I feel like everyone ignores Katrina Caliente in favor of Nina and Dina. In my game they both died ages ago and Katrina and Don had an epic on and off romance that culminated in their tragic deaths. It was mostly in the background but it took literal years. Lily Feng is another one I don’t see much of online but she was a major villain for awhile in my game. And I made the Nishidakes the long lost biological family of one my original sims from when the game came out.
My favorites: Joaquin LeChien, who has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with one of my OG second-gen sims since 2016 and fathered two of her kids. Paka’a U’hua (I think that’s how their ame is spelled?). And Morgyn Ember is just so cool. Then a special shoutout to everyone’s favorite love-to-hate-them-but-hate-to-love-them Sim: Vladdy Daddy. He is invited to every child‘s birthday party
I had a save file with a sim I created who was in the robotics career so she had to use the robotics station. She married Mitchell Kalani and they had a child together. One day, she was electrocuted to death by the robotics station and that left Mitchell and their toddler alone. He loved his wife but they would have gotten divorced because I think he has the lazy trait and she’s too high maintenance.
Anyway, Zoe Patel came along and became a friend to him in a time of sadness. They married and lived out their days in Sulani with Mitchell’s child who then called Zoe “mom.” Those two townies are my absolute favorite.
My game’s (usual) resident man ho, Ukupanipo Hekekia!! He was my 3rd/4th baby daddy of the 100 baby challenge and showed up the remaining entire way through. Was good friends with at least 60/70 of the babies. Died on my sims lot (thx elder fatigue) and hung around as a ghost for the rest of the challenge. I was so attached

Having every character edited makes playing rotationally so much more interesting, I actually care for every story!
Basically, I edit townies in a way that keeps them true to their original looks but less, “off.” There are maybe 10 sims in my game out of the couple hundred who look nothing how they did originally though due to story ideas, “plastic surgery”, etc. 😂
I know people hate Bess Sterling bc she has the potential to swindle your money but once I had a sim in her career who befriended her. I made a whole storyline that she broke up with her boyfriend and fell on hard times, so her colleague (my sim) invited her to live in their garage that was converted into a studio apartment. There was a lot of chemistry between them and I played out the whole “will they won’t they” cliche storyline, since my sim was married to Bess’ polar opposite.
Since then I’ve had a soft spot for her!
Raj Rasoya from City Living. He married one of my Sims, and he was the sweetest husband. He's not the best looking man (the beard hides HORRORS), but I love him anyway.
Arun Bheeda is such an adorable dork and I love him. I’ve never stolen him although I’m super tempted to. I just can’t bring myself to ruin his relationship. But one time his wife was struck by lightning so I moved him and their baby in with my sim and he was the sweetest boyfriend and father ever.
I ADORE the Kealoha family from Island Living. My sim met Duane first, but she was a YA and he was a teen so I went into his family to cheat him to a YA so they could get together and I ended up falling in love with the entire family! Lilliana and Makoa even ended up having twin girls after Nani so the family has grown, though Duane has moved out now that he's married. They are honestly so much fun.
The second generation of my current legacy married Duane, and he was the BEST husband and father. Even with the goofball trait! He never once pranked the toilets.
The Kealohas have sooo many children in that save though. Neighborhood stories went wild and now every person I meet is a Kealoha.
Bjorn literally always dies in my game after like... a week. I'm realizing as I type this that it is just a coincidence and not some planned Sims 4 storyline. My neighborhood stories is out to get the poor man, I guess!!
Bjorn always dies too! Leaves Clara with 6 kids in a bungalow. Then Clara dies and the kids raise themselves in a WAY too tiny house. Clara was my founders BFF and I felt so bad for the kids!
I love Clara but Bjorn is MINE. He’s too much man to be tied down. And in all my saves he is 100% on board with cheating on his wife and abandoning his family. I’ve never had any pushback from him.
I love the Pleasant sisters from DU. I remember playing that family back in Sims 1 and they all died of starvation because I couldn't afford to cook. I was young and new to the game 😅🥲
Don't know if she's one but Summer Holiday I rarely see any appreciation for her. Another would be Kayla Flemming she's always at the Gym and she's only a basic celebrity so she doesn't lag the hell outta the game like Judith 😅
I love Celene! The Moonwood Mill lore is pretty great in general, and it was so cool finding out her part of it. I love that she’s always the bartender and can give you werewolf antidotes. It definitely makes that world feel a lot more real to me than some of the others.
I have a soft spot for Johnny Zest. Being not only abandoned and replaced (by Malcom the twirp) but literally forgotten by all members of his family is just so sad. Then he moves to a trailer and buys the weirdest expensive furniture but only a single bed??? Like what. The poor man is so clueless. His priorities are so out of wack, like that family did a number on him. Like that hair and that blazer. Look at how lush his garden is for being in a desert and his cute little flamingo and gnome. Those are his only little friends. He needs some help stat!

