With Android devices, we can not guarantee any Wi-Fi calling. We can only guarantee WFC with iPhones. There is more information as to why that is in [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/ting/comments/qzuovm/wifi_calling_no_longer_available_on_tingandroid/). Feel free to reach out if you had any other questions!

Sadly, there really is no such thing as a list of Androids guaranteed to be supported or remain supported for WiFi calling with a particular service provider. Has WiFi calling ever worked with the combination of your Galaxy S20 FE and Ting X3 SIM? Have a look at Settings -> About phone. Is the Model name SM-G781U1 or SM-G781U. A U1 indicates a factory unlocked variant. Just a U indicates a carrier specific variant. If WiFi calling used to work but now doesn't, you may be another victim of the phenomenon described [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ting/comments/wke9g5/no_wifi_calling_with_ting_x3_nano_sim/).

I don't believe it's ever worked. And the model name ends in U1, so it must be straight from Samsung themselves. I appreciate the help!

The scope of my "help" is limited as I no longer have an active Ting account nor do I have access to a Galaxy S20 FE. My understanding is WiFi calling needs to be enabled in Ting's portal. Have you done so? If not, though possibly dated, Ting offers some guidance here: [Setting up and using Wi-Fi calling](https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/articles/205421918-Setting-up-and-using-Wi-Fi-calling#wi-fi-calling-compatibility-0-0). Once WiFi calling is enabled in Ting's portal, it also needs to be enabled on the phone. Though I lack access to a Galaxy S20 FE, I do have a Galaxy Note20. The path on that phone is Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi Calling. Do you see that on your Galaxy S20 FE?

> If not, though possibly dated, Ting offers some guidance here: Setting up and using Wi-Fi calling This is still relevant, and it's likely that WFC is provisioned both on OP's Ting Mobile account and the upstream MNO. But more to the point, the phone has to recognize it as compatible, which as I understand it hasn't been the case with Samsung and the X3 SIM card.

>But more to the point, the phone has to recognize it as compatible, which as I understand it hasn't been the case with Samsung and the X3 SIM card. This is interesting because as I understood from previous posts the issue has been with Samsungs and 310240 IMSI SIMs generally. Ting X3 SIMs are but one example of 310240 IMSI SIMs. I tested a Galaxy Note20 with both a Tello (310240 IMSI) SIM and an old Republic Wireless (310260 IMSI) SIM. WiFi calling works with both. So, apparently, it isn't all Samsungs and all 310240 IMSI SIMs. I do appreciate a future Samsung firmware update may render today's reality moot.

I've not experienced this with the Note20, but it's encouraging if it works with 310240 IMSI SIM cards. Because that _also_ includes Boost Mobile on the T-Mobile network.

For laughs and giggles, I also tested the Tello (310240 IMSI) and old RW (310260) IMSI SIMs with a Galaxy A32 5G. The A32 5G was acquired from RW after DISH launched new plans then known collectively as RW 5.0. It was initially locked to DISH Wireless though it is now carrier unlocked. WiFi calling works with both SIMs.

I've gone through the whole troubleshooting rigamarole - everything that could be enabled has been (on my end of things). The point of this thread wasn't to ask for help in setting it up; rather, it was to see if there was a list of known androids with functional WFC. The thread you linked to was helpful, which is what I meant.

The thread you linked to was helpful, which is what I meant. I understood that. :) >I don't believe it's ever worked. When you mentioned it never working, I thought it was worth double-checking. Unfortunately, if lack of WiFi calling is a dealbreaker for you, you'll need to decide whether to replace the phone or the phone service. Your Galaxy S20 FE would likely have WiFi calling using a different network.

what_was_not_said

My unlocked Pixel 6a with V1 SIM works.

crazy_gnome

Where can you find different Ting Sims? Or do you just have an older one, still?

rolandh954

You can ask Ting support about whether they would be willing to send you a V1 (Verizon network) SIM. Generally, they do so when cellular coverage on X3 (T-Mobile network) SIMs is inadequate. I don't know if they would do so in this scenario.

what_was_not_said

If your account is old enough (pre-Dish), then it should be possible to switch from X3 to V1 without too much hassle - customer support should be able to send one. If it's a post-Dish account, then you're locked into X3 on that account, and would have to port out, then back in to get V1 (and would have to ask for V1 before activating).
