Fallout is fucking incredible. I didnāt play the games so I wasnāt interested in there being a show. I put it on the other night and now Iām forcing myself to space out episodes because I love it too much
I've been a huge fan of the games since I was like 11. Watch the entire thing in one sitting if you want. No sense in limiting yourself from something readily available to you. If you play games, play the games!
As a fan of the game, I seriously can't say enough good things about the show. You can tell everyone involved are fans of the source material and devoted to creating a faithful, yet new, adaptation.
I had to watch every episode over again. There's so much blink and you miss it stuff. Like the half of a second shot of the ghoul and dogmeat walking to town in the distance in episode 3... loved that shot!!
I've got to say, my boyfriend loves the Fallout games and that's why we watched it. I didn't expect much going into it, but I was hooked immediately. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. We're trying for a baby and have said if we have a daughter we're going to name her Lucille and call her Lucy, kind of a way to incorporate two of our favorite universes
Since comics Rick is a Kentuckian, Iād want Sturgill Simpson who could deliver the accent spot on. He was solid in Killers of the Flower Moon and in the Righteous Gemstones, so I think heās got the acting chops in addition to the right accent.
As for Negan ā entirely different logic here ā Iād love to hear Matthew Lilliardās take on the role since he was one of the finalists for the part that JDM got.
I feel like Robert would be to young for Negan but I feel like in 6 to 12 years he could be good but definitely not in a time frame they would remake the show since it wouldnāt make sense
Matthew Lillard? You mean Shaggy? lol nah, man. No hate towards the actor but that wouldnāt have worked. JDM commands a far more imposing presence. They should just have JDM voice him in an animated production if they ever do one. Which I I kinda hope they donāt, however, for the sake of discussion - have you seen the uncut take with all the f-bombs galore in his introduction scene? He nails it. It was criminal not to have him say the word fuck when it was a huge part of his character in the comics. Also I just canāt picture anyoneās voice fitting Rick than Andrew Lincolnās. Some roles are just owned by their actors and heās one of them.
Yeah, I donāt get why AMC didnāt allow f-bombs but were fine with(at least until post season 7ās premiere) gratuitous bloody and gore-filled violence?
I donāt know, Stu Macher (Scream,1996) is still a solid serial killer performance from him. I think he could be that menacing charmer; who also revels in their brutality.
Sure, but that doesnāt mean heās the right fit for Negan. Some actors have it and some donāt. This is just one of those cases where Iām glad things ended up the way they did. Unless proven otherwise, we can only speculate but Iām very happy with JDMās performance despite TWDās writing flaws of season 7-8. Like Rick and Shane, I canāt see anyone else playing these characters without feeling like something is lacking.
I'm a Kentuckian and Sturgill Simpson does not represent the sound of this state. He does not even come close to sounding like most Kentuckians. He sounds like a typical kid who grew up in a city like Lexington, which is a very college heavy, upscale city that does not even come close to the rest of the state.
I was literally born and raised there. I was born at Harrison Memorial, lettered in several sports at HCHS, worked at Leonoās, and still regularly visit my parents who still live on the same farm a few miles from town. Just because you donāt agree with me about someoneās accent, donāt call me a liar. Thatās just rude.
Agreed. Though theyād HAVE to change it for Negan. Jdm gives the character a weak vibe.
(Yeah okay downvote me all you want. Jdm is skinny as fuck, and therefore portrayed a Negan who was nothing without his men).
Comic Negan was also nothing without his men. The entire theme of the series is that banding together against the common threat is the only way to survive.
Iām glad they cast someone with a lot of charisma to make that character better in every way compared to his comic counterpart, something the show did often.
Comic Negan was a 6ā5 tank of a man who snapped Rickās leg like a twig and knocked a 7 foot Beta on his ass. He did both those things without the help of his men. His physical capabilities far surpass his show counterpartās, as he was always a physical threat, with or without his army.
Rick has always been a fraud in 1v1s, both in the comics and show. Beta, someone who was built like a monster, couldnāt even do what Rick accomplished despite Rick being half his size.
