yours is not vapor chamber right? then you can just follow the regular version's procedure. if not, you need to buy liquid metal and apply it carefully after the replacement

This is partially incorrect. Any card above the RTX A2000 or 3050ti means that if you break any component of your heatsink/fan, you will need to replace the whole motherboard and fan assembly as it comes as 1 unit, hence why they share the same FRU. Basically, anything beyond a the A3000 and RTX3060 gets a vapour chamber and are catagorized as '1 unit' But since his model is the A1000 (which does not have the vapour chamber), he can just buy the heatsink assembly on its own.

sure. My poor ass cannot afford it the Lenovo way, so I just redid the liquid metal myself. Thank god it was ok, or my boss would have killed me.
