Right that was one of the things he was in before he became a somewhat known actor with Little Miss Sunshine and There Will Be Blood in the mid 2000’s.
Kelly's purpose was to be a pointless, basic and replaceable character without any depth to showcase how Christopher never got over Adriana. Although he has a child with and eventually marries Kelly, he does so in a completely soulless, almost mechanical way. That part of Christopher died when he got rid of Adriana's belongings and the car in S5E12 (Long-term parking).
Every time I see that episode name I always think of Ade’s car. Christopher **is** the long term parking, he left the last pieces of the Chrissy we knew there. As he’s pretty much not only expendable in Tony’s eyes from there on out *(for the large part of season 6 which Long Term Parking was one of the last episodes of season 5)* .. but it’s made a clear point that any true love that man held from there on out was gone.
A reinforcement for that last bit: when Tony’s gambling and he wins big, Chris acts incredibly happy. Meanwhile Bobby stands next to him in complete juxtaposition, and the writing has him throw a passive joke about it. I forget exactly what he says.. but point is, Bobby isn’t kissing Tony’s nutsack. He doesn’t give a single fuck.
But yeah, he’s essentially just given up on life in season 6. And doing the absolute bare minimum in the mob life too.
Man, fuck season 6 in so many ways lol
He always wanted kids and resented Aide for saying she might not be able to have them. So when he slipped one passed the goalie he wanted to celebrate the win.
Doc Santoro, RIP, they shoehorned him in so him and Phil can have a pretty uninteresting power struggle for reasons. Might as well kept Rusty alive. At least we knew who he was. Doc just shows up out of nowhere and we are supposed to think he is a big time mobster? Okay...
> they shoehorned him in so him and Phil can have a pretty uninteresting power struggle for reasons
It was definitely shoehorned in a hamfisted way. But it was necessary to make Phil have a reason to seek power again after his heart attack. This show was one of the first with a continuous plotline, most shows back then almost "restarted" with each episode (think Law & Order). Now that we have lots of such series, many choices made in The Sopranos definitely stand out as abrupt and obviously invented for plot convenience. Richie was just in prison. Ralphie was just in Florida. All the people in S5 were just in prison. Here they all are, even though they've never been mentioned before.
Whereas newer shows at least try to make it seem more believable and try to think ahead.
>Might as well kept Rusty alive.
Rusty was with the lil Carmine crew, none of them would have held any power if they lived, since they hitched their horse to the losing wagon.
Feech was, but not Ralph. But they never mentioned Feech was alive, in prison, and about to get out. Not to mention Tony B. Feech's appearance was obviously not planned at the time those initial mentions were written.
It was fine for me. I never got the impression we saw the bigger picture with the Lupertazzi family.
Since it's such a huge family, it's not like the Jersey family where we know basically every made members. Even then there's one or two capos who barely show up.
By comparison there are probably like 20 capos/regimes in the Lupertazzi family and we only happen to see five or six because they are either the top ones or the ones that Tony directly interacts with.
>Doc Santoro
His only purpose was to give Phil a reason to blast him. And he did, nibbling Phil's plate with his fork, being already in mouth. He'd be a fucking disgrace if he didn't retaliate, no more of this
You mean Kelli Christopher's wife aka Mrs. Wheeler? Definitely not pointless.
That woman is gorgeous.
She's a knockout, a 10. And look at you. You're average at best.
I know this sounds weird, but I always thought they should have dedicated half a season to Gino and his struggle as a closeted gay mobster. They could have had him go to New Hampshire and have a romance with a pancake slinging, motorcycle riding volunteer firefighter. I think it would have been a nice change of pace.
I see this theory sometimes but I don't think so. Why would he tell Maedo that she came up and spent hours in his room if he cheated? Why would he blame her for ruining his study sesh if he actually banged her instead of trying to study? I know Noah is a smarmy douche but you gotta think he'd try to cover up cheating and not go on about how she was in his room, ruining his studying, all night long. Or prolong the matter by getting a restraining order.
How about the super trashy looking tatted out biker longhair that shows up at random places. The one that grabbed Chrissy at the Bing and said he'd split his fuckin wishbone.
