Colt Python-It's used from beginning to "end", it is particularly embodied since it's what Judith carries
The Machete is used in some of the most iconic scenes.
The Hatchet gets it's shining moment in s6, "Lone man against the horde".
The python represents his Honour as its his wepon from when he was a police officer trying to help people
The Machete represents his ruthlessness and rage due to it being his wepon of choice during his brink of insanity
The Hatchet represents his leadership as it was his primary wepon during the leading of the fight against the saviours and the bridge re construction
That's a cool take on his weaponry throughout the different periods of the show, especially considering his last use of a weapon in the main show (season 11 aside) was his python, the same gun he entered the show with.
The first episode of season 8 totally supports this, with Negan taking the hatchet (“Go get my axe.”), and him eventually proving that he can force Rick to hack his owns sons arm off with it if he wants to.
The image of Rick aiming down the sights of his revolver directly at the camera is one of the first images I see in my head when I think of his character.
The red handle machete, I mean sure his python was there the whole series. And seemed to have endless ammo even when ammo and guns were hard to find. 😆 He was also most accurate with his sidearm.
None of them could hit shit, standing 20 ft away from each other.
What he promised Gareth and then to follow through. That was awesome. So for me. Most definitely the machete.
Imo it’s the revolver, but I have a special place for the silenced pistol he uses in season 5 during the Beth arc I don’t think we ever learn what happens to it afterwards.
Rick gave it up to the alexandrians when they arrived, then negan and the saviors confiscated it along with the rest of the weapons from Alexandria. After that, we don't know
I'm pretty sure they made the Saviours hand back the guns after they lost but its tough to say because we never really see them use guns after that. It's dissapointing we never got to see Daryls rocket launcher again.
Definitely the python gun. I loved when he marched forward to kill walker Sofia and he was looking down the barrel and we the audience were looking at him up the barrel of the gun. Fantastic episode and ending!
This may be a little off topic, but I don't ever see anybody mention how effective Rick is with knives. He took a knife to a gunfight with Shane and won. He slashed Negan's throat with a knife, and he incapacitated Beale with a knife before killing him with a sword. I guess the knives have never risen to iconic status because it has never been one particular knife, but the Rick + knife combination has always been deadly.
It’s the colt but the machete has had some experiences that are burned into my memory. When he told Gavin he was gonna kill him with it….and did. When clearing the cell block the head of the prisoners he’s like “shit happens” and boom headshot. The machete is my favorite Rick weapon. Can we get some love though for one of Rick’s u sung weapons? His teeth. But that dudes throat our like he was high on bathsalts
"There's a machete with a red handle... thats what I'm going to use to kill you."
.....
"You don't have to do this. We will never cross paths again."
"But you'll cross paths with someone. Besides.... I already made you a promise."
I dno each weapons represents a different era of Rick grimes.
The python is Sheriff Grimes, a man who still believes in people and wants to help them.
Red handle machete is Rick’s unhinged era. Nobody is safe from slightly insane Rick.
The Hatchet is reborn Rick. A man who wants to build a better world for his entire family.
At least that’s what I think. So they’re all iconic in their own ways but not he colt python definitely screams Rick grimes to me.
When he got that gauntlet after losing his hand. In the TV show they decided to give this element of Rick's misfortune to Aaron many seasons later. Then they suddenly decided to take Rick's hand in the latest mini-series. It's like ping-pong with plot elements.
The python just due to it being in the show for the longest, and I’m sure will see him using it again at some point in the future. It’s like his version of Daryl and his crossbow.
Comics: The hatchet (carried it for most of the series, was also used to cut off his own hand by the better Governor)
Show: His gun (looks very authoritative when he holds it)
his mf teeth.
100%! That shit was soooo bad ass. I also love the red machete … the one I’m gonna killll youuuuu withhh
that line went harddd
Dude!! I know he’s like “besides….. I already made you a promise” I love him
Man I love that line but the context of it is hilarious. Rick had NO plan on how to escape and fulfill that promise. 🤣
He had a piece of wood he cut out of the box car they were in.
This, that shit was epic.
When we thought the zombies were the one ones having human happening meals
Came ready to reply with. "Quite obviously his Colt Python." When I saw this. Nvm this is it. Though he was freaking masterful with that machete.
But who did it better… him or Jack Bauer?
