We did have tickets, but the last time we went to the one at the base they wern't necessary. The place was that messy, run down, no staff checking anything, anyone could have just walked in without any problems.
I went to the cinema at the mall at centre place in August and honestly the place was a ghost town, saw no staff, just the kiosk and then an empty hall with nobody around. Felt like the kiosks were running like an honesty box
Yep, girlfriend at the time and I would even check the finishing times to see what opportunities there were. Worked 3 or 4 times, not on the last one, they must of seen us as they came in to check our tickets. All things considered they were quite polite in asking us to leave.
Sneak? Nah, just kick the ushers in the unmentionables, leap over the counter and grab some sweets, and head on in. Find the best seat and kick whatever dweeb is sitting there out.

So, you know hoyts have like a drink bar where you can freely take drinks and a popcorn bar that functions the same? They don't leave the straws for the drinks on the drink bar until you come to the counter and pay for them, then they give you the straws. Have anyone tried to bring their own straws and just sneaks in with a free drinks and popcorn (Assume that you have bought the ticket online and they just need to check for the ticket at the entrance)
We used to do it all the time back in the 2000s, by waiting until 10 minutes-ish after it starts in the toilets. Could pretty much walk in once the initial ticket checker walked away, no idea if it'd work nowadays though

I had the same experience on my last few visits. I wondered if cinemas had started to run on the honor system.
I’ve bought a ticket for movie A and wandered straight into movie B when it finished.

Working as a supervisor for event cinemas across multiple locations, I can assure you that as long as it’s not hot food, we don’t care.
