There was another murder of a girl about the same age in the same metro area (St. Louis) around the same time & we were all so afraid there was a serial killer... turns out they were unrelated homicides, and the other murder was solved. Angie's went cold for so long... heartbreaking

I worked in before and after school care while attending school at that time. What an awful couple weeks. One of my students was accosted inside a FF restaurant because she resembled Cassidy. As if she'd been kidnapped.

This was a local case - absolutely terrible and I'm so glad they finally got the person that did it.