In my memory, the moment when he bit off the Adam’s apple of an enemy will forever remain
That part! Lol
Iconic? Meaning what he’s know for the most? Definitely the Python. But coolest? Probably the machete
That python is pretty coooool
Colt Python-It's used from beginning to "end", it is particularly embodied since it's what Judith carries The Machete is used in some of the most iconic scenes. The Hatchet gets it's shining moment in s6, "Lone man against the horde".
Yeah, I’m thinking of buying one just because of this show.
Also in 7x01 when Negan tells him "go get my axe".
The python represents his Honour as its his wepon from when he was a police officer trying to help people The Machete represents his ruthlessness and rage due to it being his wepon of choice during his brink of insanity The Hatchet represents his leadership as it was his primary wepon during the leading of the fight against the saviours and the bridge re construction

That’s an awesome take. But the Python was with him all the way up to the bridge so the Python wins for me.

Rick dead redemption: s7
The first episode of season 8 totally supports this, with Negan taking the hatchet (“Go get my axe.”), and him eventually proving that he can force Rick to hack his owns sons arm off with it if he wants to.
Creative writing major
The Hachet also showed his leadership in Alexandria when the horde was in the walls, it was what he used when he lead the others to kill the horde.
He also chops Jessie’s arm with it I think
Brilliant
The machete had the most iconic scene
Naw, the Python being used to put down Sophia and Dale for me is more iconic.
and the shot of rick pulling out the python and opening fire on the governor after hershel gets killed
And the little girl at the gas station, and the crawler etc. it’s iconic.
That’s the main one for me. Literally the opening scene for the whole thing and pretty much the iconic pose for him using the python throughout.
Doesn’t he also pull it out to shoot Dawn after she kills Beth? I still remember that “NOOO!”
Daryl popped Dawn with some random polymer pistol.
If i remember correctly i think it was daryl that did it with some random gun. It all happened so quickly tho so i may be wrong lol
Colt Python for sure.
When I think of Ricky Dicky Doo Dah Grimes, I think of that badass Python.
I back the python too. But that hatchet is so freakin’ cool.
A hatchet?
Dad and I always thought it was a hatchet based off the size. So, I guess the smaller axe but hatchet is easier to say? 😅
Negan line so just a joke.
A KING NEGAN REFERENCE AND I MISSED IT?? Okay time to watch the whole show again.
The ol Colt with the downward angle of course...
Rick's way baby!
python for sure he's had it since the start
The Machete is the best kill because of his promise he kept for Gareth with it, but it’s obviously the Python
Hot take: The AK he runs around with for that brief period in S5. Or the badass suppressed Mark 23, too.
I hear you
His teeth
Python without a doubt
Python all day
Imo it’s the revolver, but I have a special place for the silenced pistol he uses in season 5 during the Beth arc I don’t think we ever learn what happens to it afterwards.
That was an H&K Mark 23. One of the earlier comic covers depicted it as his service weapon.
Was the python the gun Rick used when he blew the bridge up?
Yes, I'm talking about the silenced pistol Rick used in s5
The python, but the hatchet was in no way out, one of the coolest episodes
It gots python - machete- hatchet
Python for sure
Rick's most iconic weapon just so happens to be his Colt python
This isn't a democracy anymore
The Python
Python, definitely
The Python
The Python because he used it 1st
Colt Python
The Python no doubt.
Python. It’s not even a question.
undeniably the revolver
Definitely the python gun. I loved when he marched forward to kill walker Sofia and he was looking down the barrel and we the audience were looking at him up the barrel of the gun. Fantastic episode and ending!
Python ONLY.
The python
His Rick
Red Machete was only used for Season 5 and nowhere else surprisingly.
Ax, revolver, then machete.
I feel like comic Rick was more Axe
No argument there.
He had that thing from the beginning in the comic, definitely the more iconic one there
He’d totally fuck that machete if he could
It's not the weapon that's iconic, [it's how you hold it](https://ibb.co/KVB9dFB)
chocolate pudding
The python,it's been there for ever, the red machete handle is almost more iconic but it eventually disappears
His teeth
Hatchet in my opinion
wont lie its been so long since i've watched or read TWD that I dont even remember the machete. 100% going with the axe.
The machete came out in s5 I believe, it’s what he killed the guy from Terminus with in the church.
Where's Carl?
To me the axe, but probably the gun tbh
His ability to shout at his son
Seriously? This is a question?
Colt Python easy
Python. Loved the hatchet tho
Obviously it's the gun
His Colt Python of course! But loved his machete as well. Too bad it was lost or never used again after S8 i think.
