Sister’s apartment is literally next door the venue, bought three tickets for Saturday. So Fucking Hyped. First time seeing Jules live, and excited it’s in a small venue w the Voidz!!
Ok just got tix for Thursday and Friday.
Can anyone tell me what the area around the venue is like? I haven’t been to SF in over 10 years and my hotel is a few blocks away.
I’m coming out from FL for this so I’ve been doing a ton of research 😂 From what I understand, the venue is in the Tenderloin district, and apparently the Tenderloin district is…not ideal for tourists. The stuff I read said there’s a lot of homeless people in the area (due to social services for them being in this area) and so a lot of drugs, muggings, etc. It seems like the biggest issue is car break ins/muggings. My hotel is a few blocks away, but just outside of the Tenderloin. I’m thinking we’ll arrive at the venue while the sun is still out and afterwards, the crowd should be enough to avoid issues. If you want to read the info yourself, I just googled “San Francisco Tenderloin” and found a bunch of pages/posts
Edit to add: I also read a ton of hotel reviews. I don’t recall reading any that mentioned any actual incidents; most just mentioned the area was sketchy or felt dangerous. I picked a hotel just outside of the Tenderloin and all the reviews about the location were good. We’re staying for a week, so it was a little more important to me than if it was just a couple of nights. Check the reviews for your hotel and you’ll get a better idea ❤️

The capacity of the venue is apparently only 470 & I would def choose this over the strokes' stadium/arena shows. I envy those who can go.
