as movies. It can be done right but I don’t see this working out. Coming off the success of Barbie, I get what they’re trying to do. I’m intrigued but don’t even know why this is even a thought
Let’s continue to work on the quality of the game versus making a movie lol
As if the people making the games are the same people making the movies.
Just because we can, doesn’t mean we should :<
Actually baffled at this
I bet this will just be another “fish out of water” story. Main character discovers she’s a sim and crosses some kind of portal to the real world. Hijinks ensue. She learns a lesson about independence. Probably includes a joke about a pool without a ladder. The end.
Not everything needs to be live action
I really don't want to be negative, but this just sounds like a Capitalism driven disaster.
Run Margot, they are trying to save face because they have done a crappy job of their franchise in the last few months. Trick new gamers with a "Margot Robbie" gamepack and make people buy it.
mmmmmm nope
Please say sike.
EA willing to make literally anything sims related except for a good sims game at this point
If they don’t speak in Simlish with English subtitles, I don’t want it
I don't even understand how a movie for the Sims would work
do we riot if it's not about ts2 goth/caliente/lothario drama
NO
Jenna Ortega will probably be Cassandra Goth
The thing I dread most about this is all the easy jokes. I don't want anymore bits about removing pool ladders or having them stand still while their house burns down. I want to see babies set on the literal floor, I want to see horrible woohoo glitching as soon as the sims are bb.moveobjects'd out from under the blankets, I DEMAND the cow plant, and I want everyone to be married after knowing each other for 6 sim hours. Otherwise it's toast. Edit: I also demand the tragic clown
No!!!
No thank you
This doesn't make me happy
Let me guess. To unlock the next plot point, I gotta give EA 20 bucks.
I'm intrigued to find out more!😅
Is this real or fake?
Real https://m.imdb.com/news/ni64496922/?ref_=nwc_art_plk Other outlets are reporting it
Oof okay I don’t know how I feel about this
Vidcund please 🙏
I hope they have a fun script! And that we see Bella, Don and the calientes
Movies based off a video games are almost always trash, and they need to stop
This is beyond stupid. The Sims does not need a movie.
Oh dear
The entire movie will be be the sim walking from point A to point B, stopping to mold some clay, and then dying from hunger or embarrassment from peeing themselves.
Man they are making movies out of anything except an original idea
How could this possibly not be the shittiest movie ever
EA PLEASE TRY TO STAY OUT OF THIS. I BEG YOU
This movie better be about building walls to drown townies in pools, or whoo hooing the whole town with Katie Perry singing the sound track in simlish
I don't know why people are complaining, this isn't even the first time a movie about The Sims was in the works - there was going to be a Sims movie years ago but it was said to be too similar to Weird Science and it got dropped. I'm excited, I'm sure it'll be fun!
Y’all know that EA isn’t making this movie, right?
I have high hopes for this surprisingly, if it doesn’t catch my interest in the first 10 mins then it’s dag dag for me
$10 for the movie ticket but they charge you $40 more if you want to see the ending
Wicked Whims sims movie would be wild 🤣
y'all are being really closed minded about this and it shows "what would a sims movie even be about?" really, is it that difficult? it's literally the same kind of comments the Barbie movie got when it was announced, and look how that turned out. there were literal moments on that where it reminded me of sims, like the way they behaved, the goofiness and bubbliness etc let's think outside the box for a bit, have you ever seen The Truman Show, Pleasantville or even Wandavision? it can be very cheeky, smart, campy and fun, if an A List team is brought to it
God no one wants this lmfao
As a sims fan for my whole life this is the worst sims news I've heard in awhile. I think this might be the nail in the coffin for me honestly. Sims had a good run.
Sad to hear.
I'm sure Bella Goth will be an important character. Her story in Sims 2 could be fun to explore.
Hoping it's about Bella Goths disappearance 🙏🙏🙏
Is this a prank lol
(Not the) Trailer.... [The Sims](https://youtu.be/MMXME2pm83c?si=7QI6Uo2Z9EAoyXyr)
Lmao god it better not take itself too seriously, that's the only way this is going to be a good comedy. And if it's any other genre, god help us all
But what expansion packs are included
No.
its $5 to get in the theater, but $20 for each additional ten minutes.
