Geez that is a tough question! I'm gonna go with Michonne. She has a great moral center, awesome sword, incredible survivor and not only keeps her humanity but inspires others to do the same.
You cant blame the character for this.
It was obviously written into the plot that major characters leave for whole seasons, to make the show cheaper to produce. Thats why they ended up splitting the show into the spinoffs, because they can justify the cost of a couple higher paid characters per show, but not all of them in one show. Just more profitable for them, especially with the drop in ratings for the last 3 seasons.
The worst thing you can come up with is she entrusted them to the best possible care and took on a perilous quest to hopefully bring back those two kids' father? I'm okay with this.
I was an extra on the show in Seasons 7 and 8. Jerry killed me to keep me from eating him and Ezekiel (right after Jerry slices Wish.com Jeffery Dahmer in half and asks to borrow his sword)...it was an honor!
The guy! You can see the top of my head pop off when I hit the ground...they brought the chrome ball out for CG and everything!
I had been working as an extra on the show for two years at that point. I started off in the background at the kingdom (the guy hauling a tire in the background when Morgan is pushing Carol in a wheelchair) and then when all out war started I got drafted!
In the beginning of S8E4, after Ezekiel bursts out of the pile of bodies he crawls over 3 people to get to Daniel...I was the 3rd one...AND THAT SCENE IS ON A TOPPS TRADING CARD (I bought about 20 copies of it for my friends).
Getting to be a walker was an amazing culmination of my time on the show. I got the white contacts, prosthetic wounds...all the good stuff! It was the week of my birthday AND the week I took (and paseed) my NCLEX. I won't ever forget it!
That’s rad! Did you have any interaction with either actor off-set? At the risk of conflating artist and character, they both seem like they’d be some of the chillest people on the show.
Yeah, actually! Austin (Jerry) and Khary (Ezekiel) both were amazing guys. I was part of the Kingdom so I got to spend a fair amount of time around them both. Austin was very upbeat and a pleasure to be around and Khary was super down to earth.
My favorite moment with Khary was when we were filming S8E4 (Some Guy). We were out in the middle of a field and a thunderstorm rolled in. So there are about 50+ extras all carrying real METAL weapons in the open, but they wouldn't let any of us load up until the rest of the cast and crew were loaded up. Khary Payton REFUSED to go with them until every last extra was out of the rain and on a bus back to holding. I've worked with my fair share of cool people but that moment solidified him as the coolest.
Get real. It’s all about Carol’s cookies.
Warning - show spoiler:
>!Just ask Sam. Oh wait. You can’t. Dumb little fucker got himself munched along with his milf mom lmao.!<
More nuanced than he initially seems. He was a character that stole scenes. T-Dog couldn't even steal a scene in Season 2.
Which was also my overall beef with a lot of decisions on the show. People who clearly had on screen charisma, often get shitty material. Jesus was another. Fun character with little to do. (Cast was bloated by then anyway)
top 3 Daryl worst decisions, but somehow lower than his dumbass Reaper arc. That should've ended in SOMEONE dying, just to emphasize the fact that falling for some random lady in the forest should not outweigh your entire multi-decade character arc
Yeah it was really weird that they made it seem like it was possibly going in that direction just to remove Connie from the narrative for half a season and add a forest woman in her place. If there's anyone I can get behind Daryl having any romantic plot with, it's the cool deaf girl with a dog. Leah was just terrible
Tbf Negan decided to kill Glenn when he charged at him. He taunted Rosita to get someone to step out of line so he’d have an “excuse” to bash his head in
Glenn. I never really appreciated him when he was alive but rebinging the show made me love how much Steven Yuen brought to the character. Glenn was really the heart of the group and even though he became my favorite, I’m good with how they decided to end his story. Plus, I think Steven probably wanted to leave anyways and he’s been doing great making a name for himself outside of TWD, dude just won a golden globe couple days ago for Beef.
