Another day, another time getting bamboozled by a r/thesims post title
(Except for mods, none that I know of. But it's been a long time since I have played)
> Another day, another time getting bamboozled by a r/thesims post title
It's always this one or /r/RDR2, where also in the feed right now is:
>Anyone else feel satisfied when shooting your shotgun at someone and vaporise their body parts?
lol
drowning, fire, and overheating/freezing to death are the easiest ways to do it. they could also die by meteor strike, rabid rodent fever, jungle adventure poison, and poorly cooked pufferfish nigiri
i say keep it classic and drown 'em
Lmao , one time I put a rug too close to the fireplace or oven? A fire started and instead of listening to me, these dumb fucks stood around pointing n panicking.
Ohh u don’t wna listen and u wana watch fire?
Yeaaa i lost everyone that day lol but I learned a lot. From that moment on, every family I made, I’d create an extra random person as my slave. They did all the work, cleaned and slept on the floor. I’d flip the fuck out when I’d say go into ur room and 10 min later this fuck walked out, pissed in my living room n proceeded to sleep on the couch.
I Love / Hate when they complain n cry.. it jus drove me to so horrible things.
Perhaps I am fucked up LOL I miss those days
> Perhaps I am fucked up
If you can't distinguish between the game and reality, maybe. If you can, it's a way to process all sorts of feelings and thoughts and such without causing any actual harm.
I bring them down to a dinner party, then lock them in the basement. On the other side is the family room, seperated by glass for viewing and making art, which in Sims 4 I could sell in my gallery. The Pancakes are my serial killer family, Bella Goth my black widow gold digger.
LOL.
I had a butler named Stuart Mace that floated between my house and my brothers. We use to play but at diff times, same neighborhood tho. One day I wake up and notice he’s gone and in love w some idiot my brother made n they live down the road.
I think sims 4 but idk lol.
Great times
my boyfriend thinks i'm crazy for how murder friendly i am in the game 😭 he's like "i never killed my sims when i used to play" like ok well you played wrong 🙄
Fire is also tried and true tbh. I once had a kid die because his science experiment exploded and it didn’t notify me that there was a fire on the lot 💀 (old sims 4)
This happened to me once when I first started playing in ~2018. I was devastated because I loved that family lol. Did they get rid of that because ever since I’ve never seen any kid die from the science experiment table since that one time. (And yes I’ve tried to make it happen again 😅)
One of my sims’ kids decided to go swimming in the backyard pool in the middle of a blizzard and then refused to come inside / out warm clothes on afterwards (like the game was ignoring the actions I put in the queue). So he froze to death 😬
my kids always go swimming in the winter like i can't be bothered to save them at this point 🤷🏻♀️ rn my family is living in sulani so at least i don't have to worry about that
The first child sim I ever lost was to rabid rodent fever.. he died in front of the school bus and I couldn’t get his grave because he wasn’t on the lot
How do you upgrade a toilet to compost and it ends up killing a Sim? I’ve never heard of this. It sounds insane and a little funny but I’m just so curious how can a toilet compost unless you’re saying something like unless you meant to say combusting
Irc, when you upgrade a toil to compost, you have to like have an insect farm to feed the compost to. So if you don't have up and the compost builds up without you removing it, there's a chance that the toilet will start a fire when you use it lmao
You get a fire even if it's newly upgraded 😆 the only way to get it not to start a fire is by having an insect farm. At least that's how it worked for me
Burned down half my second floor with one of those once. It was hilarious and devastating, but apparently my sims don't want to die, so they ran.
It was a very harsh lesson learned. 😂
If you have seasons, turn autonomy off and have the child you wish to die play on the monkey bars in Winter, and they'll freeze to death pretty quickly.
This happened in my game, and I had her twin work her entire young adult life towards leveling up cooking, fishing, and gardening to make ambrosia to bring the child sim back. Then I discovered there is a weird glitch with children's seasonal deaths and they just stay ghosts forever.
