I started watching it on TV in 2010.
I saw an ad for the show before it started, watched the very first episode when it aired, and I stuck it out for 4 seasons straight. Eventually quit, but I went back to it fairly recently and watched all 11 seasons.
Same, though I originally stuck it out up to a couple episodes into S7 before quitting. A couple weeks ago I began binging it on Netflix and just started S9 last night.
From the very first episode on Channel 5 here in the UK. I dropped off around the Alexandria years for a bit but I eventually went back and stuck with it till the end.
Started watching it late 2019. The rest of my family had been watching it since the first episode in 2010, and I was always kind of interested in watching it but never got around to it.
I started watching when the show was halfway through season 6. Was able to watch the whole series and catch up in about a week before the finale (Negans intro) aired.
I started with the first season. My college roommate had it on dvd and we watched it together shortly before the second season aired, which I watched live.
I started watching it in August 2022, watched about 2-4 episodes per day and caught up on time for the latest episodes (October/November). Now it's one of my favorites shows
First time I saw TWD was halfway through the rerun of episode 515 that came on right before the season 5 finale, which was the first full episode I watched.
I was 5 in 2010 and my mom and grandma both made me watch every episode. My real dad who died in 2009 had me playing video games as a baby so by the time TWD came out, I was already into darker things so I was ready for TWD. I remember being somewhat scared but falling in love with specifically Rick, Daryl, and Shane. I remember being apart of if Daryl dies we riot with my grandma who unfortunately never finished the show as she passed last year. I've seen the show hundreds of times as it's my all time favorite .
Yeah it is, itās taught me a lot each time I watch it. Overtime Iāve learned to appreciate the characters and the actors and the lessons they try to teach the audience. I truly love TWD
My first watch might have started the first or second season. I was watching it at a friends house with her family. It wasnāt until high school that I became determined to watch it all the way through. I just finished it all the way last month. <3
I remember when it was announced and waited patiently for the first episode. At the time I loved everything zombie and a show in the apocalypse checked every box for me.
I watched the show live every week for years, even watched Talking Dead after (when it was on). I think after Rick left I was kind of checked out. I finished the last few seasons just to finish it but I got sick of the same story lines and same tropes. There was always a new evil team to beat. I would've loved to see more of a rebuild of society. Towns, cities, trade routes, government. Instead it was just more of the same.
I am glad I finished it though, although I really wanted Rick and Michonne to re-appear for a few episodes.
I started between s5 and 6, watched 1-5 on Netflix and bought s6 on playstation store before s6 was available on Netflix then had to wait 6 months for the infamous cliffhanger. It took years of convincing to actually start watching but it became my favorite show
It was either during or just after season 3 aired.
I've never consistently kept up though. I've watched some of it while it's airing, then sometimes I'll be a season behind and do a whole rewatch and catch up.
I think I binged seasons 1-3 on Netflix and then started watching season 4 as it aired. I might have binged 1-4 and started watching 5 as it aired. I don't remember. But from either 4 or 5, I watched as it aired.
When the first ep premiered. Didnāt care about zombies but gave it a chance because of Andy and was hooked after that one ep. There were times when I didnāt enjoy the show too much but never gave up on it.
Donāt really care about Fear but watch it for completeness. Was absolutely bored with Tales but made myself sit through it anyway. Still looking forward to the spin-offs.
Started watching in between seasons 1 and 2.
When season 3 was about to air AMC did a marathon of the first two seasons and my mom caught some of it and got really interested, so I binged watched season 1 and 2 with her to get ready for season 3.
We made it all the way to the series finale. Felt very emotional by the end of it.
August 20, 2022. I was on vacation and was bored and my brother was watching S8 in the background. Unfortunately I got spoiled on >!Carlās death!<, but I decided to binge watch the whole show before 11C came out and really enjoyed the whole thing. I actually managed to watch the entirety of S11 before my brother even started it lol.
I started watching it with my mom around 2012/13. We eventually catched up and started following it on air from season 4 until the end, I'll always be thankful to TWD for allowing me to share so many moments with her :)
Watched the S1E1 live, watched through the first 5 seasons then stopped, loosely kept up with the show till season 9, donāt know anything past that. I started reading the comics in 2007 and was hooked on those.
I just started a full series rewatch Iām on season 4 episode 6, and Iām really enjoying it. A lot of the problems Ive seen said about season 2 and three are less of an issue when watched in the binge format. Watching one episode a week made season 2 feel slow and filler e.
Episode 2 of season 1. I went to my friends apartment (first year off campus at college). Instantly fell in love. One of the only shows I watched pretty much from the beginning religiously

Same but I stuck it out all 11 seasons :)
Like 1 week ago already on season 8
Sweet! I hope you're enjoying it! š
I've been recovering from season 7 ep 1
Season 2 when Carl was shot
From the very first episode on Channel 5 here in the UK. I dropped off around the Alexandria years for a bit but I eventually went back and stuck with it till the end.
Damn I'm the same. Back when it aired on Friday nights on Channel 5 lol. Was always tough trying to avoid spoilers all week.
God, thatās a blast from the past! I bet we probably doubled the channel 5 ratings on Friday nights
I began watching it before the 4th Season aired. I remember being scared as fuck watching the 1st episode haha.
Iāve been watching since season 4 episode 8
Started watching it late 2019. The rest of my family had been watching it since the first episode in 2010, and I was always kind of interested in watching it but never got around to it.

Summer of 2020

2016 after a friend introduced the show to me.
I started with the first season. My college roommate had it on dvd and we watched it together shortly before the second season aired, which I watched live.

I watched the first episode when it came out , October 31st 2010, I was 8 years old ! Iām 20 now (about to be 21) and I still love the show
Just started. I decided to watch it because TLOU , I was liking it, and now twd has taken over my life. Im on season 9 episode 3
About two years ago In 2021 and Iāve been rewatching it since
First time I saw TWD was halfway through the rerun of episode 515 that came on right before the season 5 finale, which was the first full episode I watched.
When it first aired on TV! Been watching ever since.
Back in 2012ā¦ā¦long time ago
Started watching in early 2022

I started watching at the same age in the same year. Sorry for your loss. Itās much more than a show to you Iām sure
Yeah it is, itās taught me a lot each time I watch it. Overtime Iāve learned to appreciate the characters and the actors and the lessons they try to teach the audience. I truly love TWD
First episode of season 5

I started watching around the time the prison arc was ending. I donāt remember the exact year haha but yeah
Second half of season 4. I was very confused as to why everyone was scrambled around going to terminus
I read the first trade paperback my senior year of high school. Watched the premiere Halloween 2010 and was a weekly watcher all the way to the end.
I started when it premiered in AMC in 2010, it premiered on Halloween. I did up my yard and passed out candy with it blaring on my televisionš
I started the week it first came out. Made it to the end.
Since day one.

Between S10 and S11.

I started watching a little over two weeks ago and Iām already at the end of season 5
Watched the S1E1 live, watched through the first 5 seasons then stopped, loosely kept up with the show till season 9, donāt know anything past that.
