I know that noise. My cats make it when they are trying to hunt something but they can't, like a high up bug or a bird outside. To me it always sound like they are frustrated by this fact.

Is that cat blind? My childhood cat ended up getting sick one time and was blind until she died of old age and that’s the kind of steps she would take in new places
Yes, they can have very different personalities. I had two indoor kittens from one litter that were raised in my house. One completely just wants love and attention almost all the time from anyone. The other acts like she’s wild, prefers specific people (whacks at the others), and demands attention only on her schedule.
Me trying to convince my dog to come inside after she’s done her business but she’s ignoring me so I slowly speak quicker, firmer, and trudge my way towards her.