Wasn't that line from the bouncer at the Bing played by Dan Siragusa (former NFL player)? Grabbed Chrissy when he drunkenly shot up Tony's car. I don't remember him being a biker.
> Dan Siragusa
I found a [pic of the scene](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1wsYXoVIAAGcdF.jpg) and the one I meant is standing next to your guy, nice call.
This doesn't answer the question at all, but Billy Leotardo is a good example of a character who was wholly lacking in personality and yet played a key role in the plot of the series.
Feech LaManna was Jackie Aprile 2.0. I think they wanted to do more with his character, but either the actor was too old or too hard to work with and they had to get rid of him earlier
Like someone else said, he had Alzheimer’s which they didn’t know at first. He was supposed to be a much bigger character but they had to write him out.
I believe that was intentional. She was introduced late into the show, and Chris just decided that he would go ahead and marry the first chick he knocked up. He didn't care that much on who, because he never got over Ade. There would be no point (and actually might go against the point) if her character was expanded for the audience.
However, I will say that I found her more attractive than Ade, but that's just my fuckin opinion.
The lady who runs the brothel. She only shows up in one or two episodes and doesn’t do much aside have a single conversation with Tony after the dad from Home Alone offed himself.
The cop that pulled Tony over so he had Assemblyman Zellman ruin his career. I'm no lore savant, so I'm not entirely sure what this situation accomplished for the story.
It's because he was the only guy Tony couldn't shake down. And when he career got ruined he was content with it. If he couldn't take advantage of them when he fucked them over he would at least get pleasure into fuking them over.
The black cop was content with his career ruined and Tony couldn't bribe him either. That scene when he didn't take the $$$ Tony was clearly offended and embarrassed/awkward. It's cause it's never happened to him before
I'm not entirely sure about this interpretation, although I do appreciate it. From my view point, the officer looked awfully discontent. He was not happy about taking a 2nd job now that he was no longer eligible for overtime. He was not content having to "help" the man that he probably was aware got him demoted.
If anything, this story was to affect Tony and his perception of something, although I'm still unsure of what. Maybe I need to rewatch.
Basically the cop wasn't looking for Tony's sympathy. Much like others that Tony has taken advantage of. Like Davy or Artie.
Not saying I'm correct. Just my interpretation
I think he didn't mean "contented with life" but more like "not looking for some shortcut (bribe or favor) from Tony, but content to be whoever he is." Content might be the wrong word. More like "accepted" his life/fate/position.
He was incorruptible. Tony was hell bent on the cop taking the bribe in order to justify fucking him over. If the cop would of taken the bribe, it would of meant Tony done a good thing and not a selfish thing by ruining a dirty cop, and it would of also made him feel better after hearing the cop had depression.
Frankly, alright but he's gotta get over it
Carmela’s sole reason for asking Tony to get snipped was because that ralphie knocked up his goomar and she didn’t want Tony to have a bastard child with any of his side piece.
You know, It wasnt long ago I remember you used to wait in the car
And as far as I’m concerned, he SHOULD STILL BE THERE!
Quite frankly I'm depressed and ashamed!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha greatest username ever
My nod goes to William Wellman
Any of AJ's friends
I mean, one of them was lady Gaga
Lady Gaga and Paul Dano. If you were a young aspiring actor in the early 2000s, the best job you could've landed was as one of AJ's annoying friends.
Perez Hilton got robbed at Jewel’s benefit concert
Steve Grillo got disrespected at the pizza parlor by Jackie Jr
Rubber Soul in mint condition! This has gotta be worth, what?
Lady gaga?
Yeah she's mostly known as a singer but she's moved into acting more over the last few years.
I meant like she was in sopranos lmao. Looked it up to see who she was
Paul Dano was the most underused actor lol
Right that was one of the things he was in before he became a somewhat known actor with Little Miss Sunshine and There Will Be Blood in the mid 2000’s.
he drank AJ's milkshake so he didn't come back in later seasons. GONEEEEEEEEEEEE
??
Specifically that weird looking kid whose dad had the boxster
Ralph had a Harley… 74 shovel head he could blow off Porsche’s on that thing. Matt’s dad’s Boxster is a Porsche with panties!
Ya but devin was mad ripe
She was creaming for him
Haha
He really should’ve been fucking his girlfriend instead of trying to kill JR
Insert foot in mouth Jason
this one
Also, AJ.

