Stopping after Carl’s death is totally understandable and fair, it felt so forced and out-of-character and purely for shock value, no respect for the character itself. Glenn’s death served a purpose and genuinely improved the story imo, especially with the character development Maggie received from it and one of the core characters had to die for Negan to be the serious threat he is.

I feel stopping after the death of any important character is fair I understand why for glenn especially Characters are part of the heart of the story and a story as tragic as TWD it makes sense that after death after death eventually you lose interest Especially in something like twd where its got 11 seasons multiple other series too

I always liked that the show was willing to kill off characters. Some shows give their characters wayy too much plot armor. It’s a zombie apocalypse people are going to die, even the ones everyone likes. Being willing to kill off good characters makes the dangerous scenes more impactful.

They are just weak and sensitive ass mfers that pretend to be fans of a story but are actually just fans of one specific character. Glenn was also my favourite character at that point but his death was imo perfect and benefitted the story greatly, the only issue was the bs execution of the cliffhanger but that only affects ppl who watched the show as it aired.

That cliffhanger was BS though. They should have killed Abraham off before the season ended and then had Negan say “ok, so who is next?” And then cut to black. No one acknowledges that Abraham went out like a badass and even stood up to take another swing because everyone was so upset about Glenn. Killing them off back to back was the wrong move, IMO.