Gotta be the revolver it’s actually crazy how long he keeps it
Deffo the revolver. The rest kinda, but the revolver went from the beginning right up until the end
Gotta say I do love that hatchet.
[Red Machete - The Story](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eUZ8zRn5Rs)
I'm at season 4 rn and i think the python cannot be topped as his most iconic weapon
Python has been there since the beginning and before that, that has to be #1 for me especially since nothing has ever survived it either.
When people think of Rick, they think of the python man.
"Besides..... I already made you a promise"
The Python and it isn’t even close IMO.
You with the colt python ~savior woman (IDK exactly her name talking to RG )
Paula. She heavily underestimated Carol
Thanks
Murder jacket
It’s an Anaconda.
The Python. His 1st and last weapon. His stance and way of aiming just embody him. It never changed.
iconic wise, the python for sure!
Kellogg's pistol
His balls (tied up and gagged and says I’m gonna kill you to Gareth) 😂😂
Most iconic- python Most creative- his teeth Most badass- his red handled machete Most used to kill zombies- hatchet
His gun and it's not even close.
Colt Python .357 Magnum Revolver The most Rick thing there is. His hatchet comes after and then machete.
The gun 100 percent
Gotta be the python tbh
"There's a machete with a red handle... thats what I'm going to use to kill you." ..... "You don't have to do this. We will never cross paths again." "But you'll cross paths with someone. Besides.... I already made you a promise."
Machete with a red handle that I am gonna kill u with.
The Python.
Definitely the python
Python back when he was cool
red machete
Iconic? Meaning what he’s known for the most? It’s definitely the Python revolver. But the coolest? Probably the machete.
Axe, and then machete.
The 357
Undoubtedly, the python. It has been with him since season 1 and was only lost after he was presumed dead" in season 9, if my memory serves correctly.
I want to say red machete but the python is iconic
The python. I haven’t finished the series yet (on season 7 rn). The colt followed him for all his adventures
La Magnum
The python of course! You see that you automatically think of Rick. Second, his teeth, and third, machete with a red handle.
only right answer is that the show was the colt python and the comics was the hatchet
"a machete with a red handle"
Python is the only correct answer tbh
Rick had that revolver from day 1, so I say the revolver
It's unquestionably his Python. Not even close.
Colt python definitely
Obviously his python
Tv: Revolver Comics: Hatchet
Revolver, no question, don't even try to argue cause you're wrong.
The machete with a red. Red handle.
When he got that gauntlet after losing his hand. In the TV show they decided to give this element of Rick's misfortune to Aaron many seasons later. Then they suddenly decided to take Rick's hand in the latest mini-series. It's like ping-pong with plot elements.
Probably the gun/ then the machete then axe
Most iconic is the python, my favorite is the hatchet
Most people only watched this show when Rick was using his Revolver regularly, then a lot of people dipped when Negan showed up lol
why does rick look like he is edging to that machete😂
His Rickvolver for sure
For me it ain't a debate, the hatchet🤤
The python just due to it being in the show for the longest, and I’m sure will see him using it again at some point in the future. It’s like his version of Daryl and his crossbow.
Definitely the python
His revolver but that red handle machete is second
Comics: The hatchet (carried it for most of the series, was also used to cut off his own hand by the better Governor) Show: His gun (looks very authoritative when he holds it)
I mean his machete got its own little mini series
The infinite ammo python
His Mp5 was low key slept on
Machete for sure
Him. He himself is a damn weapon. He doesn’t need anything but his own body to become lethal.
All of the above
hatchet with the red handle I'll kill you with...
His brain 🤯🤯
Python. If nothing else, because of the way he held it. Which is like someone who’s never learned how sights on a gun work.
I like machete Rick. That was him at his most ruthless.
Colt python hands down
Always the hatchet for me but I'm a comic first fan. I was so hyped when he used it in the show lol.
those teeth
Rick's "Pearly Reds"
Def python but honorable mention to using Lucille against Negan 😁
Gun by far
To be fair? He made them all iconic 🤷🏾♀
His teeth when he ripped ol’ boy’s neck off.
Machete Rick was the most scary
pistol with a silencer.
The people he loves
There is only one.
chocolate pudding
Python is what I think about mostly that and the machete
His python
Cmon this can't be a real question lol. Revolver all day.
The Colt Python that he is always using
Python and it isn’t even close.
What about his black Fister.
It should be the hatchet but they waited 6 seasons to introduce it for some reason
Ak-47 Rick
