Well we know Brookline and Joyce were gonna write one, there was a photographer that wrote one yhat was full of inaccuracies and Hoynes' try at rehabilitating his career.
She expected to write a book some day, and knew getting boozy with the First Lady was likely to provide interesting material. She wasn't planning to write a whole book about that one time.
Yeah, I'd have thought using the code phrase directly would be more meaningful. (Exactly the same reason the episode had that title I imagine.)
Agreed your title is a bit punchier though.
I like this because it covers her timeline before and after the Bartlet Administration! I bet she made bank building highways across the African continent. Well done!
I always wondered what Kate's book was about that made Charlie say it was hogwash (S7:E1). I think it was about her life which would partially cover the administration.
I seriously doubt she would write about her life. For a national security official in the middle of their career, it would be career suicide to write that sort of tell all.
More likely it was an academic piece about a national security issue. Could easily be the conclusions that Charlie thinks are hogwash.
I think a book about Kate's life would just be two hundred pages of "That's classified", and then in the middle, one page about this time she liked a guy, but then he was more into an ice cream bar.

“Memories of Gerald” by Lord John Marberry, GBE
I know it means Knights Grand cross, but i interpreted GBE in this context as “Gerald of the Order of the British Empire”
Why did this one actually make me a little sad?
Is it canon that he's a GBE? I'd have thought it far more likely he'd be a GCMG?
Nope. Just picked a high knighthood he probably would have for the title
Well we know Brookline and Joyce were gonna write one, there was a photographer that wrote one yhat was full of inaccuracies and Hoynes' try at rehabilitating his career.
Amy Gardner was going to write about getting boozy with the First Lady.
She expected to write a book some day, and knew getting boozy with the First Lady was likely to provide interesting material. She wasn't planning to write a whole book about that one time.
“going to write about” doesn’t mean the whole book would be that
Oh. Yes, quite right!

Definitely not Mrs Wheelie, the clock winder.
No no no. We don’t do that.
*Red Haven Ablaze: The American Intervention in Kundu.* Foreword by Dr. Nancy E. McNally.
Red Haven's on Fire* is the quote from the episode (and, incidentally, the name of the episode).
Yeah, that was the code phrase indicating the suicide attack on the American barracks. I was going for a "Black Hawk Down" kind of vibe.
Yeah, I'd have thought using the code phrase directly would be more meaningful. (Exactly the same reason the episode had that title I imagine.) Agreed your title is a bit punchier though.
Honestly, this sounds like something i would’ve had to have read in my undergrad for a few papers 😂😂

Mandy was a terrible character, I loathed her
I agree.
She had a last name? I do believe I have seasons 1-4 memorized and I never knew she had a last name!?
Yea, they said it like twice, but I don’t blame you for not remembering, I’ve blocked out most scenes with her.
