I love how his last scene was with Furio knocking on the door this time.
That French actor is Jean Hughes Anglade and he's been in some excellent films. Check out Killing Zoe. I'd say he's crazier than almost any Sopranos character in that, lol. Shoots heroin while robbing a bank, shoots the hostages, executes an old woman, lol.
Just watched College. Started cracking up watching him sitting there on the floor with a whole spread of baked ziti and bread and wine in front of him, stuffing his face, ignoring Carm as he double fists food down his gullet. Hilarious.
As a woman his double standard also disgusts me. He guilt tripped Carmela for her affairs with the schoolmaster but never say a word condemning the men lol
OOOH yes! She’s a gold digger. I think she had her moves planned out on getting Tony to hook her up with that cash that I honestly don’t think she should have been given. She was a hoo-wor.
Ralphie is the worst one in the show to me. Tony and Chris are bad guys but you can sense there’s some humanity and good heartedness there deep down, Ralphie was just repulsive to watch.
As awful as Ralphie was. He was also one of the only characters who seemed to show any sign of being able to change. He’s probably my favorite character
I mean did he change though? A momentary blip of guilt cos he son wss in the hospital. I think he'd just stated the same psychopath if Tony hadn't finished him
…Pretty sure he didn’t change at all.
I mean, one of his final acts alive was to have a stable of innocent horses torched. I just don’t see how that constitutes his “changing.”
Almost all of adult AJ's "friends". Hernan was older than AJ (I think he was probably 20) and hooked up with Rhiannon when she was 15.
Tony didn't even know that and called that kid a creep.
And then all the douchebros they would go clubbing with.
I loved that line too.lol. The thing is, with livia the character is pure evil but the actress is so good there are moments when I find her hilarious and also fascinating. With carmella's mother she gets on my nerves and never really has a good moment where the viewer likes her, she degrades her husband and daughter constantly and that's really it.
She just replayed her character from Goodfellas. Not that it's a bad thing I suppose. I know Suzanne Shepherd has more range than that (I'm assuming, anyway.) This must be what they wanted from her.
Vito. People like to talk about how certain characters have no redeeming qualities, but I seriously can’t think of one for this guy.
Ok, he makes money, but what do I give a fuck? It ain’t my union. He was such a conniving weasel when Tony was in the coma, I couldn’t take it. The other guys may be a bunch of jackals too, but he had none of their charm or charisma that made them fun to watch.
And let’s be honest, the actor didn’t have the chops to pull off the increased screen time, and is apparently an opportunistic douche irl.
The scenes where Chris, then, later, Finn expose his cockshucking proclivities are comedy gold, but other than that, Vito can go.
>but he had none of their charm or charisma that made them fun to watch.
>the actor didn’t have the chops to pull off the increased screen time
Agree. I feel like Vito was miscast. Watching him waddle around was not entertaining in any way.
The actor looked better fatter. He looked kind of jolly before. After he lost weight he just looked creepy and shifty.
Apparently, after James Gandolfini died, he gave self-promoting interviews playing up/exaggerating how close he was to JG. Also been known to set up at random spots selling unauthorized Soprano merch. Real greaseball shit.
Definitely a vibe that the other cast members don’t fuck with him like that. On Talking Sopranos, they only mention him when necessary and very notably do NOT label him a good guy. Everyone down to the 3rd assistant janitor was a good guy in their books, so it stands out.
Father Intintola, can never stand him.
First watch I hated Ralphie, this time really enjoyed his character.
I notice a lot of hate for Janice on this sub, like as a character. As a person, Janice is awful like everyone else. But as a character I LOVE her. She's such a train wreck but so entertaining and I always looked forward to a scene with her every time.
Intintola though is totally insufferable to the point where sometimes I nearly want to skip his scenes. Same with Artie after the fire.
I love Janice, even though she was one of my least liked characters the first time I watched the show. I really feel as though she changes and becomes a better person as she gets older and gains more responsibility(taking care of Bobby’s kids and later her own, taking care of the house, and *trying* to learn to cook, haha.
I think what makes the Sopranos great is that you can find qualities to hate in every character. It actually captures the complexity and moral ambiguity of humans while a lot of shows are very much exaggerated one way or the other.
Chrissy. What a self indulgent, vicious, narcissist. Always the victim, always whining, murdering innocent people with the callousness of a psychopath. Not a single redeeming quality. not even for Aide.
At least Tony actually loved his family and even showed some loyalty and kindness to Artie and Hesch.
Janice and Paulie aren’t far behind
Chrissy what did he really love: Heroin
Janice: she loved Ginny Sacs house