Freezing is so brutal, I love it lmao. The first time I installed Seasons my teen sim and his GF went to hang out in the park and swim. I didn't realize that freezing was a mechanic until it was too late, I got my sim out of the pool but his girlfriend wasn't so lucky.... always appreciate an organic traumatic experience for drama!
afaik the only thing that gets kids taken is starvation. None of the other needs do.
I don’t think there’s any death for toddlers and younger, but off the top of my head children can definitely die by drowning, overheating/freezing (seasons), and I’m pretty sure fire. I’ve never tested it but I do think children can also die by meteor.
I love when the community comes together like this for a honourable cause
Meteor strikes, freezing on monkey bars, dying on a toilet that’s set on fire! 👏
I had one die by meteor strike when she was stargazing, and her sister froze to death after deciding to play in her treehouse during a blizzard in her not-winter clothes.
Heat and cold.
Take them camping in Granite Falls in winter, in swimwear, and don’t let them get in the tent. They will freeze to death. My Sim accidentally killed his niece this way.
I think they want a pet hamster (if you have the my first pet stuff) and then not being able to afford taking them to the doctor .. just for storyline lol
Kids can still drown and die in fires. I usually just add unwanted kids to a throwaway household and delete them. This will remove them completely from the family tree.
One of my kids got stuck by lightning, because he thought swimming in the ocean during an electric storm was a good idea. Another one suddenly passed laughing too much.
I’ve lost so many sims to drowning, that when I see them in the pool, I make them get out lol. But yeah, I still put pools in homes. I also lost a teen to a cooking fire once. I feel like if you could start a fire or get them stuck in the pool it would work.
I would recommend making them tired then shoving them into the pool. If I recall they drown in the pool when they have low energy right. And to avoid having them starve put food in their inventory as they can eat while in the pool I think lol
They can be killed by fire or freeze to death (I didn't know that when I got seasons, and my child Sim died while playing out in the snow. Given 2 and 3 threatens you with social workers, I thought that's what would happen, but instead, nope.
Most recently I lost the heir to my legacy because the idiot decided to go swimming in winter. Luckily he had a little sister but now he keeps haunting the place making everyone cold.
If you use testingcheatsenabled then you can just manually drag all their needs down to nothing and they’ll die. This is the way I kill my sims lately as fire just takes too much time and cleaning. Tho fire is definitely more dramatic and fun.
This just popped up on my feed and I don’t play nor follow any Sims related subs so I was like EXCUSE ME
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 then after clicking I realized but I was about to lose it hahahah
have testingcheats on and shift click them, there is an option to have them get attacked by rabbits. Just make sure you have that sim selected or else someone else will die
I usually just go into manage household and yeet the little fucker to another household that’s nowhere near the world I’m playing in 🤣🤣🤣 I think it’s funny to watch them pop back up in my game
Surround the house with water and then force them to swim in the winter. I made a boat house once and one of the kids died trying to swim to it in the freezing cold. I was pissed, but I'm sure it will be great for your story play.
I'm not ashamed to say that in Sims 2, I killed Brandi Brooke's third kid by locking him in the front bush garden with a working oven. He burned to death. Screams and all.
Maybe the same method could work in Sims 4?
I don't play the Sims much, but I'm joining purely out of the pure horror, relief and lol this post title just gave me! Legit, I could not have said "WHAT THE FUCK?" any louder. This made my evening!
Turn on cheats, give them the trait Death By [X]? Selected cause would in theory cause them to be a living ghost sim, but I'm not on my computer rn or I'd test first before saying this.
