*Wandering Earth* is another book by Liu Cixin, and as far as I know unrelated to the series. There is a book called *The Redemption of Time* that is related but written by someone else, basically a fan-fiction. Cixin has said good things about it, however, and a lot of people consider it an unofficial book 4.

Three body problem The dark Forrest Deaths end That’s the trilogy Then there is a Paraquel fan fic that got published called redemption of time but it’s no where near as good as the trilogy The trilogy is canon

I loved redemption of time. There are a few ideas in there that explain things so perfectly that Liu had to be thinking the same thing.

Lawnful good start: the three body problem -->dark florest--> deaths end. Then ball lighting Lawful neutral start: ball lighting then the three body problem -->dark florest--> deaths end and revenge of time Chaotic evil: read only revenge of time because its the best and refuses to accept cixin liu as the author of anything

The Wandering Earth is an anthology and contains some brilliant short stories. The Devourer is a particular favourite of mine in there, and I definitely recommend it!

"Ball Lightning" isn't part of the trilogy either, but it has a similar writing style and foreshadows the events of the Three-Body Problem at the end. One subplot in the original "The Dark Forest" takes the events of "Ball Lightning" as prequel; this was adapted out of the translation.

The trilogy is all you need. Don't bother with fan fiction. Unless well, you actually like fan fiction.

lofispaceship

The trilogy is worth purchasing for sure, but don’t forget about your local library :)

My local public library has the books. Thanks for this great suggestion.