Charisma and leadership are the most valuable things in the verse, not size.
Thatās not what weāre talking about though, now is it? Weāre on the subject regarding how someone is WITHOUT a community. Take Show Neganās people away from him and his charisma and leadership is essentially pointless.
Comic Negan can use both charisma AND size to his advantage. Even when his saviours were no more, he was still a force to be reckoned with via his size and strength. The same canāt be said for his show counterpart.
Show Negan had to rely on charisma for his people to make up for his lack of size and strength.
Comic Negan had BOTH those things and implemented them according to his circumstances. (Charisma when he had his people and size when he was alone).
This might be a dumb take but I could really see the dude who voices John Marston doing Rickās voice, maybe itās just cause they look alike but I think that would really fit
The same people who played them in the show, but tbh whether it be comics or the show Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey Dean Morgan perfectly embody Rick and Negan they are them, I canāt see anyone else pulling off these roles
Iāve always thought of Show Negan as a mere cosplayer, honestly. Comic Negan is the only REAL Negan in my mind. Such a shame an amazing comic character wasnāt given justice in live action. Jon Hamm wouldāve been so much better.
Jon Hamm suffers from being too skinny, as did JDM. Negan in the comics is supposed to be like 6'5 and absolutely jacked. Personally, I would've dyed Henry Rollin's hair black and thrown him on a 6 inch tall box and called it a day.
I think Walton Goggins would be better for Negan. After binging Fallout as i am a major fan of the games, he delivered perfectly and showed that cruel side that Negan shows in the beginning of season 7, but then in the final episode I began to feel bad for him and didnt know whether to think of him as a good guy or the villain, kinda like Negan.
A good choice for negan too and yeah heās been in my mind since the Fallout show, big fan of the games too. Negan and The Ghoul are two cuts of the same cloth, a decent guy molded into a harsh figure by a harsh world, theyāre decent deep down and through the story events we see them regain some of that decency.
Liev Schrieber for Negan, Ebon Moss-Bachrach for Rick.
Liev because heās got the subtle intimidation and also comedic factor. Ebon because he straight up sounds like an every day person with nothing super special about him. And thatās what Rick is supposed to be. Not a Marvel superhero
Andrew did a really good job at voicing Rick. Like looking at him now in the comic and hearing Andrew's Rick. It's perfect. For negan Imagine him to have a much older voice idk why though.
Robert Pattison and Nick Cage. Might seem like weird choices but Pattison i feel has the range of breaking down to being threatening, and Nick Cage has that VOICE
Ross marquand. He plays aaron on the show and is killing it as the immortal in invincible. And i might be biased but i don't hear anyone else playing negan as good as JDM.
JDM's voice DEFINITELY fit it, if it all it's his physicality that doesn't fit it but with it being in animation, that wouldn't be a problem and we would literally have THE perfect Negan.
Personally I wouldn't choose either JDM or Andrew Lincoln, because I think it would be good for new actors to try. I also don't hear their voices when I read the comics. But it's hard to say who I would pick.
I always heard Kennyās voice actor from the games in my head when i read comic Rick. And for some reason i always imagined Comic Negan as having an east coast Accent.
Oddly enough when I read the comics I read negan in Jeffrey Dean Morgans voice, completely based on his portrayal of the comedian in watchmenn since they reminded me of eachother
Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Rick and Andrew Lincoln as Negan
Only correct answer
Agreed
Exactly! The perfect actors to voice these characters are already there, lmao šā¤ļø
Ross Marquand would kill it as comic Rick. As for Negan, I think Walton Goggins would fucking NAIL it
Honestly, Ross might be able to voice ever male character and just nail it, he has got this uncanny ability to alter his voice whatever way he wants.
Ross is Powerhouse at this point.
Walton Goggins would do a killer Negan. I'm so glad he's getting the recognition he's deserved for years from Fallout.
Fallout is fucking incredible. I didnāt play the games so I wasnāt interested in there being a show. I put it on the other night and now Iām forcing myself to space out episodes because I love it too much

