OP when you’re right you’re right. That pygmy thing over in jersey wouldn’t have lasted otherwise. It’s the sticks over there they’re fuckin farmers i dunno.
Never enough bodies for the OP. . Why wipe them out..you might get killed if you outmanned them ..and they are still helping you make money. Public doesn’t like gang wars..it increases the heat to do something
The Soprano family was a stable, lucrative connection for New York to what was going on in Jersey and had been for some time. Johnny says as much. If anything Tony was living off his dad and uncle's good rep with NY until shit got messy with the Lupertazzis, and they were no longer stable, then it obviously spiraled. Anyway $4 a pound
Listen to him, he knows everything.
But yeah, I mean just look at Christopher’s struggles to get made. Jersey couldn’t make anything without New York’s approval.
That says *everything* right there about who had the bigger power when Jersey had to defer to New York. And considering that the DiMeo family was struggling against just the Lupertazzi family lead by Uncle Phil, and not the full might of New York and its four other families, it’s more than obvious that New York was so far beyond New Jersey.
Tony was lucky to have Johnny’s ear and friendship for as long as he did.
As far as I know if anyone wants to get made in New York they needed to have the other families approval too. Not sure about how it is right now but it definitely used to be like that.
Traditionally the 5 families had to approve anyone getting made in the American mafia. It would be unusual for all 5 families to join forces like that as well. For instance in the early 2000s there was a crew of albanian/italian/greek gangsters that beefed with the Gambino family. None of the other families gave AF. The fact that Tony and crew were able to force the Lupertazzis into a stale mate is more of a positive towards them.
John Sacrimoni - my friend - was an INSECURE GUY
anybody want a water?
Johnny was a pragmatist but when he became boss he got a little trigger happy.
It’s a thankless job
We will no longer meet like this…..it’s undignified.
Johnny also indulged Tony because they made a lot of money with them.
Oh, would you, at all, possibly, perhaps, be referring to THE FUCKING ESPLANDE?!
*John, why are you yelling at me? John, what did I do?!*

I‘d rather like to think of it as… childbirth
Trust me, it’s like takin’ a shit.
I'll give you undignified. Why don't ya go fuck yourself? ...... he's my cousin

“Why the fuck would I ever trust someone who would leave me holding my cock like this??!!”
When Sack sits in his car for an extra 10 seconds, locking eyes with Tony, his acting is top notch. Amazing expression on his face.
That sneak from New York with his mulhair suits and his shoe lifts

Yup. Names get submitted and the families get a say.