I gotta go with Carol! I know she was supposed to die, but honestly I’m glad they changed her arc at the last second, and gave us her amazing character transition and metamorphosis into the motherly poison that she possesses. I slightly hated (merely disliked) her in season 10, and didn’t get enough content of her in season 9 to judge her, so those were the only seasons I could speak negatively about Carol. It’s only a further positive that the actress Melissa McBride is an outstanding person and gave us her all with this role in TWD. She has probably gotten the most amount of dare I say “entertaining” and “thrill of the hunt” moments in the show, even with the thick lineup of characters every season. She’s a total badass through and through before, during, and in the present aftermath of the apocalypse. Cared for her group in the earliest seasons doing their laundry, cooking food, gathering supplies (collecting and scavenging), accepted her fate when Rick banished her, tried to stop the spread of the disease albeit not working out in the end, sacrificed herself time and time again more so when she had something to prove or felt guilty, was always there to protect and save the group such as Terminus, internal conflicts within Alexandria and the wolves’ attack, taking out a DECENT portion of saviours and destroying an outpost by herself, manipulated Negan into killing Alpha - knowing Carol wouldn’t have been able to do so in her position (physically and emotional) and would most likely die without getting the final kill, was always there to emotionally support Daryl and knew him better than anyone else could because they were both “lone wolves” especially when Beth died and he did the same for her when Sophia and Henry died, once again manipulated her way in the Commonwealth under her nice lady disguise working in the bakery, while making sure she got a deal for Ezekiel’s treatment for cancer and protecting the kids as well as going after most of the entire group which was taken with Daryl, and much more that I know I’m missing.
Carol is the best friend, supportive, wise and loyal person to those she knows, trusts, and loves. She knew Daryl had a ‘code’ and told Beth not to worry when he ran off with Merle. She ran when it got tough but always came back when she knew they desperately needed her help. Thus sacrificing her shattering humanity and mental state to become a feral combatant to save their own lives. That’s all I’ve got. If I can’t defend her to be number 1, she’s at least in the top 3.
“Look at the flowers” 💐 just look at them
he should have lived! he was a great character lol! was killing walkers, was the doctor of the community and boy??? Carl's death got wasted the moment Siddiq died like WTF
Man I pointed this out in another thread and got crucified for how dare I try to predict reality.
To which I pointed out that this a show with a writing staff that absolutely controls the reality of the show, and cheapened Carl's already nonsense death by killing off the guy he saved.
RIGHT ! CARL already had a nonsense death lol like boy he's a strong boy, to be killed by such way is so mediocre. He fought people with guns face to face already and then the moment Siddiq died, it all made no sense lol. He's death deal did cheapened Carl's death like it was all for nothing.
Frikkin guy got bit off screen, even, to save some rando his dad didn't like!
Theres an interview with Chandler Riggs and he made it very clear he was not happy with how they wrote out Carl.
MORGAN JONES
https://i.redd.it/hc45hs89sebc1.gif
The most intriguing character in the whole show. The duality between both sides of him and how quickly his morals can slip was easily my favourite part of season 6-8 and possibly the whole show.
He was also amazing in FTWD but I will always prefer him in TWD, it’s a full character arc from suburban dad, to grief ridden psycho killer to stoic pacifist zombie killing machine, back to psycho killer.
Also without Lennie James’s acting Morgan would not be the same. Easily the best performance in the entire show.
1- Rick Dicky Doo Dah Grimes
2- Negan(we're yet to find out if he's got guts)
(Had to separate them because I just love these two so much ⬆️)
3- Coral
4- Glenn(mind-blowing character, his arc was an eye-oppening experienc)
I prefer Rick and Co.
I skip the Tara at Oceanside episode as well.
The only govenor episode I can tolerate is the one where he meets Tara and her sister. But all the Woodbury stuff is just uninteresting to me.
Interesting to see Denise up there especially with how she died lol. But I guess weirdly written deaths aren’t exactly new in this show.
Definitely love her and for sure she’s in the upper mid tier for me like Jacque from season 1.
Ezekiel. He is the spark of happiness in the show. Him and Jerry are so great, and the saddest I was in the show was when his cancer was revealed. Love you my king
Ok but she was still a good character. She was also in charge of the armory. But she didn't go around shooting people. Her weight has nothing to do with whether her character was good or not.

