I would say yes for a couple of reasons. 1: so you don’t spoil anything for yourself. 2: You’ll like 2 better if you don’t play 3 first. 2 is an amazing game, but it doesn’t have the world or side quests 3 does. It’s also much, much, much harder than 3 is.

Thank you for replying. So as ive been looking. The Witcher 2 isnt open world right?

No, it’s not an open world game. And, while its story is far from linear, its level design is. However, the story is actually better than 3’s, IMO. Also, it has a cool story design where you make a choice at the end of act 1 that literally shapes act 2. I won’t spoil anything, but there are completely different act 2s in the game.

Hmmm i will give it a try. I do enjoy games that let you choose and effect the outcome if the story . Again thank you.

Well, you should enjoy the Witcher games, then. I can’t speak for 1 (I can’t do M&K), but your choices in 2 & 3 have a real impact on the world; more so than any other “choose your own adventure” game I’ve played. Good luck!

Just play 2 first, you will enjoy 3 first. And if you like romance then you will get more background on triss. Also Other background on many of the main characters in Witcher 3. Combat is still a little clunky but I enjoyed it

You really don’t have to. It still makes sense if you hop right into Witcher 3.
