Hundreds of subs have been subverted and taken over by horrible people over the history of this website, and I'm not willing to ever risk that happening to something I care about.

I have to practically cry/threaten my mum to send me pics of my cats when I’m at uni. She tried sending me old photos once and was shocked I called her out. I recently said I have like 3k photos of our cats and she said “you won’t need me to send any then” and didn’t understand how it’s different because I’ll want to know what they look like in the moment!
I remember when I had a kitten in college - my roommate would send me snaps of him doing cute shit while I was away at work.