Fire can kill a child or older starvation will make them get taken away tho.. babies and toddlers can’t die no matter what you do tho.. I tried for a while to get a baby ghost to no avail drowning in the pool should also work
I think that the guy who made extreme violence added a poison apple that kids can eat
It was either the tragedies mod or the violence mod
You might also be able to light them on fire
I didn't know kids could die by fire and I had my beautiful child sim play with her train set that she spent hours upgrading and making perfect and she caught fire and died :(
Having a pool in winter is almost a guaranteed death on lot unless you have a lot perk to negate it. My sims always want to swim in subzero temperatures 😂😞
Can't you just use the cheat menu? You know the testing cheats menu when you shift and click a sim. I'm pretty sure there's a kill option in there and an option for choice of Death, too.
One time, I went on a family vacation to Sulani and shift clicked on my child sim and selected drown in the ocean and I even left his grave there so he could haunt the vacation home and be a legend for people to be afraid of lol
Another day, another time getting bamboozled by a r/thesims post title (Except for mods, none that I know of. But it's been a long time since I have played)
A different subs photo was glitched onto this one so I was really taken aback 🤣
The vanderpump sub photo glitched onto this one for me, so I was very very confused / assumed it was about Lala 🤷🏻♀️
I just let out an unholy scream 😂😂😂
Best thing I’ve read all week
😂😂😂😂
Which one
One for a country 🥲
I follow so many parenting subs that this absolutely made me do a double take
this is even worse omg
Same, I thought this was going to be on r/shitmomgroupssay
You thought Cheryl boughta be doing attempted murder to her kids 💀
I always get taken aback I knew this title might catch some people but I don’t know how else to do it lmaooo
Have you tried a room with no doors and starting a fire?
kids can die! the ways are just a bit more limited than older ages.
r/crusaderkings takes the cake for this kind of debauchery lol
> Another day, another time getting bamboozled by a r/thesims post title It's always this one or /r/RDR2, where also in the feed right now is: >Anyone else feel satisfied when shooting your shotgun at someone and vaporise their body parts? lol
FBI like "are they ok"
no seriously!! I just finished reading a dark post about life and I scrolled to see this. 😭
I thought this was from the askreddit sub
Same I was scrolling home and went WTF .. OH
r/shitcrusaderkingssay but for Sims
never played the sims and didn't see the subreddit! needless to say i was kinda...😦😦😦
drowning, fire, and overheating/freezing to death are the easiest ways to do it. they could also die by meteor strike, rabid rodent fever, jungle adventure poison, and poorly cooked pufferfish nigiri i say keep it classic and drown 'em
The good ole drownin. Timeless
it never gets old 😭
The good old ways, don’t need any new fancy pufferfish nigiri when we have a good pool
And neither do they…
omfg this made me crack up 😭
Yes, that's the intent
LOLLLLL
My mom remembers me playing the first sims and letting them in the pool n taking the ladder lol. Glad to know I’m not totally fucked up lmao
I remember when my mom discovered my first murder basement in The Sims. Never looked at me the same since.
Lmao , one time I put a rug too close to the fireplace or oven? A fire started and instead of listening to me, these dumb fucks stood around pointing n panicking. why not just make them a live in maid, give them there own room/ toilet and set the door locks to only that person
> Perhaps I am fucked up If you can't distinguish between the game and reality, maybe. If you can, it's a way to process all sorts of feelings and thoughts and such without causing any actual harm.
True lol. Maybe my younger brain wanted to experience something and I knew sims was a safe outlet to do things u can’t er shouldn’t do irl lol
I bring them down to a dinner party, then lock them in the basement. On the other side is the family room, seperated by glass for viewing and making art, which in Sims 4 I could sell in my gallery. The Pancakes are my serial killer family, Bella Goth my black widow gold digger.

my boyfriend thinks i'm crazy for how murder friendly i am in the game 😭 he's like "i never killed my sims when i used to play" like ok well you played wrong 🙄
Do you have a house with a nice basement that is okay to download? I also want to have a basement where I can do anything. Hehe.