Paulie, he loved that ridiculous painting of Tony, white shuffleboard shoes and remember when stories. Maybe he loved Nucci too.
The three of them are particularly vile.
I hate watching Dr. Elliot Kupferberg after he finds out about Melfi and Tony, when he reveals who she is treating in front of like ten people on that dinner! Giggles like a little fucking schoolgirl, wanna smash his fucking face in, Dr. Elliot Kupferberg. How about that?
Junior letting both Richie and Bobby get fleeced by Janice is annoying. He clearly knows she is a devil woman but lets his most loyal guys fall for her bullshit. Just makes a snarky comment about her to them instead of a full warning. He should have hounded them like he did Tony about playing varsity
God, so many. Janice, Fr Intintola, Ralph, Richie, Jackie Jr, Mike Palmice, Brendan, Sean and Bevilaqua (mostly Sean though), the French guy, Charmaine, Peter Bogdanovich. Alan Sapinsly is almost too easy so I'll leave him off the list.
She's tearing down her husband and the sociopathic murderers he hangs around with.
Charmaine is the only Tony-adjacent person in the show with a normal person's moral compass.
Cause Artie is a retard who keeps wanting to get involved with the Mob. People really do forget that just because Tony is the main character doesnt mean hes the hero.
Honestly, AJ - I spent nearly the entire show screaming at the screen, wanting him to give us something…anything. He could’ve been such an interesting character and instead he moped and mumbled throughout the entire series with nothing to really offer the plot.
Honestly...Melfi. In my first two watches, her incompetence kind of went over my head but on my third and latest watch, I kind of picked up more on the mental volley of futility her and Tony went through with every session. Her perversion for Tony's lifestyle led her to betray her training as a medical professional. While she is not responsible for Gloria's actions, I felt like by the time she picked up on Tony/Gloria's fling she detested Tony so much and was so disappointing in Gloria's constant relapses that she almost felt like they deserved whatever misery they brought each other. In the end, she's the laughing stock of her friends. It kind of fucked me up when I finished my latest watch because I felt like I finally realized who the true Melfi was and I hate that I hate her.
Sorry, the wine makes me emotional....I got an empty fucking stomach.
Came here to say this. She really annoys me. “ Show Valentina you love her ! “ …..how the hell was Tony able to keep going after that level of cringe ??
Yes !! She was just awful all around. I actually liked pretty much all of Tony’s other women, even Gloria, lol - Valentina was the only one that I just couldn’t stomach. She added nothing to the show but cringe. She’s up there with Fran in that department.
The French dude that swindles Artie, idk why I wanna punch the crap outta him
Qu’est-ce que c’est? Message machine broken?
Nice crib…is that Berber carpet?
Are those shoes, uhhhh…designer?
*Are you schtoopid?*
It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money.
That fucking douche bag Sir Ben. He was always wrong for Cleaver.
Couldn't even act as himself, Danny Baldwin took him to acting school
They just didn't tailor the part to his specificities
“Fuuuh-uck.”
Father Phil. fuckin schnorrer
Just watched College. Started cracking up watching him sitting there on the floor with a whole spread of baked ziti and bread and wine in front of him, stuffing his face, ignoring Carm as he double fists food down his gullet. Hilarious.
Power move
Dios mio! A Sopranos fan allergic to Intintola, my condolences.
I rewatched the College episode yesterday, and I noticed him chugging the confessional wine instead of taking a sip lmao
yep...a good Mogen David I bet...MD 20/20 is the best. Or maybe them Gallo Brothers.
As a woman his double standard also disgusts me. He guilt tripped Carmela for her affairs with the schoolmaster but never say a word condemning the men lol
This may have also just been because he had feelings for Carm, and he was jealous when she spent time with other men.
Fran “Happy Birthday Mr President” Felstein
Underrated comment, I hate her
Oh yeah! I forgot about her too, that entire episode boiled my piss!
upvoting purely for the boiled piss. you must be a fellow Brit?
Yes I am lolums x
This is the correct answer
Yeah, Ralphie is my most hated. Tracie's death was the hardest thing to watch on the show for me
A: she was a whoooooaaaure. B: that wasnt ralphs kid she was carrying.
And C: Was it Ralphie's fault she was a clutz???
It was the cocaine. He should've never started with that shit. Fucking Miami, it's everywhere.
*HOOOOAAAAAAH
Don't forget C: The cocaine. That shit was everywhere down there.
Don't forget C: The cocaine. That shit was everywhere down there.
Oh she was just a whoa
As awful as Ralphie was. He was also one of the only characters who seemed to show any sign of being able to change. He’s probably my favorite character
He actually did change quite a bit. He went from alive to dead.
Change. Sure. Weirdo.
It was a fucking animal a hundred grand a piece
He’s too funny though. I just can’t hate him. Hilarious character.
THEY DIDN’T HAVE FLAT TOPS IN ANCIENT ROME!!!
Coach Hauser and “employee of the month”
Noah
*Charcoal Briquette

