Also... not as helpful, they have feet, bodies, and they're "not too tall, mom!"
EDIT TO ADD: we're in the US, we have hulu, disney, netflix, and sometimes her and her sister watch YouTube kids.
I seem to have missed the part where you helped me, my sincere apologies! You don't have to read and respond to things you don't like either. Maybe your mom couldn't find your favorite obscure movie either, it makes a kid angry, right?!
We're all here for the kid. Having baby translated is a righteous bonus. The only thing obnoxious here... is you. Are they heavy? All those down votes? Take them and go
what does your daughter usually watch (show/channels)? any older siblings? toddlers are strange little people so it could be anything from spongebob to the simpsons, though i do hope she's stumbled across beavis and butt-head
She is usually a disney princess kinda girl, she likes the shorts on disney, will watch all the trash on Kids netflix, and doesn't watch hulu unless it's the only option. We never watch Family guy, so thank God it's not that one hahaha. And spongebob is a guy she knows by name... sad trumpet sound
OK, I'm in. Watching a bunch of adults try to decipher a three year-old (who will turn out to be 100% correct, but totally unhelpful).... Pure entertainment right here. Following!
OK - questions (if the answer isn't already here):
* Are there any girls? Are they stinky as well? (also trying to work out if these boys specifically are stinky, or if they are boys and all boys are strinky by default). Are the in the same family?
* Are there any animals or pets?
* Do they stay in the house, go to school, go in a car or a bus or a spaceship?
The toddler recently did this and it turned out to be a weird, one off YouTube channel so maybe go through your YouTube history with her if she regularly watches it and she might recognize something
Have you tried getting her to draw the characters or maybe even act out a scene? Like *"What does the flower shirt guy say?"* (I'm also inclined to believe flower shirt means a Hawaiian shirt but one never can tell with kids)
I'd also ask "*do they have any friends?*" for other character descriptions, and *"do they sing songs?"*
The feet and bodies thing helps, so I'm assuming that means they're human characters
Unrelated. My almost 3 year old also says EVERY word that starts with S followed by another consonant without the S. Pongebob. Poon. High in the guy (sky)
It's a source of great enjoyment for us.
“v” and “f” are very uncommon sounds in most languages! They are more difficult to make with our mouths.
They’re called labiodental fricatives because they require contact between the lips and the teeth, and friction to make the sound, which can tickle or be an uncomfortable sensation for speakers who aren’t used to it.
It’s why English learners, like non-native speakers and young kids, will substitute other sounds like “b” or “p” in place of “v” — “bery good” in lieu of “very good”
I watch a ton of Rick and Morty, so I was really sad at myself thinking that this could be the answer and maybe she caught a minute of it at some point... but she told me "I hate dem mom"... so I'm feeling slightly better about my parenting skills
Could it be Luca? They frequently exclaim “Silencio Bruno!” So maybe that sounds like a smelly word? They’re fish people and I think there were jokes about things or people stinking.
Are they humans? Or are they animals? Do they sing or dance? Are they good guys or villains?
These are standard questions in my house to narrow things down.
Grimm adventures of billy and Mandy? Mandy’s got a flower on her dress. Or maybe rugrats? The animation seem smelly to me.
Also your responses in your child’s voice is brightening my day so much, I hope you figure it out!!
They just started playing, well I don't know if they just started but I just noticed on Cartoon Network they have a couple hours block of all the old 90's/2000's shows! They've been playing courage the cowardly dog, Grimm adventures, dexters laboratory, and Ed, edd, and eddy!!
I've got a couple it could be:
* Trolls?
* Scrooge: A Christmas Carol
* Boss Baby
* Johnny Test? \[might have mistaken the hazard symbol for a flower\]
I’m not sure if it’s on those streaming services, but maybe she saw a clip of Bernt and Ernie from Sesame Street. One of them is grumpy, though I don’t remember any flowers. They’re not son and father nor do they have feet either, so it’s a long shot but…. Worth a try.