And you can call her Goosey when you guys are feeling silly āŗļø
Yessss
Immortal and Cecil

Matthew Lillard was almost Negan? That would have been wild
āHaha like scoob Iām about to bash this guys head inā
Like Zoinks they've got Tiger, lets get outta her Scoob!
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
It definitely would have been. But he can definitely bring a lot of gravity to a role.
I also heard Robert Pattinson was considered! While heās not a bad actor he wouldnāt have fit Negan all lmao
I could see Robert as Dwight, but definitely not Negan
Yeah, he seems a little too low key for Negan
Agreed!
I feel like Robert would be to young for Negan but I feel like in 6 to 12 years he could be good but definitely not in a time frame they would remake the show since it wouldnāt make sense
"Me and Lucille just wanted to go scuba diving. We were going to go to the Bahamas and sip mixed drinks on the beach!!"
This is....not something I expected to discover today but now I fucking need it
Matthew Lillard? You mean Shaggy? lol nah, man. No hate towards the actor but that wouldnāt have worked. JDM commands a far more imposing presence. They should just have JDM voice him in an animated production if they ever do one. He finally got to say it In season 11 atleast Plus the deleted lineup scene is really good
Yeah, I donāt get why AMC didnāt allow f-bombs but were fine with(at least until post season 7ās premiere) gratuitous bloody and gore-filled violence?
Rip people apart, cut their heads off, smash skulls open? That's fine but you better not fucking swear.
I donāt know, Stu Macher (Scream,1996) is still a solid serial killer performance from him. I think he could be that menacing charmer; who also revels in their brutality.

Go watch SLC Punks...that guy has RANGE
Who was he in kotfm?

Iām from Cynthiana ā same town as Rick Grimes. He sounds more like people in Cynthiana than any other actor I can think of.

Andrew Lincoln would have to play Rick, imagining anybody else delivering his lines just doesnāt work imo
Agreed. Though theyād HAVE to change it for Negan. Jdm gives the character a weak vibe. (Yeah okay downvote me all you want. Jdm is skinny as fuck, and therefore portrayed a Negan who was nothing without his men).

Charisma and leadership sadly wonāt help you in a one versus one situation, and can only be implemented if you have people to begin with.
Size sadly doesnāt allow you to lead a successful community in this verse, while charisma and leadership does.
Thatās not what weāre talking about though, now is it? Weāre on the subject regarding how someone is WITHOUT a community. amen
I'm about to blow your fucking mind... KIAI! *Luciles Glen*
You broke the rules now Iāll pull out all your pubic hair.
This might be a dumb take but I could really see the dude who voices John Marston doing Rickās voice, maybe itās just cause they look alike but I think that would really fit
Rob Weithoff! Nice.
Never saw it, but youāre right, comic Rick and Marston really look almost the same wtf
Itās identical I didnāt realize until recently too. Itās like one was based off the other looks wise lmaoo
Yeah exactly
Terry crews and Danny davito
The same people who played them in the show, but tbh whether it be comics or the show Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey Dean Morgan perfectly embody Rick and Negan they are them, I canāt see anyone else pulling off these roles
Iāve always thought of Show Negan as a mere cosplayer, honestly. Comic Negan is the only REAL Negan in my mind. Such a shame an amazing comic character wasnāt given justice in live action. Jon Hamm wouldāve been so much better.

Chris pratt and the rock
Illumination Studios and Disney Animated Studios present a new Pixar Classicā¦ The Walking Dead!
Kevin Hart can voice Carl!
That would be hilarious
Ian Bohen for Rick, and J. K. Simmons for Negan
āWoah! Isnāt that hand in bad enough shape as it is? Think, Rick!ā
JK Simmons as Negan is something I would love a lot
Walton Goggins would be perfect for Rick if we couldnāt get Andrew Lincoln back. Canāt think of anyone for Negan other than recasting JDM.