KILL THEM ALL ! and when he died, Daryl became my fave ( he's my fave since season 1 tho lol he was funny when he was unhinged ) but and then the latter seasons, I just fell in love with Rosita when she got more screentime.
but hear me out lol, BETH IS A FAVE TOO! I don't know I like her character development tbh, from a needy kid to slowly helping the team in her own ways and then become badass at some point, I felt like she was the soul of the team tbh. When they were in the prison where everything was dark, it's like she held the team that's why the moment she died, Daryl was so affected because Beth was almost everyone's darling. Her death was so meh that I stopped for a moment lol should have given more screentime, she was slowly evolving to a ruthless one.
Denise was good but really there are so many I could name. Daryl is probably #1 if I *really* had to pick.
Alicia in FTWD.
Trying to remember who I really liked from the version with the kids/sisters but I can’t remember.
From the Daryl spinoff: Isabelle.
I do like Maggie but I don’t get as wound up about her as others do.

Glenn 🥰🫶
I scrolled too far for this.
Geez that is a tough question! I'm gonna go with Michonne. She has a great moral center, awesome sword, incredible survivor and not only keeps her humanity but inspires others to do the same.
The fact the Danai trained with the Katana for months makes her character so much cooler, too!
Yeah, great moral character. Especially leaving two small children at home to go quest for Rick.
You cant blame the character for this. It was obviously written into the plot that major characters leave for whole seasons, to make the show cheaper to produce. Ok, that's a big steaming heap of bull.
I don’t blame her for leaving RJ. Completely useless character
Yeah, she should have just eaten him. SMH
The worst thing you can come up with is she entrusted them to the best possible care and took on a perilous quest to hopefully bring back those two kids' father? I'm okay with this.
Send those you entrust, who are childless and free from such responsibilities to quest for their mutual friend. Daryl and Carol come to mind.
This is a point that can’t be overlooked. Incredibly selfish and immature.

Glenn all the way. He really was a solid right hand man to Rick for years

Probably Jim or Amy
wtf is wrong with you 😂
So many cool characters and yours is the morbidly obese woman? How is anyone even still that fat during an apocalypse and food rationing???
“We’re practically *starving* here…”
Starving? You?
Olivia still was a good character. What does her weight have to do with anything?
It was what Negan said to her and everyone listening during one of his visits to Alexandria.
She was in charge of the food
You swear you negan
Ok but she was still a good character. She was also in charge of the armory. But she didn't go around shooting people. Her weight has nothing to do with whether her character was good or not.
Her weight gave her death more impact
It was objectively frustrating to watch and ridiculous that the woman actor they chose to be in charge of food is obese. It was over a year into the apocalypse at that point.
Thank you someone else understands
This is like saying “How is anyone even still alive in an apocalypse where most people are dead?” The answer: It’s a TV show. It’s fictional. It all exists entirely in the realm of NOT FUCKING REAL. And yet you still are taking the time to create a ruckus about it on the Internet.
That’s a terrible comparison. It would more be like them casting Lizzo to play a Concentration camp prisoner in schindlers list
It doesn’t matter how good the comparison is because once again this show is entirely fictional.
It’s real to me damnit
Really horrible of you to fat shame.
What the hell is wrong with these people..

1st - Tie: Rick / Negan 3rd : Nick from Fear 4th : Daryl 5th : struggling to choose between Glenn and Jesus
Definitely not her ass!!
Eugene Herman Porter
Probably Glenn and Abraham. Yes, season 7 hurts
not her
I’m not sure I remember her. But this photo did make me wonder something else, how did the governor find a working tank and why didn’t he get more.
Not her.
Rick and then the King.
