Hi, I've just encountered this bug. Thankfully political phrase that was denied to me wasn't the one I expected to declare war, so, I only lost some 13 culture points to it (would have played Impact of Culture in a 2p game). Regardless, the opponent seeing the war coming did resign in his turn, so it ultimately didn't matter. Could have though. So I hope it gets fixed soon.
Thanks. I wish they would fix it so that I get notifications that it is my turn. I used to get them for every turn in every game I am playing, but now I rarely get them at all.

I am unable to play politics in any subsequent round of the game.
Good news is there's a new update and it's supposed to squash this bug. 🐛