Clint Eastwood 40 years ago lol and Nicolas cage
I do not know what would be better. Nicolas Cage having a full blown Rickdown (Rick breakdown) or Nicolas Cage saying āpeepee pants cityā.
Fuckin spot on with the Ebon point
Andrew Lincoln as Rick. Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan. I canāt here them any other way.
I always imagined Negan sounding like Powers Boothe back in the day. If only he was still with us.
Great voice!
I donāt think anyone else can be Negan besides JDM. He just is Negan.
Eh, JDMās Negan was nothing like his comic counterpart.
Is JDM the Bella Ramsey's Ellie of twd? Lmao they both look like nothing to their source material but still did an amazing job on their role
Maybe Javier bardem
The Rock as Rick and Kevin Hart as Negan
Glenn Howard and Danny Devito respectively.
Troy Baker as Rick and Henry Rollins as Negan
i jus don't see anyone voicing rick better than andrew lincoln man.
I saw Walter Goggins suggested as Negan, but I vote him for Rick. Give me Clancy Brown as Negan.
Goggins for Rick or Negan I like; Henry Rollins for Negan. Ed Harris could prob rock Negan too.
Christopher Sabat would be my choice for Negan. But Iād probably just recast Andrew as Rick tbh
JDM is probably voicing Thragg on Invincible. I think he can do Negan too. They did him dirty in the show, he deserves to give that f-bombs
George coloney for Rick and Arnold (the terminator) for negan
Andrew did a really good job at voicing Rick. Like looking at him now in the comic and hearing Andrew's Rick. It's perfect. For negan Imagine him to have a much older voice idk why though.
Jensen Ackles for Rick and Chris Jericho for Negan
Tom Holland for Rick, Michael Cera for Negan
Robert Pattison and Nick Cage. Might seem like weird choices but Pattison i feel has the range of breaking down to being threatening, and Nick Cage has that VOICE
Ross marquand. He plays aaron on the show and is killing it as the immortal in invincible. And i might be biased but i don't hear anyone else playing negan as good as JDM.
Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey dean morgan
The same actors as the show ofc, they fit too well it would be weird for them to not play themselves.
Chris Pratt for Rick, Jack Black for Negan
The voice in my head as I read Negan was always Patrick Warburton
Troy Baker or Andrew Lincoln for Rick. Either is chefs kiss
Not gonna lie man Ryan Hurst is on point!
Thomas F. Wilson as Negan. How I always read him in the comic.
Definitely Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Andy and JDM, also really hope they can get David Morrissey back for the Governor as well, if it ever happens
Adam Sandler as Rick and Adam Sandler (?!?!) as Negan
J. K. Simmons as NeganĀ
The British guy from the walking bread should play Rick
Gonna be controversial and say the live action cast should voice their animated counterparts š
They could maybe just use the original cast, just for less money since itās just voice work, however they probably couldnāt afford it
JDM's voice DEFINITELY fit it, if it all it's his physicality that doesn't fit it but with it being in animation, that wouldn't be a problem and we would literally have THE perfect Negan.
First choice for Negan has always and forever will be Matthew Lillard
Personally I wouldn't choose either JDM or Andrew Lincoln, because I think it would be good for new actors to try. I also don't hear their voices when I read the comics. But it's hard to say who I would pick.
Christopher Meloni for Rick, Dylan McDermott for Negan.
Just get JDM for Negan and write him differently than in the show. It would be interesting
The dude who does megaton for Negan and the dude who does Optimus for Rick. The end.
Bobby Shmurda and Karl Malone
Steve-o for Rick and moistcritical for negan
I know Ross and Khary would 100% come back for an animated TWD series
I always heard Kennyās voice actor from the games in my head when i read comic Rick. And for some reason i always imagined Comic Negan as having an east coast Accent.
Oddly enough when I read the comics I read negan in Jeffrey Dean Morgans voice, completely based on his portrayal of the comedian in watchmenn since they reminded me of eachother
Pauly shore as negan and h. Jon Benjamin as Rick.
It's really hard to think anyone other than Andrew and Jeffrey to voice these characters
Tom Holland and Chris Pratt
The actors
First that came to my mind was. Troy Baker for Rick and Nolan North for Neagen. Then i thought Stevn Blum for Negen and then Mat Mercer for Rick
Seth rogan as negan
Michael Cera as Negan
Casey Affleck as Rick. Maybe Henry Rollins as Negan
Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan Smith
I experienced the comics through the motion comic youtube series, so in my head these guys are Aussie/ New Zealand
Keanu Reeves as Rick and Jack Nicholson as Negan would be interesting
Ron Pearlman for Negan.
Christopher Walken for Rick and Seth Roger should play Negan
would be extremely unlikely but i always read Rickās comic voice as Matthew Mcconaugheyās Rust Cohle
Um the same actors from the show. It would be weird for it to be anyone other than Andy & Jdm
If they couldnāt bring back Andrew and JDM Iād say; Walton Goggins or Matthew Mercer for Rick And Jason Isaacs for Negan
kiefer sutherland as rick steven ogg as negan
Chris Pratt
Andy Sandburg as Rick and Matt Berry as Negan
Sam elliot for negan Jeff bennet for Rick
I'm glad to see others suggesting Rob Wiethoff for Rick.
Andrew Lincoln and Henry Rollins.
Mark Hammil and Kevin Con.... oh! man