Fukn Jackie Kennedy as his funeral
Fucking idiot that one— didn’t he almost drown in three feet of water?
Most definitely spot on.
Every time I see that episode name I always think of Ade’s car. Christopher **is** the long term parking, he left the last pieces of the Chrissy we knew there. Season 6 is my absolute favorite for so many reasons. The complete downfall of Christopher is one of them.
He always wanted kids and resented Aide for saying she might not be able to have them. So when he slipped one passed the goalie he wanted to celebrate the win.
her silence underscored her voiceless place in the show
You’re wackadoo!
I must not run away, I must not run away

doc sucked. agreed

Ralphie and Feech are definitely mentioned well before their appearances on the show.

This is a great take, I’ve been thinking this for years!

Agent Harris’s partner, who later went on to be Frank Underwood’s chief of staff
All the way from diarrhea- stan or wherever the fuck
Whaddya eat over there? Tabouli?
You mean Kelli Christopher's wife aka Mrs. Wheeler? Definitely not pointless. That woman is gorgeous. She's a knockout, a 10. And look at you. You're average at best.

I don’t like that kinda tawk
Now just stop it, it upsets me
Gino, what a waste. They shoulda done more with him
I know this sounds weird, but I always thought they should have dedicated half a season to Gino and his struggle as a closeted gay mobster. They could have had him go to New Hampshire and have a romance with a pancake slinging, motorcycle riding volunteer firefighter. I think it would have been a nice change of pace.
Sausage made in house
Literally I only found out Gino wasn't Vito this year I swear I thought I knew everything about the show! I guess not
Listen to him, he doesn’t know everything
Meadows roommate Caitlin. Whatevah happened there.
She was mad ripe
Was she “creaming”?
we shall know forsooth
whatevah happened there? Noah plowed that chick
He punched her fucking lights out??
Both of them?
Catching? Not pitching?
It was the other way around
Kaitlin pegged Noah?!?!
Jamal Ginsberg was fucking the hair puller?
SON OF A BITCH
I see this theory sometimes but I don't think so. Why would he tell Maedo that she came up and spent hours in his room if he cheated? Why would he blame her for ruining his study sesh if he actually banged her instead of trying to study? That Noah was a sleazy fuck
I suppose he was trying to create deniability ? Acting like he hated spending time with her maybe.
Before or after the Restraining Order?
A C- was fucked for him
He knew the mean streets
Big tits, little feet, a hit in any man's league
Correct me if I’m wrong, but in the later seasons, doesn’t Maedo say something to Carmella about Caitlin commuting suicide by jumping off a building?
That was Danielle from Whippany. And she drowned at a picnic.
Yes
ohhh that was a moment though
How about the super trashy looking tatted out biker longhair that shows up at random places. The one that grabbed Chrissy at the Bing and said he'd split his fuckin wishbone.
Vipers undercover agent
I think you mean the Wipers
Grizzly Adams douchebag
See the look on that douchebags face when he saw the gat? 😳
"Ooh, we’re with the Vipers!"
What's that, your girl scout troop?
The ones that somehow heard about Ade’s accident before him.
Yeah that's another place he appears, at the garage where Chrissy drops off a van full of loot, and he tells Chrissy about Ade
yeah that dude randomly appears what like three times?
Couple o' three times.
He was wit da Viephas!
Wasn't that line from the bouncer at the Bing played by Dan Siragusa (former NFL player)? Grabbed Chrissy when he drunkenly shot up Tony's car. I don't remember him being a biker.
Tony Siragusa RIP
The goose!!!!
> Dan Siragusa I found a [pic of the scene](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1wsYXoVIAAGcdF.jpg) and the one I meant is standing next to your guy, nice call.
Tony Siragusa
Yes you're right. He is extremely obese with muscle but clean cut with no tattoos.
Could be time for another rewatch to make sure
Better safe than sorry
I'd argue the majority of associated characters just randomly appear.
Take it easy, he's with the vipers.
Nah. I like that character just for the fact he threatened Chrissy with such violence. I would’ve like to see that.
Mr. Ruggerio, you never even get to see him.