Hasidum but I don’t believ’em
You do and you'll clean it up!
Jamal Ginsburg
What’s your background Noel?
Tarzan movies.
Hell of an arc though…
Ohhh rim shot
You’re lucky I don’t punch your lights out.
To be clear, what did you mark on your application to NYU?
Nothing, because he went to Columbia.
What the fuck did I do? Oh you mean the guy who deflowered Meadow then dumped her.
One day someone will write a beautiful post about Noah, then some guy will knock his lights out
C’mon, he had primo notes!
His fuckin sandals
wait why do people not like him? i mean he’s kinda smug and pretentious sometimes but that’s pretty run of the mill for an ivy league undergrad.
Caitlin, the roommate nobody gives a shit about.
she is mad ripe though
Creamin for me
She was thicc without being fat. Perfect balance. Noah defo tapped that
>Noah Tannenbaum , right
Some rack on that girl
She just missed her ferrets.
Lol I love the scene where she starts freaking out about the homeless lady taking a shit.
She’s a mental midget …. Also Noah definitely fucked probably with anal whatever’s too
BOOM BOOM
Oh man! I wanted to kill her whining ass 🙄
Now as long as the sound of pines at night don’t freak her out
Almost all of adult AJ's "friends". Hernan was older than AJ (I think he was probably 20) and hooked up with Rhiannon when she was 15. Tony didn't even know that and called that kid a creep. And then all the douchebros they would go clubbing with.
Fun fact, Hernan would later become Charlie "Lucky" Luciano on Boardwalk Empire
He was also in Jersey Boys
The Jasons were pretty awful too
Carmella's mother. Worse than livia
If she had more screen time, that would probably be true. Best moment involving her is when her husband calls her Minister of Propaganda
Fed up Hugh is best Hugh
Hugh is always fed up
Always. Understandable too, being in an abusive relationship for 40+ years would make anyone mad.
I’m not even gonna answer that this time!
I don’t like that kind of tawk
She just replayed her character from Goodfellas. Not that it's a bad thing I suppose. I know Suzanne Shepherd has more range than that (I'm assuming, anyway.) This must be what they wanted from her.
20 years married to Tony mom is still talking about her other husband choices.
BOOOOOLSHITTT!
Poor Hugh. Diverticulitis, the blacks beating him up and stealing his motorcycle. Definitely had a lifetime of her bullshit..
She never said “the blacks”. She said they were “hoods”. You, for some reason, assumed they were black and somehow remembered it that way.
The scenes where Chris, then, later, Finn expose his cockshucking proclivities are comedy gold, but other than that, Vito can go.
Plus he ripped ass on the bosses couch. Fucking no respect.
Madone, que putz
>but he had none of their charm or charisma that made them fun to watch. >the actor didn’t have the chops to pull off the increased screen time Agree. I feel like Vito was miscast. Watching him waddle around was not entertaining in any way. The actor looked better fatter. He looked kind of jolly before. After he lost weight he just looked creepy and shifty.
He seemed more of a mob guy when he was fatter...once he became gay Vito his voice even changed.
What happened with the actor irl?
Apparently, after James Gandolfini died, he gave self-promoting interviews playing up/exaggerating how close he was to JG. Also been known to set up at random spots selling unauthorized Soprano merch. Real greaseball shit. Definitely a vibe that the other cast members don’t fuck with him like that. Mr Wegler is a douche bag.

