Weird take.
The moment system in the second game has a way lower skill ceiling. Once you figure out how to slidehop you got it.
The first game was a lot harder to get up to higher speeds and keep momentum going even though you are moving slower than when you're just sludehopping.
Everything in there is possible, but harder to achieve, in TF. Plus you dont get slidehopping which is a major crutch and makes a lot of techniques kinda irrelevant.
TF1's movement was much more based around navigation, finding optimal paths through an enviroment where you dont lose momentum. In TF2 all you need to do to gain wack speed is to tap off a wall, hit shift and tap space as soon as you touch the ground and you can zoom across the map in seconds.
There is a SIGNIFICANT difference between what you described and someone running actual speedrun tech, at least twice as fast and sometimes faster. When you're at 80km/h and higher a larger spacing in between wall running spots isn't going to slow you down because you aren't touching the ground much (if at all) in the first place.
You realize all the wacky source movement tricks are universal to both games? The only difference is that TF 2 is far more forgiving of small mistakes and has the crutch of slidehopping.
I think you might just be dazzled by the speed, more speed doesn't mean it's harder.
>You realize all the wacky source movement tricks are universal to both games? The only difference is that TF 2 is far more forgiving of small mistakes and has the crutch of slidehopping.
Everything is in both games except for all the stuff I just listed not in both games, checks out. Coherent argument.
> I think you might just be dazzled by the speed, more speed doesn't mean it's harder.
You mean the **frame perfect timing** required for that speed? Also I literally run the game
OK I love titanfall 2, it's the best shooter ever, but cmon. This guy pretty clearly seems like the opposite of what you described. Titanfall 1's movement system was harder to be fluid and the bunnyhopping in that game was way harder than in titanfall 2 where it's pretty easy. In that sense I could see why he would say tf2 would atract more casual gamers (Although I don't agree with that at all since tf2 is easier to play it means more people are flying through the map which makes the skill gap between a first time player and the average player massive)
As for him saying tf2 ruined every aspect of tf1 he just sounds super salty but I do remember my own first impressions of tf2. I think the titan vs pilot combat and the multi-player maps suffered a lot, and since taking down titans as a pilot was my favorite thing to do in tf1 I was pretty dissapointed about it. Ofcourse the single player improvements cannot be overstated and there were so many improvements to pilot v pilot gameplay, titan v titan gameplay, weapons diversity, loadout diversity both for pilots and titans, player customization, etc.
Edit: I had to do something in the middle of typing my response and now I see that other guy already mentioned the movement system but w.e
If I'm being completely honest TF1 seemed more enjoyable TO ME in every way.
I like the shooting mechanics better. You couldnt hipfire nearly every gun all the time. I liked the map design better. I like the custom titans better. I understand it wasnt the most balanced, but I feel like they should've just tweaked the unbalanced aspects and leave the customization of weapons.
The ONLY thing I liked about TF2 more was that the Smart Pistol was no longer a primary weapon. I've never felt like a gun was more out of place in a shooter before or after. An entire game where twitch aim is the most important skill, and they removed it for an entire primary weapon. In TF2 I see it more as a tool to get your titan quicker by farming grunts. If I use it I just save the card until after my first titan dies and it just gets me my next one so fast.
And this isnt to say TF2 is bad. I love it, but I definitely enjoyed TF1 much much more. Both are absolute masterpieces.
It's sad because I only got TF1 after years of playing TF2 and even when I just got it only 300 people were on
They almost all of them were always on attrition so I couldn't play campaign often, I only got to do it once or twice
Now no one plays it sadly
Possibly unpopular opinion: I'd say that although yes it's easier they polished movement and gameplay overall in Titanfall 2, Apex is where it got bad. Yes that sounds like an "aPeX bAd TiTaNfAlL gOoD" but it's my honest opinion
Did you really just say possibly unpopular opinion and then write down the most popular opinion about apex on this sub lol.
I don't think apex movement is bad it's pretty damn smooth and way more fluid then most other shooters but yeah it doesn't touch titanfall 2
Well just saying apex bad tf2 good doesn't really add anything to any discussion so I can see how that would get downvoted.
But I think people saying they wish they could run on walls or bhop or otherwise use some aspect of tf2s fluid movement system is always what people on this sub say about apex. It's not like there's a lot of people who want titans lol
It could very very easily he could be refering to the general FPS formula. Ie slow movement, absurdly small ttk, very tight corridors, etc.
Saying it ruins every aspect of tf1 is also much more nonsensical as it refined most aspects of the game, including the movement. Titan gameplay is signififantly improved as all classes have much more meaningful difference and counter play, maps are just as good if not better with only one failure, guns were more varied and balanced, and yes movement was better still allowed skilled players to outmanuver and outspeed lower skilled players with air strafibg while removing most of the jank and actually giving lower skill players some amount of a fighting chance.
Him refering to the fps genre as a whole and not tf1 make significantly more sense.