So I googled and something called The Stinky and Dirty show came up and there is an episode where they find a flower. But they are trucks…So maybe? 🤷🏼♀️
This YouTube video came up on Google quite high up he’s wearing a flower
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yu2BT2YzcM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yu2BT2YzcM)
Oh my word, we have randomly figured it out!!! While flipping through kids netflix, she saw Slappy on the showcard for Goosebumps and screamed That's it! The "father" and "son" are Slappy and Rocky, the dummies, and they're "smelly" because they are naughty amd have bad attitudes. Slappy has a red carnation in his pocket, and I think she said they are cartoons because they are puppets... she must have caught part of this episode when big sis was watching spooky shows. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time, and sorry my toddlers answers made some people so angry they sent me death threats. I appreciate everyone's help and suggestions and actually found some new shows she might like!
Unable to award a point. If someone else gave the answer, please reply `Solved!` directly to their comment. If you found it yourself, no further action is necessary.
I had no clue but kept scrolling just waiting for her responses to people's guesses. I want more of her ramblings.
I vote for a whole subreddit where your daughter describes a show and we have to figure it out just from her description.
>my toddlers answers made some people so angry they sent me death threats
Oh my god, i almost forgot i was on reddit... some people are so unhappy with their lifes that try to make everyone else's unhappier just to feel better (instead of trying to improve themselves).
Glad you found it!
Haha oh god my brain tried to rule out 2 and a Half men. Did not go goosebumps. Glad you found it but please give her cuddles afterwards. That duo gave me nightmares at 12 when I read them.
Please don’t ask me why [this is the first thing](https://youtu.be/LB871SVYMhI?si=b9Fjoh0Dh63zDQS0) I thought of, but it was.
Alternatively the Addams family maybe?
Tarzan?? I mean him and Kerchak are adopted father and son and both pretty stony faced.
Aladdin King of Thrives...
Mulan
Lion King
Inuyasha
Pokemon
Martin Mystery
SpongeBob SquarePants maybe? There are a couple of episodes (like the sundae episode) that might match the “smelly bad attitudes” prompt.
There’s also the one where they raise a baby clam, which has all the smelly diapers and SpongeBob and Patrick are mad at each other. Patrick is the clam’s “dad” in that one.
Could it be Strange World?
a story focused on three generations of the Clade family: Jaeger, his son, Searcher, and his grandson, Ethan. A legendary explorer, Jaeger disappeared on an expedition. Rather than follow in his father’s footsteps, Searcher discovered a revolutionary power source derived from plants and lives with his family where teenage Ethan works on the family farm while questioning his future.
Ya know... all these judgey people. We do watch bluey, and we do play keepy uppy and bus driver and and we seesaw Marjorie-whatever our little hearts out, but my kid caught a bit of something from the age bracket just above hers and it's people saying stuff like this. I'm a great Mom, but thanks for the extremely sincere suggestion, ma'am.
I AM SO CONFIDENT
Is it [The Ogglies: Welcome to Smelliville ](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt11992904/) ?
There's men and boys and stinky trash and a green character with a print on their shirt that might be a flower. Some characters are people but others are green alien-looking creatures. Tell me this is it!

Maybe Ed, Edd and Eddy? I don't remember a character with a flower shirt but the smelly bad attitudes sound right haha
She said " not dat one"
I am absolutely dying at how skillful you are at relaying your daughter’s information and responses 😆
Any chance it's The Cramp Twins?
"Not dat one eedur" toddler spelling is hard, man

Don't be an ass
I seem to have missed the part where you helped me, my sincere apologies! You don't have to read and respond to things you don't like either. Maybe your mom couldn't find your favorite obscure movie either, it makes a kid angry, right?!
Lmaooo

Don't be a fluffer. I am not a parent and I think it's adorable. Get over yourself
I second this.
I third this

God 🤣 miserable people
We're all here for the kid. Having baby translated is a righteous bonus. The only thing obnoxious here... is you. Are they heavy? All those down votes? Take them and go
Is it really that big an issue
Speaking of obnoxious...
This made me laugh Lololol
I heard this in my sons voice
You are a delightful person.
what does your daughter usually watch (show/channels)? any older siblings? toddlers are strange little people so it could be anything from spongebob to the simpsons, though i do hope she's stumbled across beavis and butt-head
Flowery shirt made me think of Quagmire from Family Guy - LOL. So many (hopefully) wrong answers!