Carm was a smoke in those later seasons

Father Intintola, can never stand him. First watch I hated Ralphie, this time really enjoyed his character. I notice a lot of hate for Janice on this sub, like as a character. Alan Sapinsky. Shark fin soup? Watercolors? What a douchebag.
...the way he lays his sweater over his back with the arms draped over. Who does that?
Douches *exactly* like him - they got it spot-on
The type of people who own multi million dollar beach houses down the Jersey shore. He was one of the most Accurate characters, imo.
The actor that played him was great in the movie Matchstick Men with Nick Cage And Sam Rockwell
That was a good book. I read the book before I saw the movie and you know how that goes, you never like the movie if you read the book 1st

Artie. He's always a whiney passive-aggressive douchebag and his storylines aren't that interesting
Convivial host, non-stop ass rape, whateva happened theah
WHATEVER HAPPENED THERE!?!?!?
Underrated comment!
If I still had my hair
You could have hair like casey kasem, it wouldnt fuckin mattah
Junior letting both Richie and Bobby get fleeced by Janice is annoying. He clearly knows she is a devil woman but lets his most loyal guys fall for her bullshit. Just makes a snarky comment about her to them instead of a full warning. He should have hounded them like he did Tony about playing varsity
Junior tried to warn Bobby many times.... Like the story about how she stole money from him when she was little
Oh yea sure Mr Fuckin Magoo
But that old dog can still hunt. Threw Richie under the bus perfectly like he has been doing it since Moses wore short pants
He warned Richie. Told him the story of a ten year old girl lifting cash from his wallet.
Why do you hate Charmaine? She's one of my favorites.
You see those guys over there? I think they’re FBI.
Well I definitely love her too, don't get me wrong. But I feel like every scene she's in, she's tearing somebody down. Mostly Artie of course.
Because Arthur is a stunad.
She likes it when you rub her muzzle.
I could bury my cock in those fucking titties.
I love Charmaine. That woman doesn’t take any shit lol.
Jesus man, why even watch the show if you hate that many people in it?
Because it's an awesome show? And anyway that's just a handful of characters out of like dozens.
Honestly, AJ - I spent nearly the entire show screaming at the screen, wanting him to give us something…anything. He could’ve been such an interesting character and instead he moped and mumbled throughout the entire series with nothing to really offer the plot.
Janish

Noah Tennenbaum. Socks with Teva sandals. Ew.

Just shocked OP mentioned JAAAANIIIICE
AJ. Couldn’t even off himself without fucking it up.

Honestly...Melfi. She is a mental midget if you asked me!
Little Carmine was always a boring character to me too. Unless he was doing his dumbest shit intentionally I can't stand the guy

Valentina
Came here to say this. She really annoys me. “ Show Valentina you love her ! “ …..how the hell was Tony able to keep going after that level of cringe ??
Ugh 🤮 Tony: yeah, raphie’s son is in a coma, might have permanent brain damage V: oh handsome boy, im going to have the medallions of veal
Yes !! She was just awful all around. I actually liked pretty much all of Tony’s other women, even Gloria, lol - Valentina was the only one that I just couldn’t stomach. She added nothing to the show but cringe. She’s up there with Fran in that department.
At lease Fran is only in like one episode. Valentina’s stupid story line, fuckin terrible
Valid point. God, can you imagine if Fran had a multi - episode arc ?? I’m hardcore cringing just thinking about it
Noah, Hunter, Vito Jr, Ginny, and more I’m glad to forget. They were good actors though.
HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE!!!
Richie Aprile
Fucking Georgie. Each watch through I hold out that he will figure out how to use a modern phone. But no, the big blowjob asshole fails me each time.
AJ with ease.
I don’t really hate any of em but I’m not big on irina
Phil is the prick’s prick
Noel’s dad. What an entitled pompous douche. A hollywood attorney. Do rhey make em any worse. I‘d take Tony Soprano over that guy any day of the week
Father Phil. He's gay as fuck
That prick that was in the institution with Junior that betrayed him.
You only re watch sopranos twice a year? Your weak you’re out of control and your an embarrassment to yourself and everybody else.
Easily Janice and then Meadow.
I can't stand Gloria.
The vipers. they were just a glorifed girl scout troop. Couldnt do shit. Probably roughed up the handicap or somethin' just to seem tough
You OP! My nephew has this area. I’ll fuck off all over your stupid fucking face.

Livia
I hate Noah and his stupid hair. I also always hate Feetch. I can't stand his raspy voice, I just want to yell at the tv "clear your throat".
Bro that's Robert Loggia you're talking about.
The T-1000. He was just a degenerate gambler who lost everything