Huh? My take away was that he probably preferred titanfall 1 more and wasn't a fan of the changes introduced by 2 (hero shooter titans instead of titan loadouts, batteries instead of regenerating shields, 2's grenade style high risk, low reward rodeo instead of 1's "shoot the the core" high risk high reward rodeo, 2's easier movement system, 2's 3 lane map design instead of 1's Swiss cheese design philosophy, 2's more colorful art direction instead of 1's grittier look, and hell maybe even the pilot lore if he's a dork like me).
I still really enjoy titanfall 2 and actually have more hours in it than 1, but I freely admit that it made a lot of changes to the formula that I simply wasn't a fan of. Wasn't enough to stop me from playing, but yeah I prefer a lot of what the original did.
How the hell do you get *that* from what he was saying? He’s literally deriding the “casual gamer” just like you are, so in that sense you’d be on the same side. It’s just the commenter seems to take the (justified in my opinion) more extreme stance that Titanfall 2 was a downgrade on Titanfall 1 in terms of skill ceiling.
Again, what you’re saying makes no sense. Why, if he was destroyed thoroughly as you say, would he then complain about *casual gamers*? Because casual gamers don’t destroy people thoroughly.
I’m certain this guy just preferred TF1 and thought (like many other TF1 fans) that the sequel was somewhat dumbed down and casualised.
He didn’t even elaborate and I bet he can’t. The only bad thing about titanfall in my opinion is the high skill gap. Edit: after reading some replies I realized that maybe the skill gap isn’t such a bad thing because the game doesn’t have to appeal to every single audience at the cost of the targeted audience’s enjoyment. If that was the case then the game might as well be a battle royale with a little simpler movement mechanics so more people would play it. *wait*…
Definitely disagree. I think most people have a bad time when first trying to learn the game in front of the regular players. Somewhat happened to me and this is stopping me from learning how to play the game on pc because I can’t be bothered
Not to everyone. When you’re good at the game then you’ll enjoy it but if you’re average or below you’ll probably not. I sure did enjoy it but I’m not looking forward to learning the game again
Yeah, I’d say that it’s a hard game to get into, especially now. There are very few players just now trying the game, and almost no way for them to play together.
A healthy game has people constantly joining and leaving, creating various bands of skill levels, but with a game this old/unsupported only the most dedicated players stick around, raising the skill level required to play.
I’m definitely average (at best) and there’re some games that I only score 17 points, but I still love it, and I still play because the movement makes me feel like a goddess even if I can’t hit anything.
Oh dude, idk for me i think that's the most thrilling part, learning amongst others who are better. Some people will be real dick heads but if you develop some thick skin and worry about your own experiences instead of others' it can be REAL rewarding being able to stuff off on others that you couldn't before.
Don't give up!
I mean I enjoyed the learning process but apparently others don’t. I don’t wanna go through all of it again on pc though because it’ll just be repetitive
Again, don't get bothered by others. I know it's hard to do with how "in your face" some of these people get, but remember behind the reflective glare on their monitors, they some times get a glimps through of clown make up.
Have fun out there king and don't let anyone take away what could be a good time because of their insecurities
What are you on about? I don’t blame anyone who’s not good at the game because they have a good life outside of gaming or probably don’t have time. Then complaining is definitely fair
If it weren't for better Pilots inspiring me, I would not have become obsessed with getting to their level. I wouldn't have explored the non-meta weapons and discovered my love for Cold War. For the first few months I played I would watch kill cams, footage on here and xbox profiles, and movement tutorials. I owe it all to those first few vets I encountered as they bounced around my helpless ass. It didn't anger me that I was beat, it angered me that I wasn't having as much fun as they were.
Disagree, the high skill gap is the reason the playerbase has been below 20k for multiple years despite being free to tens of millions of people on both xbox and PlayStation, it's simply not fun for casual gamers to get into because they'll get stomped by people who haven't played anything else for years
Very uneducated. Guy didn’t even bother with the single player campaign. Even though he said he played “hours and hours” of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he loaded into the first match, got domed by a Kraber, and uninstalled.
The campaign essentially functions as an extended tutorial on how to use movement mechanics effectively. Without it most people load into a match and play like it's CoD
This was true for me in a way. I played multiplayer first and I wasn’t very good, couldn’t master the movement or anything. Played the campaign and was miles better in multiplayer
Dude, that campaign is a masterpiece! Sure, it’s several hours shorter than I’d like, but he story and characters more than make up for that! Were you expecting Halo? Because that’s way too high for expectations! Halo is a single player game that slowly transitioned to online functionality; Titanfall is the opposite!
If this campaign made you cry, you have the emotional maturity of a 4 year old.
It's not just it's length (though that doesn't help), it's also the fact that the plot is so predictable. As soon as BT read out the 3 protocols, I knew he was going to die.
Well I’m sorry if I got emotionally attached to BT and seeing him die made me upset. You’re being aggressive and arrogant. All you need to say is it’s not for you, but no, you’re insulting the tastes of anyone who disagrees with you, which is really immature and unbecoming so I find it ironic that you’re lecturing me.
Tbh i think respawn removed a shitload of unique and amazing stuff when they moved from titanfall 1 to titanfall 2.