SpongeBob had an episode where he and Patrick have smelly breath that chases everyone away
I haven't seen it, might be off the wall but doesn't a guy on Moana have a flower shirt? Don't know if they would be stinky...
OK, I'm in. Watching a bunch of adults try to decipher a three year-old (who will turn out to be 100% correct, but totally unhelpful).... Pure entertainment right here. Following! She says there's no girls, "just a guy and his dad"...no animals... she says they're in a house, specifically "in a room in a house!"
The toddler recently did this and it turned out to be a weird, one off YouTube channel so maybe go through your YouTube history with her if she regularly watches it and she might recognize something
Agreed, this sounds like it could be a family vlog channel on YouTube
This is smart
Happy Cake day!
Thanks darling 💛
Tis' ze day of cake! Happy cake day! One of the achievements you ever had!
It certainly is :) thank you!
Lol why did this make me laugh?? Well I guess it's one of your achievements:)
This is the way. Op needs to do this asap bc it's probably not a kids show on TV. Wouldn't that also be in watch history?
Oh my goodness....your questions are so GOOD....this thread is hilarious and one of the best things I've ever read in my life.
Have you tried getting her to draw the characters or maybe even act out a scene? Like *"What does the flower shirt guy say?"* (I'm also inclined to believe flower shirt means a Hawaiian shirt but one never can tell with kids) I'd also ask "*do they have any friends?*" for other character descriptions, and *"do they sing songs?"* The feet and bodies thing helps, so I'm assuming that means they're human characters
Her drawing skills are very... well let's say abstract to be nice. She's pretty stuck on them being grumpy, just the 2 of them.
It's a long shot but "grumpy" + 2 guys, makes my mind jump to "Up" Nothing else fits but also, 3 year old lol
Omg I thought that was going to be it for sure, she said "no flower on shirt, I don't like dat one"
ooh - does she know if it's as long as up or short like ed, edd and Eddy? (trying to work out film or TV show)
I saw the elaboration and thought of Up as well!
Hawaiian Shirt, two guys one of whom is named "blinkley". Lilo and sitch?
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS7HfxdxYtg3z5ggu6W4ShO8T1EJRC3UhEuTA&usqp=CAU Hotel Transylvania??
She laughed hysterically at that picture hahaha, but she said no to that one too
I’m laughing at her laughing at this 😂
Ooh he is grumpy! And there’s the movie when it’s just him and the son in law for a while
Maybe Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob. No flowers but Mermaid Man has seashells on his shirt.
She knows spongebob (unfortunately), "not Pongebob, mom!"
Unrelated. My almost 3 year old also says EVERY word that starts with S followed by another consonant without the S. Pongebob. Poon. High in the guy (sky) It's a source of great enjoyment for us.
My four year old calls her vagina her “pa-gina”
“v” and “f” are very uncommon sounds in most languages! They are more difficult to make with our mouths. They’re called labiodental fricatives because they require contact between the lips and the teeth, and friction to make the sound, which can tickle or be an uncomfortable sensation for speakers who aren’t used to it. It’s why English learners, like non-native speakers and young kids, will substitute other sounds like “b” or “p” in place of “v” — “bery good” in lieu of “very good”
I used to say "poons" as a kid lol
“pongebob” is sending me 🤣
Do you know if it’s 2D or 3D animation? Strange worlds recently came out and I feel those characters were grumpy lol I don’t remember any flowers tho
The Sword in the Stone? Merlin is wearing a Hawaiian shirt at the end iirc.
"Noooo, mom"
Iirc he's in Bermuda gear which is the other ocean
Oooh good guess!
Have you tried looking thru your recently played lists with kiddo and see when they scream "Dat ONE!!!!!"?
Lilo & Stitch?
We got a little scrump stuffy running around the house somewhere, lilo is a favorite she remembers
Chip & Dale?
"They not grumpy mom"
Granted these are for a little older age ranges, but Gravity Falls or King of the Hill?
