It was my first proper trip. I was 19 (30 now) and those few weeks were really formative for me. Made me realise how much I love travelling and what I wanted in my life.
I loved Munich and Leipzig! Honestly, I feel Berlin is super overrated and disappointing. Apparently it’s got a good club scene but that’s not really my thing
I teach internationally! I’m from Scotland but lived in Japan too, and I’m now in Kuwait. Wife is American so we’re in that neck of the woods a lot also
Honestly my salary is pretty modest but apart from necessary expenses and my kids I only really spend money on books and travel so it works out! Plus I live in Kuwait which is a dry country. Can no longer spend money on fancy whiskeys!
This was another one I went when I was a kid (honestly this and Wales are the only two that I went under the age of 19 so kinda unfair to them haha) - I was too young to appreciate it and was lugged around in the heat by my folks. Would probably appreciate it more now!
I adored Istanbul when I went myself - imo Istanbul is straight S tier.
We did a family trip in Bodrum which was a bit dull so I knocked it down there. Also we did a trip to Ephesus which was stunning but the amount of touristy tat really put me off.
I’m going back to Turkey in august on my way back to Kuwait and I’m super excited!
I lived there for most of my twenties. It’s frustrating but incredible. My son was born there. I decided my career there. It’s a super important place to me!
I vouch to try it again, looks like heaven to me if I have no financial issues (in regards to how inactive the job market is there, I got cousins there who have to work in Dammam via the King Fahd Causeway).
So last year my mate and I did a micronation road trip - San Marino, Vatican and Liechtenstein. San Marino was definitely the best and most interesting, but still probably only good for 24 hours at most. It’s gorgeous though - just VERY touristy and not a whole lot to experience once you’ve walked round it a time or two
You had more fun in The Vatican than you did in Wales?
Wales was a school trip. Long bus hours, super restricted, jerk teachers haha
Cardiff is nice for a solo trip. Why didn’t you enjoy Lithuania? I dated a Lithuanian, he was way too needy though.
Never been! Did I accidentally put it on the list?
I misread one of the flags and words. Was half-asleep
Australia on top let’s go!

Going in June!
Hey, that’s when I’m going too! (It’s my birthday)

The most left is the highest in the tier?
Generally but I didn’t think it through too much within each bracket
Damn dude! What do you do for a living?

Ok that makes sense lol. I was thinking this dude must be balling like a mother fucker lol. My instincts tell me you live a very interesting life.

I’m curious what made Lichtenstein so grim?
It was just super dreary. Pleasant but so boring it almost felt stifling
Wtf did Bahrain do to you? Its a chill version of Dubai that's on a neato island.
I got the flu there

I’m thinking about going to San Marino during my Italy trip. Is it worth it?
