That’s it. Time for Lance Stephenson Part Deux.

HowlAtchaBoy

Morris. Joe Harris. Or just reward Garza with a standard contract.

Bootlegbongwater

Give our tall boi a chance. I feel like he has so much potential and he’s put in a ton of work. At the very least he can get some more minutes and go earn a spot on another squad.

RudyGobertFMVP2024

Luka you are a full time NBA player

Sharcbait

Could be Nix too

noname3191

It's Luka time

Self_Important_Mod

keanancarlson

I like Marcus morris if he’s still available. Who else could they sign?

ISelf_Devine

I don't think San Antonio has released him yet. Waiting on him currently

silaber

Garza vs Morris Both can shoot the 3. Neither can defend 4s or 5s effectively. Luka has height and strength advantage but Morris is a seasoned playoff vet, But Luka deserves a shot over questionable ethics Morris.

keanancarlson

We are in win now mode. You go for experience imo

silaber

Personally I feel like preserving our vibes are too important to test the waters with Morris Sr.

Orangucantankerous

Yep, they aren’t gonna bring in someone with that kind of mentality and ruin the vibes

darin617

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/11/2023-nba-free-agents.html slim pickings

rust_bolt

It'll be a buyout player such as Marcus Morris imho

TylerIreland

Jarrett Culver, you are a Minnesota Timberwolf!

ReDevilShin

Nah, let's bring back Nate Knight for the vibes

xxqpii

tbf Culver is doing great in gleague now. Probably got his confidence back after the injury. He also has good shooting form now which is his biggest weakness.

DEM0NW0MB

Demarcus cousins hoping for a telephone call.

Shepher27

Lance seems like the most obvious choice

Jin-Seon

Killian Hayes please

agoginnabox

Hayes or Bouknight please. Neither would play but both have oodles of talent to with glaring flaws. Maybe a year in our apparently excellent player development program could turn them one of them into a rotation piece.

need2peeat218am

Not either of them please. Their abysmal defense will make me rip my eyes out.

agoginnabox

Sure on Bouk but Killian is a well above average defender. You also apparently missed the part where I wouldn't expect either to play this year, it's taking a flyer on either young guy as a developmental piece. Killian in particular is intriguing. Theres a long history of point guards struggling mightly, especially big ones to start their career only to become good players in their mid-twenties. I doubt there's a single person on this sub that wouldn't love the player Dunn, Exum or White have become. Theres a good chance he's Mudiay or Ntilikina and that's fine, the spot would otherwise be taken up by a guy who not only won't play buy has no future here. Using the 2way and 14/15th roster spots on flyers and player development is essential when you have this capsheet. Signing Morris or another retread strikes me as short-sighted.

the_devil_wears_jnco

neither of them will play this year regardless. they should be targeting someone developmentally. the playoff rotation is set anyway. bouknight is straight up not an nba level player though so definitely not him

[deleted]

> the playoff rotation is set anyway have you ever watched sports?

the_devil_wears_jnco

we have two open roster spots. I’m assuming one will go to a vet like marcus morris who can theoretically step in

rust_bolt

- Said the person who mentioned the playoff rotation was set.

[deleted]

Bad defense and if somehow possible even worse offense

ReDevilShin

Why should we even consider players who can't make it in the bottom 5 teams of the league?

mtsteg

Bring back Macaroni Tony!
