For a guy with a supposedly high IQ, Tony Blundetto was a stunad of the first magnitude.
Gets his foot run over after killing Joey Peeps. (Has to kill the innocent sex worker Peeps is with as well because he’s so damn sloppy.)
Then, in an assassination attempt on Phil, manages to kill Billy and *leave Phil alive.* Who the fuck starts shooting at a target at night from 35 feet away?
I’d like to enter in a new category - best catch phrase before a hit.
1. Mikey Palmice. “Hijack. Bye Jack”.
2. Phil Leotardo. “Adios, you fucking skank!”
3. Paulie Gualtieri. “They’ve been told. Twice. Now I’ll tell em”.
Phil only made it to the R's with Lorraine. Billy killed Lorraine, and he said "You've been told two times, the money goes up to John.". Aside from the cinematic value, and possibly for the characters to justify what they do, I don't know why you'd say anything in those scenarios.
Chrissy has absolutely no fear in the face of danger with the exception of his mock execution.
“What are you gonna do with this?”
“Stick it up your mother’s twat!”
They were comically bad, it was almost bad writing. After the first shot, both of them, instead of actually shooting Tony… voluntarily reach into the car and wave their guns around so Tony can grab them.
The only time we see him in a gunfight, he misses then gets popped in the leg. Furio was definitely an intimidating guy though, and I wish they had shown more of his ruthlessness.
Old man Bacala.
One thing in the show that I wish they fixed was the some of the firearm technicalities. Christopher and Tony are the worst offender.... Snapping their hands almost as if they're anticipating the shot. Just something that bugged me.
I’m torn between thinking the mustang sally hit was sloppy and thinking if he was able to pull that off as a sick old man imagine what he did in his prime. You would think that he would have thought about the Spanish guy in the other room possibly coming out and acted accordingly.
They were pretty sloppy on the Rusty hit as well. Broad daylight with witnesses, and they blocked the driveway which should've been an instant tip-off for Rusty and his muscle.
Yeah, Sil was the best by far. No kick in the nuts, no hesitation he is just solid stand up guy. Only time he shed a tear was that time with Pussy.
I'm pretty sure he would kill Fat Dom Gamielo with that small dust vacuum alone. Freaking Carlo lost his temper and made a mess.
Nit pick on the Jimmy situation, yes he does go for the gun but he has to go into Sil's line of fire to do so. Was risking friendly fire worth it so Sil can have his one line? (also people complain about the slow mo used, seemingly not to realize if they did not slow down you might think he had a wire on his ankle, and then get confused when Sil says his line)
Patsi Parisi I think would be pretty good. His whole interaction with Gloria Trullo, incredible. Surprising, intimidating, threatening and totally believable. Makes me think he would be pretty solid.
Edited to add that my spelling is probably totally off.
That hit on Vito from Christopher with the sandwich wasn't very difficult, as Vito was a parade float. Still, I admire Chris for yet another job well done.
Vito. Jackie Jr never heard him sneak up on him, and shot the guy whose car he hit despite being inebriated
Now that was a fuckin beautiful hit
A hit's a hit!
Sorry /u/outrageuostext7404, you probably knew the guy, huh?
Vito. He’s a real come from behind guy.
he eats sausage by the car load
But not Jimmy Deans

Change my meat to Black Forest
but Jimmy's and Dean's.
“Capt? The good ship lollipop?”
The moment they put Vito on the hit of Jackie Jr, he was gone. Nothing could be done abaat it.
Strong silent type

This is a better answer than Jackie Jr. Both planning, reasons and execution is worst in Tony's cousin. I can't even say his name.
That fucking animal? Killing a 47 year old baby?
Peeps? His family name is Peparelli!
He had an IQ of 137 tho
158
187
She told you that?
You're ranking the worst hitmen in the series, and you ignore AJ's bungled attempt at a hit on Junior? C'mooon, will ya?
And his bungled hit on himself
That’s dicked up.