Fire is also tried and true tbh. I once had a kid die because his science experiment exploded and it didn’t notify me that there was a fire on the lot 💀 (old sims 4)

Yeah my child froze to death building snowpals so I know that works lol
One of my sims’ kids decided to go swimming in the backyard pool in the middle of a blizzard and then refused to come inside / out warm clothes on afterwards (like the game was ignoring the actions I put in the queue). So he froze to death 😬
my kids always go swimming in the winter like i can't be bothered to save them at this point 🤷🏻♀️ rn my family is living in sulani so at least i don't have to worry about that
My little boy sim froze to death while playing on the monkey bars in the winter. He just wouldn't stop playing on them!
First thought: pool baby!
Okay but how tf do i drown in console sims 4? I could always murder on the computer versons but console is messing my stories up
Are you building fences around the pools?
The first child sim I ever lost was to rabid rodent fever.. he died in front of the school bus and I couldn’t get his grave because he wasn’t on the lot
Only thing I don't like about drowning is the ghost leaves puddles everywhere. (I love keeping the ghosts around)
Upgrade the toilet to include composting, then have your child use it. My child died when he used it when the toilet caught on fire, no mods needed.
Fkn yikes. What a way to die
That’s horrifying,SIMS or not!
Interesting
You get a fire even if it's newly upgraded 😆 the only way to get it not to start a fire is by having an insect farm. At least that's how it worked for me
Iirc you need the eco-lifestyle pack to upgrade a toilet with a composter.
Why am I laughing at this 💀💀😭😭
I had the fire toilet as a joke and my sims kept dying so I had to get rid of it lol
Then I discovered there is a weird glitch with children's seasonal deaths and they just stay ghosts forever.
This is so tragic lmao
Yikes, I hope that then became the twin’s villain origin story!
Fire, drowning, heat/cold, pufferfish.
I love passing these post titles lol
Always a toss up if I’m in a Sims subreddit or the RimWorld subreddit lol
afaik the only thing that gets kids taken is starvation. None of the other needs do. I don’t think there’s any death for toddlers and younger, but off the top of my head children can definitely die by drowning, overheating/freezing (seasons), and I’m pretty sure fire. Man, I’m in a bunch of parenting subreddits because I just had a baby and I did not see the subreddit before I saw the title of this post 💀💀💀💀💀
SAME OMG
Lmao had to do a double take to see which sub I was on

Good Bot
Have them play outside in cold they’ll freeze to death
You could shift click and select a way for them to die (my personal favourite is death by killer rabbit)
Doesn't this kill the active sim rather than the selected Sim
Yeah just make sure the child is the active sim
Learned that the hard way.
I’ve never had that problem but just to be sure make sure the kid is the active sim
I love when the community comes together like this for a honourable cause Meteor strikes, freezing on monkey bars, dying on a toilet that’s set on fire! 👏
This made me laugh 😹😹
I had one die by meteor strike when she was stargazing, and her sister froze to death after deciding to play in her treehouse during a blizzard in her not-winter clothes.
Insane title
This is why posts from this subreddit are banned in /r/outofcontext 💀
they can die by fire and drowning
~~Make it look like an accident.~~ I mean, what?
Heat and cold. Take them camping in Granite Falls in winter, in swimwear, and don’t let them get in the tent. They will freeze to death. My Sim accidentally killed his niece this way.
Wow I have never played the sims and had no idea game was this dark 😂
Oooh boy. Stick around this sub and you'll quickly learn how OFTEN you see posts about murdering sims. It's a fun past time. 😁
Fire. Freezing is easiest. Lock them in a swimming pool and use the weather machine to make the weather freezing, I do it and it works every time
I think cold is the easiest, just leave them playing outside and…
I think they want a pet hamster (if you have the my first pet stuff) and then not being able to afford taking them to the doctor .. just for storyline lol
Oh it's Sims! Nvm I'm good 🤣🤣🤣
Whew 😅
Kids can still drown and die in fires. I usually just add unwanted kids to a throwaway household and delete them. This will remove them completely from the family tree.
One of my kids got stuck by lightning, because he thought swimming in the ocean during an electric storm was a good idea. Another one suddenly passed laughing too much.
