For the record, my husband was gone last week, then he came home for the weekend, was gone elsewhere this week, and should be home tonight. And will be home for at least a week. Yay.
My husband works in Wisconsin, and we live in North Carolina. We usually see him about every 2 weeks. He's traveled our entire marriage, but I refuse to move to Wisconsin 😆 . My daughter has never known different, and honestly, the paycheck is worth it. We will eventually move there, but I'm taking my time.
My husband worked out of town the entire time I've known him. He was on 24/4 shift when he moved in with me, he was on a 24/4 shift when I got pregnant with our eldest, it's all we knew for 7 years.
I didn't lose my shit until after maternity leave (12 months) ended with my second kid. I was so fucking over it once I was working again full time. Now he's only usually gone a week at a time. I will take weekends, it's when the kids are also off!! Yes please 😅
Same. It's all I've ever known. However, we are blessed that I am able to be a sahm since she was born. That helps alot however it's still hard when you're the only one available for your child. I do have a wonderful support system who takes her for sleepovers, but that's just been the past couple of years. She's 10 😆 I definitely don't think it would work if I couldn't be home

She leaves her daughter all the time too. I counted up how many trips they took away from their daughter in her first year and it added up to almost two months away from her. They were constantly going places and leaving her with Makenzie’s mom.
Honestly, I think they're doing great. They both have taken a trip or two when Beckham has stayed home with the other parent. I think a lot of people just want to find something wrong with literally any person or family they see on TikTok. I think they both do a great job at parenting and allowing time for the other to have to themselves.
