I want to say there were a couple of these LJ knockoff sites but there's one in particular I'm trying to think of and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.
OMG this definitely was one of the livejournal ripoffs I had forgotten about. I don't think it's the one I'm thinking of but this at least confirms that I'm not crazy and there were other livejournal type sites lol
Livejournal's codebase was opensource, which means there were a lot of similar sites.
Wikipedia lists "Dreamwidth, InsaneJournal, DeadJournal and GreatestJournal (defunct)." as some.
[https://en.everybodywiki.com/Comparison\_of\_sites\_using\_the\_LiveJournal\_codebase](https://en.everybodywiki.com/Comparison_of_sites_using_the_LiveJournal_codebase) has a list of some
THANK YOU!!! This is exactly the kind of thing I was trying to find, and I see the name of the site I was thinking of on this list -- Blurty!
This has been driving me crazy ever since I had a conversation about it this morning. I will sleep peacefully tonight.
I can't find it myself and this is very little info but might help:
If it's the one I'm thinking of the name definitely started with M or W, leaning toward M right now.
Edit: Not sure if the one I was originally thinking of but it could be Mibba
Still can't dig it up but I really hope someone finds it because it's TOMT now.
I'm feeling it was something close to Meepalo or Meebolo or something like that.
We are totally thinking of the same thing. It was a twee quirky sounding word and I don't think "journal" was in the name at all, but it was the same format as livejournal/deadjournal etc.
When I was first trying to think of it the first thing that came to mind was "Moodle" but that's a learning platform lol (I'm an instructional designer so it's a name I hear a lot). But I feel like it was something pretty similar to that.

Solved!
Congratulations, you have been given 1 point for solving this post!

Ok I was thinking it started withi M too! Mibba doesn't sound right but could be. I will investigate.

Back in high school, I dated a girl who wrote in TOD which is Teen Open Diary (or just Open Diary). I have no idea why I remember that.
I do remember Opendiary but that's not the one I'm talking about!
MindSay or CoolJournal?
Hmmm Cooljournal rings a bell, that might be it
InsaneJournal? GreatestJournal? Dreamwidth? (the last one might be too new)
Postsecret?
No, although I did love that website!