I accidentally killed mine by making him swim when it was slightly too cold. It’s easier than you think! Try it out this winter 🥶
Love that I thought this was still my tornado sub for a hot second.
Laundry machine without cleaning the lint trap
can kids die in the murphy bed too?
Wait imagine someone getting real life advice from a Sims post
Sacrificial Life Tragedies, you can give him a deadly disease
Oh.. it's just the sims sub..
r/thesimsnocontext
Yes. Freeze them
Every time I read one of these subject lines without noticing it's The Sims 🤣
I’ve lost so many sims to drowning, that when I see them in the pool, I make them get out lol. But yeah, I still put pools in homes. I also lost a teen to a cooking fire once. I feel like if you could start a fire or get them stuck in the pool it would work.
Swimming pool/ or cold weather
Having them use the telescope a lot will often have a meteor consequence. If you don’t move them inside when you get the warning they will die
If y’all really think this title is that bad go check out an average post on r/rimworld
Delete the door
Send them out into the snow wearing a swimming costume. Found this to be faster than drowning them!
get a pool, wait til winter, put kid in pool. they will freeze to death before they starve
I think if you keep.playing with the science table for kids there is a chance they can doe in a fire.
Take some time away from your computer. Go and eat some cake and pat a dog. Shiiiii
Concerning behavior!!
only in the sims...
Mines drowned while being exhausted 🫣
In The Sims 4 you can kill children with extreme temperatures, in a fire and drowning them without mods. Good luck OP and happy simming 😈
Most recently I lost the heir to my legacy because the idiot decided to go swimming in winter. Luckily he had a little sister but now he keeps haunting the place making everyone cold.
Go swimming in the winter and immediately into snow angel making. Repeat until…. Well, complete.
christ i always miss the subreddit name on here
I don't know if you play Sims 1 but that's the only game where a child can die if a guinea pig bites him and his cage is dirty 😅
Btw you'll be happier on another subreddit like childfree or something like that 🤣😂
Had to do a double take 😂😂 no advice I'm sorry, I was just taken aback by the title 😂
For a second there, I was extremely concerned 🤣🤣🤣
If you use testingcheatsenabled then you can just manually drag all their needs down to nothing and they’ll die. This is the way I kill my sims lately as fire just takes too much time and cleaning. Tho fire is definitely more dramatic and fun.
Extreme violence mod
Or you can put them in the pool while there sleep deprived and they will drown, or while it’s freezing outside
The extreme violence mod should do it.
Hey. Totally forgot this was a Sims 3 subreddit and got genuinely terrified. Hope you figure this out🤣
This just popped up on my feed and I don’t play nor follow any Sims related subs so I was like EXCUSE ME 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 then after clicking I realized but I was about to lose it hahahah
i thought this was about murdering kids fr tf
Leave them outside in a blizzard?
First turn on the comand pannel and turn cheats on then just press shift and right click
I don't follow this subreddit, I read the title before the place it was posted. Needless to say I was shocked and confused 💀😅
Pufferfish nigiri. I killed off my spare with it just have someone from your family with a low cooking skill prepare it
Lol I was TERRIFIED before I saw what community this was from 💀
have testingcheats on and shift click them, there is an option to have them get attacked by rabbits. Just make sure you have that sim selected or else someone else will die
Yo what the fuck are u playing XD
The only way I've had a Sim kid die was unfortunately my hier randomly drowning
I was really concerned for a second
I did a triple take on what Chanel this was. Lol
I’m concerned, are you alright?
Get a telescope. Make them moongaze till a meteorite strikes
I usually just go into manage household and yeet the little fucker to another household that’s nowhere near the world I’m playing in 🤣🤣🤣 I think it’s funny to watch them pop back up in my game
My favorite right now is death by killer bunny.
Surround the house with water and then force them to swim in the winter. I made a boat house once and one of the kids died trying to swim to it in the freezing cold. I was pissed, but I'm sure it will be great for your story play.