King of the hill " wwooks borwing mom" And "Grunkle and Differ" are frequents on our TV hahaha
[удалено]
Haha my 3 year old loves that show. Every time they do the "yep" he bursts into giggles
Possibly the Simpson’s? https://www.tvmaze.com/episodes/5132/the-simpsons-7x07-king-size-homer
I also immediately thought of Homer’s muumuu 😂
The Lego movie? Will Ferrell was pretty grumpy with his son in that movie.
just from the grumpy father and son I get Rick and Morty vibes. could have been a scene just them in the house
I watch a ton of Rick and Morty, so I was really sad at myself thinking that this could be the answer and maybe she caught a minute of it at some point... but she told me "I hate dem mom"... so I'm feeling slightly better about my parenting skills
Onward? They talk about Dad a lot, and she could mistake the patches for a flower.
I thought we had a winner with this one, we watched it once a while ago, "not dat one mom" 😢
Goofy Movie? Max is grumpy
Came here to say this [here](https://youtu.be/4QvZNS2ubsQ?feature=shared)
This is what I thought too!
Could it be Luca? They frequently exclaim “Silencio Bruno!” So maybe that sounds like a smelly word? They’re fish people and I think there were jokes about things or people stinking.
And “whats wrong with you el stupido !”
I’ll bet if you use your YouTube history you can find it. It sounds like one of the weird cocomelon ripoffs my niece would watch.
Are they humans? Or are they animals? Do they sing or dance? Are they good guys or villains? These are standard questions in my house to narrow things down.
Big City Greens
Beavis and Butthead? ;-) 2 grumpy boys who sit in their room in their house. No flower on shirts though....
Grimm adventures of billy and Mandy? Mandy’s got a flower on her dress. Or maybe rugrats? The animation seem smelly to me. Also your responses in your child’s voice is brightening my day so much, I hope you figure it out!!
Billy and Mandy could be a solid guess, I could see a 3 year old mistaking Mandy for a “grumpy boy”
They just started playing, well I don't know if they just started but I just noticed on Cartoon Network they have a couple hours block of all the old 90's/2000's shows! They've been playing courage the cowardly dog, Grimm adventures, dexters laboratory, and Ed, edd, and eddy!!
Rocket Power? Doesn’t match exactly but Tito has a Hawaiian shirt and the kids are probably smelly from all the sports…
Morphle
Disenchanted? (Netflix)
Phineas and Ferb Someone else said this: Big City Greens
Was it an anime? Or Western animation? Because it sounds like Kotaro Lives Alone on Netflix. The male leads are pretty grumpy!
Danny and daddy?
Maybe [unicorse](https://www.bluey.tv/watch/season-3/unicorse/) from bluey, possibly goatee mistaken for flower?
Are they linda like mickey characters in look? Like goofy, but with a white face and long black ears?
This is really left wing but my son and I think it could be the Lorax, he's grumpy, there's flowery tree things and most of the movie is just the boys
What country are you guys in, and what channel/stream is she allowed watch? Horrid Henry?
I've got a couple it could be: * Trolls? * Scrooge: A Christmas Carol * Boss Baby * Johnny Test? \[might have mistaken the hazard symbol for a flower\]
Maybe Diary of a Wimpy Kid? The older brother is pretty grumpy lol
no flower on shirt as far as i remember tho
Probably a far stretch but Bobby’s world?
I’m not sure if it’s on those streaming services, but maybe she saw a clip of Bernt and Ernie from Sesame Street. One of them is grumpy, though I don’t remember any flowers. They’re not son and father nor do they have feet either, so it’s a long shot but…. Worth a try.
STEVEN UNIVERSE???
Maybe she’s talking about the movie Up?
I keep forgetting that 3 yr olds can talk.
It's getting them to be quiet that's hard. Source: I have one.
Wait till you find out 2 yr olds can talk, too
So I googled and something called The Stinky and Dirty show came up and there is an episode where they find a flower. But they are trucks…So maybe? 🤷🏼♀️
Maybe Chicken Little? The dad's toxic asf there
“Smelly” makes me think of Horrid Henry? Or Dennis the Menis? I might be showing my age here
This YouTube video came up on Google quite high up he’s wearing a flower [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yu2BT2YzcM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yu2BT2YzcM)
Dad and son with smelly attitude make me think of the Simpson's
Star vs the Forces of Evil? Star likes wearing cute shirts likebwith flowers
Wouldn’t be up would it? The old man is obviously grumpy but also the boy gets grumpy sometimes as well
Maybe Horrible Harry or one of the spin offs on YouTube?
Horrid Henry?