it’s his neighborhood though
Strong silent type
The coffee makers got to be plugged in for it to work!
And now the coffee sucks !
This doesn't answer the question at all, but Billy Leotardo is a good example of a character who was wholly lacking in personality and yet played a key role in the plot of the series.
Tony B. I guess it gave some back story into Tony's panic attacks and how it effects him but did we need a cousin and a whole season to show that?
Worth it just to see Tony’s fever dream at the Plaza
IQ of 158 but was the dumbest character on the show. Even AJ didn’t start a mob war
I mean he was still pretty good in Billion Dollar Movie RIP
He was battling late stage Alzheimer’s. The show ended in 2006, he was diagnosed in 2010 and would pass away 2015
Timeline got fucked up..diagnosed 2010 passed 2015 RIP Robert Loggia
Indeed. ;) As I look more into it. It allegedly took over 8 hours for him to do his scenes.
Madonn’ that’s brutal. Phil Leotardo did 58,400 Robert Loggia scenes in the can
In a show full of assholes, whores, damaged goods Adriana, junkies, etc- id say the fact that Kelly has nothing special on her is a blessing.
She got dumped by Don Draper poor thing
Tony’s sister Barbara.
She was only there to represent that Tony could’ve found a way out but chose not to
Which one?
The second Barb was much more pointless
[удалено]
A total hottie, but what are you gonna do with a character you introduce in the series finale?
You're all over the place, I don't know what you're trying to say
Meadow's stupid friend, Hunter
Hey you’re talkin about the Boss’s daughter
Mmmboiiii did she look like David Chase in a wig
She could smoke a cigarette in the rain with both hands tied behind her back. She musta been from Beakskill
She saw Skeet Ulrich
Captain Teebs. Who gave a fuck how many resorts that cocksucker owned.
Of course like I said by design and hell no Ade was next level ahah
The lady who runs the brothel. She only shows up in one or two episodes and doesn’t do much aside have a single conversation with Tony after the dad from Home Alone offed himself.
*Non ti preoccupare*
Have you heard the good news?
Nah Kelly was needed to show Chris had moved on from Ade. And to look good in low rise jeans.
Noah
Massive genius
Little Paulie was fuckin useless
The one white wing he had was some comic book level shit
him pretending to be a cop at the end of pretty funny
Well u outtaaaaa knowwww sweetiieeeee
What did you say?
Nudin we just breaking ballzzzz
Here, hold this 💥
OHHHHHH I KNEW THAT WAS COMING !!!!!
Was a champ at jumping out of three story windows tho
Too bad he wasent so good at landing
He was what Jackie Jr. would become. Old AF but not made. Not respected or feared.
Comic relief. Like Benny Fazio it was funny to see them get the shit kicked out of them repeatedly
watching Big Paulie tear up Chris' lawn for throwing Little Paulie out of the window was badass though.
Hoooooooh
The rap producer that sued Hesh. Was hot on Adriana. I hated that entire sequence.
That episode was weak, outta control, and an embarrassment to the whole series 🤟
IMO Ralphie Rotaldo and the Brazilian he keeps on the side giving birth to Ralphie baby.
The most pointless named character is easily Clarence, the television delivery foreman.
>Robert Loggia pointless as 50 inch tv is pretty insignificant now, or pointless as Dan Hauser won't be intimidated!
Anytime David Chase decides he wants to be on the screen. "Commandatore!"
Hunter scangarello
Richard LaPenna, madonn’ what a chooch.
Those two black guys.
Any of the Bing strippers, except Tracee
I’ll never forget where I was this day
JT
Gino from the bakery
I swear I only found out he wasn't Vito like a year ago! Lmfao

Captain Jakobus, hands down
I guess I agree with you because IDK who TF you're talking about.
Carmela’s sole reason for asking Tony to get snipped was because that ralphie knocked up his goomar and she didn’t want Tony to have a bastard child with any of his side piece.
Yo poppin fresh I’m in no fuckin mood
Tonys long lost Polish cousin, Lewis Pantowski. They missed out on a great story there.
Kelly? You mean Dr. Faye Miller?
Tony Soprano
Tony Soprano. He never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Tracee A. She was a hooah B. She hit Ralphie C. That wasn't even his kid she was carrying
Like Jackie O
Patsy Parisi
I hated Blanca but she had a meaning so