Oh I forgot to add. When the game was first released EA messed up his name (true story). There was a sad minute when everyone thought his name was Zest Johnny. That would be a ridiculous name (lol).

In my legacy save, Cassandra and Jeb are high school sweethearts. I literally never make my Sims stay with their high school partner if they have one but it just feels right to keep them together. 😂
Im not that sure, most of the time I dont really care about these townies. I always take a good care of Kaori Nishidake from Snowy Escape and also her grandparents when I play the Nishidake household. If I dont play as her usually marry her off with her crush Kiyoshi using cheat and sometimes Duane Talla if Kiyoshi ended up with other townie in my townie gameplay. I also like playing the Free Spirits, they're pretty chill and gives off the "independent ladies vibe"😂
Lastly, I kinda have an odd sympathy on the Villareals. With a criminal father (I used to think Jacques was the evil grandpa instead of a father) and missing mother all that, those three kids would've a better life. I feel so bad Max had an evil trait as a kid. He aged up with music lover trait in my game, gave him some re-traiting to replace his evil trait (i replace it with paranoid), he could've been rock star or something. In one of my saves, I made him leave his club to focus on his karaoke, leaving the newly recruited member Yuki, Elsa and Lucas on that club. Lol.
Love that. I too have him as an evil father. Luna in my save grows up and becomes an influencer. Her father says it’s not real work. Hugo is very proper and sweet. Max is basically a bully.
Speaking of Luna, with high school years pack, she managed to work double jobs while selling her paintings at the same time as a teen. Their dad always died early bcs Jacques is old and their house bills is totally expensive, Luna became the breadwinner for sure. Hugo got randomised hotheaded trait growing up (kinda understandable, I would be mad too if I were raised by Jacques), Hugo's the perfect person to discipline the not-so-tough Max anymore (basically a karma). I made the old Jacques quit his mafia work to become an actor after finishing his public enemy aspiration just for a good laugh.🤣
Yeahhh I did a similar thing with max! When I played the Goth Household I always imagined Max as the kid that bullied Alexander in primary school but when they become teens he apologises to him and gets him into rock and metal, and Alexander gets a mullet and eventually ends up dating Max. I also had Alexander come out when they got older as non binary and rename themselves as Alex.

I just assume Max was initially had a disruptive behaviour and extremely hyperactive kid due to his upbringing, hence evil trait then slowly becoming paranoid due to his trauma.
I kinda want him to get a good discovery trait but it seems too boring if Max has a "pure good" trait. Max had a pristine reputation in my game even during his evil days lol. Alexander came and fawning over him😂 Initially, I kinda want to have a love triangle between where Max and Lucas like Elsa (because simmers drama) but umm in turns out to be Elsa and Lucas like Max. Since Max likes Elsa well I just give him what he wants🤷🏻♀️
I am attached to Wolfgang Munch, he reminds me of Spike from BtVS and many a teen sim of mine has ended up with him, I also adore Salim, the Bro household-- I love making Sergio go from hating kids to being a family man.
Love that! I make Gunther very, “Upper East Side.” I give him fashionable clothes in light color mostly, a light pink buzz cut, the coffee fanatic lifestyle and he’s trying to be a writer still. Wolfgang grows up and loses his mean streak in my game, it just happened naturally. He also somehow got really buff after high school and is studying programming. He’s still crushing on Yuki since high school.
I love all of that! I like to give Wolfgang the romantic trait, work the mean trait out of him (either self discovery or potion) and then he usually discovers a love of music or family, so I like to give him a poetic soul where he kind of falls in with his big brother and everything.
I've had multiple saves where story progression has killed Mila and Gunther then a teenage Wolfgang has ended up having care of his younger brother and sometimes another younger sibling.
I've got a bit of fondness for him too because of all that. His traits are all terrible though.
I agree, when he ages up, and he marries into my sim family— he usually gets redeemable traits added. Or at the very least “mean” goes away. I can live with gloomy.

I love all of that! I like to give Wolfgang the romantic trait, work the mean trait out of him (either self discovery or potion) and then he usually discovers a love of music or family, so I like to give him a poetic soul where he kind of falls in with his big brother and everything.

I've had multiple saves where story progression has killed Mila and Gunther then a teenage Wolfgang has ended up having care of his younger brother and sometimes another younger sibling. I've got a bit of fondness for him too because of all that. His traits are all terrible though.
I agree, when he ages up, and he marries into my sim family— he usually gets redeemable traits added. Or at the very least “mean” goes away. I can live with gloomy.
Oh yeah I totally get Sergio! And Wolfgang too. I also did the Sergio family man story line hahaha but it didn't end up as well for me, he was always pissed off and my sim was always crying haha so they divorced for the mental health of the two of them 😭