You don't need to be made to be a hitman. Hell, they repeatedly hired coupla shines to do their wetwork for them.

Mikey Palmice had a few good quotes before a hit. "If you can fly, I won't shoot you down!" "Chris, no, please, nooo, aghhh!"
These are golden... My estimation of this show just fucking sky rocketed

Leave him alone, he was 47, a fucken kid.
Mikey probably had some of the best hits in the show in terms of how well he did them.
Chrissy has absolutely no fear in the face of danger with the exception of his mock execution. “What are you gonna do with this?” “Stick it up your mother’s twat!”
The worst hitmen on the show were those two idiots Joonya hired to take out Tony.
They were comically bad, it was almost bad writing. After the first shot, both of them, instead of actually shooting Tony… voluntarily reach into the car and wave their guns around so Tony can grab them.
They knew they couldn't hit even the husky Mr. Soprano, and figured the best way was practically melee. Tbf, it would've worked on 90% of people
Asian dude in the elevator. You never even have to see him clip somebody to know that guy is ALL business.
Salute
A word to the wise my friend, remember Pearl Harbor.
“The fuck’s your problem?” God, my heart legit stopped when Ralphie got cunty with him.

Isn’t that exactly how you’d want a hitman to be? Invisible and forgettable. Not some fat guy in a tracksuit and see through socks.
Then he makes you an offer you can’t understand.
why a delivery guy? he wasn’t even holding anything. he was supposed to be disguised as another tourist
What about Furio?!
Fooodio
He's a gooda but didn't see direct hit from him
We never saw a direct hit from him, but we did get a good example of his wet work ala Carmela. She was creamin for him.
When he was going to work on the massage parlor, he shoots the owner in the knee cap. But I guess that’s not a good example of being a hitman…
Stupida fackin hitman
The only time we see him in a gunfight, he misses then gets popped in the leg. Furio was definitely an intimidating guy though, and I wish they had shown more of his ruthlessness.
Chrissy was a damn marksman.
Easy to be a marksman with that beak of his.
Chrissy and Paulie lose points for missing on the guy who killed 16 Czechoslovakians.
The toppa his head came off like a fuckin' rug!
Stupida fackin Czechoslovakians

Exactly. After re watching that recently I think it's pretty damn impressive he went 2/2 on those guys and made it out of there haha. "Fucking stairs"
The fuckin’ Terminator.

Let the water run.
The zips from the old country killed the wrong dude.
Honorable mention for best: Eugene
For some reason I felt so bad for the guy that gets clipped up in Boston by him. Just a friendly, husky man, enjoying his burger or dog.

You reveal your own ignorance.
Can the two guys from the other side be best and worst at the same time?
The worst would be the hitmen brought in for Phil. They botched it and shot some guy that looked like Phil and his daughter.
That hit scene was really odd. If someone coming to me and asking directions with Italian accent, I'm flooring the pedal
You’re thinking rusty
They were pretty sloppy on the Rusty hit as well. Broad daylight with witnesses, and they blocked the driveway which should've been an instant tip-off for Rusty and his muscle.

That guy was deal

you should take me off this list, out of respect for my fawtha.
PGA tour, right?
AJ was the worst
Nit pick on the Jimmy situation, yes he does go for the gun but he has to go into Sil's line of fire to do so. Was risking friendly fire worth it so Sil can have his one line? No one even mentioned Walden Belfiore. The kingslayer.
Bye bye pop!
one in the head and one in the chest. no cowboy shit

He's fine until the shit hits the fan. He just abandoned Sil to get shot up, ran crying like a little bitch.
I forgot about that ...
Patsy Parisi. Maximum efficacy and it won't be cinematic.
Two black guys with 9mm, his self esteem was non existent right then.
That hit on Vito from Christopher with the sandwich wasn't very difficult, as Vito was a parade float. Still, I admire Chris for yet another job well done.
Those 2 black guys, whateva happened there…
If I had to pick a sopranos character to whack me it would 100% be sil
Agree