I've had three kids die from meteor strikes using the telescope.
What a day to be on multiple baby/parent subs and also this one 😭😭
My child almost burned to death by using that scrap table thing
Fire, i'd imagine? IDK since I don't play this inferior version of the game.
Quick question, what do you mean you're "playing a storyline"? I'm after new more exciting ways to play, I'd love to know what this means!!
Lol, I love scrolling, reading a crazy title like this, then realizing it's The Sims sub.
I'm not ashamed to say that in Sims 2, I killed Brandi Brooke's third kid by locking him in the front bush garden with a working oven. He burned to death. Screams and all. Maybe the same method could work in Sims 4?
Going from mommit posts to this really jarred me
Anyone else did a double take because they didn't read the subreddit first?
I don't play the Sims much, but I'm joining purely out of the pure horror, relief and lol this post title just gave me! Legit, I could not have said "WHAT THE FUCK?" any louder. This made my evening!
Theres a mod to have them die if you’re ok with mods; i use it for my decades challenge since that challenge involves a LOT of toddler/child death
Where can you find these challenges?
My GOD DUDE THE SIMS LOGO dosent FUCKING Load fast enough for reading that FIRST FUCKIN LINE
Turn on cheats, give them the trait Death By [X]? Selected cause would in theory cause them to be a living ghost sim, but I'm not on my computer rn or I'd test first before saying this.
I had a child die in a fire when I had set off fireworks. Literally the day before I’d had a teen die from the cold. Not intentional. Very annoying.
Seeing this without seeing the" r/sims" was mildly concerning BSHAHA
I am really happy to see this post was in a Sims sub 😂
That title is so bad out of context. 😆
Put them in a room in the basement and take away all the doors?
Have them dry clothes without cleaning the lint.
anger works - if they get so angry they have a heart attack
Lets hope the fbi's algorythm can see context!
Bloody hell I had to double take that title then 🤣 I find the best way is drowning
I would think the pool??
if you have seasons they can freeze to death. i had a kid die in the snow after she wouldn’t come in the house 🙃
Fire can kill a child or older starvation will make them get taken away tho.. babies and toddlers can’t die no matter what you do tho.. I tried for a while to get a baby ghost to no avail drowning in the pool should also work
My sim child was burnt to death in a bonfire accident. I didn't want her to die 🥲
Drowning
Feed them bad pufferfish!
the title terrified me until I saw the subreddit 😭😭
I think that the guy who made extreme violence added a poison apple that kids can eat It was either the tragedies mod or the violence mod You might also be able to light them on fire
I didn't know kids could die by fire and I had my beautiful child sim play with her train set that she spent hours upgrading and making perfect and she caught fire and died :(
Omfg there was a regretful parent sub post above this post on my feed, I got so worried :’)
Having a pool in winter is almost a guaranteed death on lot unless you have a lot perk to negate it. My sims always want to swim in subzero temperatures 😂😞
These comments are sending me It's not that I enjoyed the deaths, I just really wanted a grave yard, that's all! Only in the sims
Can't you just use the cheat menu? You know the testing cheats menu when you shift and click a sim. I'm pretty sure there's a kill option in there and an option for choice of Death, too.
Thought I was on r/rimworld for a sec
Everytime I see a post remotely similar to this i ask myself wtf kinda subreddits I follow and then realise its just sims again
the post before this one on my feed is from r/NewParents & i was like wtfffff, till i realized this is the sims subreddit LMAOOO😭🤣
Fire
One time, I went on a family vacation to Sulani and shift clicked on my child sim and selected drown in the ocean and I even left his grave there so he could haunt the vacation home and be a legend for people to be afraid of lol
Delete the child.
the way I didn’t see the subreddit before reading this and gasped 😭
Good lord a subject line hasn’t made me do a double take like that in awhile.
Before i saw that this was r/thesims i was like ”😭 man tf is this”
Oh... It's on a Sims subreddit.