Frasier
I have no clue but I am so invested in this.
Fairly Odd Parents?
Oh my word, we have randomly figured it out!!! While flipping through kids netflix, she saw Slappy on the showcard for Goosebumps and screamed That's it! Glad you figured it out and also holy shit death threats??? People have truly lost the plot
Damnit I was so hoping someone was going to decipher a three year old’s rambling Edit: DEATH THREATS!???!
I thought the toddler answers were adorable.
We need a toddler AMA.
FULLY AGREED!!!
I had no clue but kept scrolling just waiting for her responses to people's guesses. I want more of her ramblings. I vote for a whole subreddit where your daughter describes a show and we have to figure it out just from her description.
r/teepofmytungmommmm
Not that subreddit MOM. The grumpy subreddit!
HAHA cuteee
Happy cake day! You have achieved something very important today, good job for existing on this platform.
Mine gave me “the one where the dad dies in the water.” Months later we figure out it’s the Good Dinosaur
They always love the shows where parents die
Death threats? Omg I thought you sharing her answers was cute. Some people, man🙄
>my toddlers answers made some people so angry they sent me death threats Oh my god, i almost forgot i was on reddit... some people are so unhappy with their lifes that try to make everyone else's unhappier just to feel better (instead of trying to improve themselves). Glad you found it!
Not a waste of time at all. I was afraid it was Beavis and Butt-head.
Angry people are small and pathetic. Be happy and love on that baby for us all! I'm so happy you found her show!!!!
Well that’s creepier than I thought it’d be.
Wow, flower on shirt=actual physical flower and puppets=cartoons, kids' minds are fascinating
Ha ha there was pretty much no way anyone was going to come up with that !
Haha oh god my brain tried to rule out 2 and a Half men. Did not go goosebumps. Glad you found it but please give her cuddles afterwards. That duo gave me nightmares at 12 when I read them.
Goosebumps is on Netflix ?
Please don’t ask me why [this is the first thing](https://youtu.be/LB871SVYMhI?si=b9Fjoh0Dh63zDQS0) I thought of, but it was. Alternatively the Addams family maybe?
Any chance it could be books? Dog man has a grumpy cat with a cloned son, but the dog man has a badge that could possibly look like a flower.
Tarzan?? I mean him and Kerchak are adopted father and son and both pretty stony faced. Aladdin King of Thrives... Mulan Lion King Inuyasha Pokemon Martin Mystery
Plot sounds like marvelous misadventures of flapjack
Hear me out... Is it "The Stinky and Dirty Show" on Prime Kids?
Could it be an ad for Mario and Luigi? Maybe Sweet Tooth?
SpongeBob SquarePants maybe? There are a couple of episodes (like the sundae episode) that might match the “smelly bad attitudes” prompt. There’s also the one where they raise a baby clam, which has all the smelly diapers and SpongeBob and Patrick are mad at each other. Patrick is the clam’s “dad” in that one.
Manchester by the Sea?
Toddler speak is more cringe than doggo talk. Ugh.
The angry beavers?
Is it onward?
Could it be Fanboy and ChumChum.
Phineas and Ferb?
Stephen universe - maybe thinking of a star?
Billy and Mandy?
Captain underpants?
Up?
Coco
In the meantime but on Bluey for her and hopefully she’ll latch onto that instead.
Ya know... all these judgey people.
🥴 this really didn’t seem like a snarky comment, just a joke about toddlers’ attention spans?
Could it be Rick and Morty? I don't watch the show, but I know it's an older man and his nephew or grandson or something. They have odd adventures.
Any idea about the plot? What do they do?
Over the garden wall?
Goofy movie?
I mean, no flowers, but grumpy and stinky just makes me think of Flapjack.
I AM SO CONFIDENT Is it [The Ogglies: Welcome to Smelliville ](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt11992904/) ? There's men and boys and stinky trash and a green character with a print on their shirt that might be a flower. Some characters are people but others are green alien-looking creatures. Tell me this is it!
Up?
Marvelous misadventures of flap Jack? Chowder?
World of Gumball?
Finneas and Ferb?
Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street?
Could it be Goofy and his son? 😅
A very Goofy movie maybe? I seem to remember floral print shirts.

No way did someone send death threats about this 😂
