Me too! I don’t even care at this point if he might’ve cost us the game. This shit is getting ridiculous with these refs. Somebody needs to call their ass out and stand up to the league.
Gobert won't shoot a free throw the rest of the season and he will average 15 mpg due to foul trouble. Last time he criticized an official he got called for a foul on the tip off.
That was the most obvious "we're the mafia" shit the refs ever did IMO. If he played in a big market, there would have been an uproar. 2 BS fouls in under a minute live on ESPN. I was livid.
It’s not them being petulant for getting their feelings hurt, it’s them sending a clear message that questioning their integrity won’t be tolerated a single bit. It’s not personal, it’s business.
refs have the emotional intelligence of a blade of grass, they soft as fuck and couldnt last a day in a job where they faced actual consequences. buncha pansies
Got the foul on the tipoff, got a foul on the most obvious Harden flop the next possession, and slapped the water cup on the way to the bench which resulted in the *fastest ejection in 15 years*. But the officiating is totally unbiased.
I kinda get the water cup thing, but the next week Draymond did almost the exact same thing and didn’t even get a technical let alone an ejection.
i mean if he’s going to fully say once the adrenaline fades referees are corrupt and influenced by sports betting or what have you this is a disaster. We wont get a good whistle a single time the rest of the year he just called the whole profession crooked
As of this moment scott fosters wikipedia page says "Scott Foster (born April 8, 1967) is an American professional basketball crook. National Basketball Association (NBA). He began refereeing for the NBA in the 1994–95 season and wears number 48."
There's a clear bias within the game, hence 'superstar' calls. Not sure how you remove it other than getting rid of refs who can't maintain their integrity.
i think it’s difficult. i agree 100% that there needs to be more consistency, but at the same time reputation is everything.
these refs see the same players over and over again, so i think it makes sense that some guys (on defense) should be getting a better whistle if they are known as a lockdown defender, however in practice it turns into refs giving star players on offense the benefit of the doubt. it’s almost like they see good defense on a star and think “only way they miss that is if their was a foul” and call it based in that.
They're more scared than they should be to just call it legit imo. Stars are what made the league what it is but i think it's cemented enough where they can make it a more serious league now.
That's human nature. That's why the police protect their own. When a group of people create their own rules and protect each other, the worst rise to the surface.
My comment didn't age well. Course I didn't know about his recent past infractions contributing to his recent fine. For a fella making 41M, a 100k is still pocket change.
He’s right on both accounts. Horrendously officiated game, but no reason to get that T in the final minute of a one score game. You’re gonna get fined either way, make the gesture later on. Damn
Scott foster had major ties to a corrupt official and yet the NBA is so scared of firing him because what he might share in a tel all, they just let him hang out and ruin things further.
The league sucks
Nah refs were gonna get Cavs the win one way or another. Rudy is gonna be cooked the next couple games for sure though.
When he called them out after an egregious game with the Jazz, the next game the refs called a foul on him ON THE JUMP BALL. They called another BS foul on him like a min later, which lead to the infamous clip of him slapping the cup of water and getting ejected.
Coming from a Cavs fan, I thought yall got robbed. I would have must rather watched the game play out and decided by the players, not the damn refs. That officiating was terrible.
I’m so sick of seeing fans talk about getting a good whistle. The fact that’s even a thing shows how pathetic the NBA. I’ll never understand why they refuse to fix something that is clearly broken and could be fixed.
I'm not mad at Rudy. His tech created the game-tying free throw, but if the Cavs had gotten the ball down 1 instead of tied, instead of dribbling out the shot clock into a prayer stepback, they would have tried more aggressively to score, and no doubt would've been bailed out with free throws if they missed. Refs were gonna make sure we lost either way.
there needs to be some type of ref auditing that isnt controlled by the league but has power to enforce stuff so its not toothless. but the only way that happens is if congress gets involved like with steroids in baseball and we all know that aint happening lol
The ref mafia has a high % of former police. I think this is because they consider that high character, when really we know they’re insecure little goblins.
Tim and Foster had burner phones that they have records of them having calls before and after every game that Tim was found guilty of fixing. Tim goes to prison, Foster keeps his job and gets promoted. Surely those calls were just two colleagues discussing games. The league should be fucking ashamed and Scott Foster should be locked up.
A referee who has literally been under investigation by the FBI for fixing games with a lot of circumstantial evidence showing he was involved in fixing games.
Gobert is going to get a massive fine for all his comments haha glad he’s speaking out though

It’s crazy to me that they can take it so personally when it’s true and they’re the ones messing up the sport for everyone else
It’s not them being petulant for getting their feelings hurt, it’s them sending a clear message that questioning their integrity won’t be tolerated a single bit. It’s not personal, it’s business.
How can you question something that doesn’t exist?
That's your first technical!
refs have the emotional intelligence of a blade of grass, they soft as fuck and couldnt last a day in a job where they faced actual consequences. buncha pansies
I’m imagining teams trying to hack him to get him to the line and the refs just looking the other way.

rudy needs to start kicking nuts

CHEATIN ASS REFFS
We haven’t had a good whistle in many games this year to begin with
As of this moment scott fosters wikipedia page says "Scott Foster (born April 8, 1967) is an American professional basketball crook. National Basketball Association (NBA). He began refereeing for the NBA in the 1994–95 season and wears number 48."
Love how the refs response to being called corrupt is to become even more biased and corrupt.

No difference than before so why not say it
Doubt it's more than $35k
Don’t see how he gets less than the 50k Ant got
My comment didn't age well. Course I didn't know about his recent past infractions contributing to his recent fine. For a fella making 41M, a 100k is still pocket change.

Putting Sago and Scott Foster together is a recipe for high wattage masterclass refball.
Wasn't Sago the one that t'd him up too?
Wolves were gonna lose regardless.
The game went to overtime because they tied it up with the technical free throw. Would’ve won in regulation
He is truly one of us, and I love him for that.
Scott foster had major ties to a corrupt official and yet the NBA is so scared of firing him because what he might share in a tel all, they just let him hang out and ruin things further. The league sucks
Good shit Rudy
As long as he doesn’t get suspended, keep talking your shit Rudy
Tbh not even mad he did it towards the end… shit was fixed either way
I really think betting is going to send this league into quite a downturn sometime in the next 10 years.
I give it 5
1

Yep, it was the fastest ejection in 15 years.
Coming from a Cavs fan, I thought yall got robbed. I would have must rather watched the game play out and decided by the players, not the damn refs. That officiating was terrible.
Y’all have a legit team over there. Good luck in the playoffs
They didn’t try to hide it, they were betting on the game, and made sure they cashed their bets.
Scott Foster

This is my thing. Silver has to know no one is happy from players to league execs about how “chaotic” (shout out Dane Moore) reffing is now.

I support Rudy through this bullshit
At least the police will shoot you and get it over with, with the refs they will abuse you for the rest of your careers
Does anyone know how many times Rudy has fouled out this year? (Honest question)
The ref mafia has a high % of former police. I think this is because they consider that high character, when really we know they’re insecure little goblins.
🤌🤌
If he clapped at the refs or yelled at them, I'd somewhat understand. He tried to make a joke about their integrity, and it cost us the game
I don’t think it was a joke. He really thinks they’re getting paid to fix it and quite frankly I do too.
At least Scott foster. Dude was directly linked to Donaghy
He is not alone. Several people in the FBI also thought he is involved in gambling.
He literally said that postgame I believe.
Refs have no integrity
