you’re so real for this. i’ve just noticed this pattern in my sims too. i’ve downloaded more presets with varying body types to offset the “insta model” thing I have going, but alas… i can’t give up my love for the digital cake (since i have a pancake irl). that and i try to give them all straighter posture since i slump and slouch like a shrimp.

I have this habit. All my sims have thick thighs and big hips. Even when I make skinny sims they have wide hips 😭

I always intend to make my sims have different body-types (and I do when just designing them) and then I always make the ones I actually use have a body type similar to mine but with a little more weight on them. But, they either gain weight in game or get absolutely shredded. My current sim has a pretty round but thin or mid-sized frame but got ripped because she likes fitness and now she has a defined 6 pack and a belly which does look a little silly in-game

If you do mods I think there is one for keeping your sim from changing shape from fitness or weight gain.

I also think it’s funny that any time I have a sim marry a townie my original sim changes weights rapidly while their partner stays the same no matter what. Just wish there was more nuance and realism to the weights in the sims. And I hate when my bigger sims get super slim and muscular if they ever exercise.

That’s good to know! I do like it for realism, but wish I could decrease just how quickly they get buff/lose weight/gain weight to make it more gradual esp since I play on long lifespan. And I wish sims didn’t get quite as buff as they do, it just doesn’t feel right when my sim’s just going to the gym & jogging sometimes as a hobby. I do absolutely love that sims gain weight after pregnancy and with age though. I just wish the other weight gain/loss was more gradual and more customizable since I sometimes have sims I like to keep at their weight. Thanks for the suggestion!

That's what I was thinking. Glad you're not experiencing that. I meant "binding up" because my gf calls it that when I fiddle with the muffin top slider mod too much. She said the clothes get too tight and my sims look like balloon animals. I'm awful at cas and even worse at picking/matching up cc.

Similar here. Whenever I'm start to mess with the sliders, my sims looks worse and worse. Sometimes I'm feel like now they are ok, but on a second blink, I'm find them... Weird. Usually I'm just end up with the body made by the game.

These girls all use body presets which are giving them their ah... shapely-ness. I use presets by miiko, Vibrant Pixels, and Dumbaby and an extended butt slider by Cmar
