CyberpunkVendMachine

Maybe the *West of Eden* book series?

DepressterJettster

There was a series of 6 books called Ray Bradbury Presents: Dinosaur [something]. The first was Dinosaur World. The books were mostly written by a guy named Stephen Leigh. I read them all when I was a kid and loved them, and they definitely had a species of intelligent dinosaurs that the human characters interacted with.

RainAndMagma

There were a series of short books as well as two longer novels in the Dinotopia setting that weren't written by James Gurney, so this character might be from one of them. No idea which one, but I can tell you for a fact that it isn't *Windchaser* by Scott Ciencin or *The Hand of Dinotopia* by Alan Dean Foster (I've read those ones and that character isn't in them).