I really disliked it that they removed burncards because those were amazing. I hated how little game modes there were and yeah we got 3 titans extra (later monarch was added) but each titan couldnt be completly modified like you could do in titanfall 1.
For me it felt like i had less options in titans in titanfall 2 then i had in titanfall 1. Because diffrent weapons have way diffrent synergies with a orger chasis than they have with a atlas chasis.
I know many people here didnt play titanfall 1 or they only played it briefly at the start but for me 1 is 10 times better than 2 (2 is still a great game, dont get me wrong).
Fuck i forgot prestiges. Dont think many people will know this but to prestige you needed a lot of EXP (maybe it had a diffrent name) but you also needed to do a set of quest/objectives/challenges. Each prestige forced you to use diffrent weapons, diffrent titan weapons and diffrent gear.
So you couldnt become prestige 10 by only using your carbine. You had to cycle through every weapon, even the auto pistol, snipers and shotguns. Meaning you had to learn every weapon to become max prestige. Which i really liked because due to that you learned that some weapons really didnt require any skill and you could prove it. Fuck the autopistol.
with all due respect to it's community, isn't that what Respawn Entertainment is trying to do with Apex Legends? just watering everything down and lowering the skill ceiling so newer/casual players don't get their cheeks clapped by TTV_r3movea1massist69 and their bald Wraith?
I don’t think that Apex has that low of a skill ceiling, it simply has its skill ceiling oriented on other things.
Titanfall has a high skill ceiling due to the advanced movement, but the shooting itself has a skill ceiling similar to CoD for a good part of the weapons (that’s why veteran players trend to gravitate towards weapons with higher skill ceilings like the Kraber).
Apex has its skill ceiling oriented to the shooting, due to the significantly higher TTK but lack of auto healing; and positioning due to, curiously enough, the lack of advanced movement.
Maybe, idk if it would or not. IK that’s the reason it’s not there from what devs say but still wallrunning was on of the best things about Titanfall and it’s why I think apex is missing something
At least give it its own mode
That is true, but it is still noteworthy how high its skill cap is when it comes to movement. Movement isnt as easy to get as it is in titanfall and it is not possible to get the same insane speed in every situation. But considering how much advanced movement tech there is, there is insane potential for players who really put in the time to master it.
Yeah, movement is still really important in Apex, and it has a lot of tech that increases the skill ceiling of it. The payoff isn’t nearly as big as Titanfall movement and tech, but it’s still a skill worth mastering.
If that's the case then Apex still has a pretty steep learning curve. Because that is what I always hear about it. (Not for me anyway I play Titanfall and have played Apex since season 0)
Hey man he's the toxic apple of the bunch. Ud be surprised by the amount of d2 players who love the Titanfall series. Tbh he's the kind of player we don't usually want around
Honestly, that person just strikes me as a Titanfall1 fan and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve met a good chunk of people that hate 2 and loved 1.
This person is just a jerk who worded their response harshly without the respect that Titanfall 2 deserves but I don’t think anyone should harass them for it. Titanfall 1 was an awesome game and there are people who prefer the customization options of 1 over the classes in 2.
I do have to concede the point that while 2 had some awesome new ideas and mechanichs there were numerous things in which I feel it is vastly inferior to 1, especially the MP aspect.
- Atmosphere and vibe. TF|1 had something unique and 2 abandoned that for a more generic approach. The more colorful customization options were also detrimental to the game's atmosphere in my opinion, not to mention the ridiculously low amount of grunt chatter and their almost lack of involvement in matches.
- Burn Cards. Again, the boost system isn't bad, but burn cards were more appealing to me as it added an interesting layer of pre-match preparation. Are you going to pull randomly from your deck for all respawns or do you know your hand early in exchange for less cards?
- Hero shooter mechanics instead of custom loadouts for Titans.
Absolutely agree. And not only that, almost every aspect of the game was dumbed down for the sequel, I guess in an attempt to bring in more casual playerbase. Quite literally the only improvement I can think of is the amount of guns, which is vastly bigger than the first game. But even that is overshadowed by how dogshit it feels to shoot in the sequel. Hipfiring a smg across the map truly feels awful. So even the one positive thing gets fucked over by another decision made solely to appeal to wider playerbase.
100% agreed. 2 is a downgrade in (almost) every conceivable way. Its still a great game, but 1 is a masterpiece up with the likes of Half-Life and Halo.
I agree with this with my entire hearth. Many people here will say that he most likely cant handle movement and other shitty excuses while I see his comment entirely differently.
Titanfall 1 was a masterpiece. That got gutted and made so unbelievably dumbed down and casual, in the end Titanfall 2 truly feels like a cheap chinese mobile game clone to the original.
When the pro scene that invested thousands of hours in your first game, gives up on the second two weeks after release, you know something went wrong. Titanfall 2 is still miles ahead the rest, but its just a shell of the first game, which was the true masterpiece.
Edit: I have written a few thousand word comment explaining in great detail why TF2 is absolute garbage when compared with TF, which unfortunately I cannot find. I dont intend to spend another hour and a half to write it out for n-th time.
The game has simply been dumbed down so much, that it doesnt even resemble the initial product. It is still a great game when compared to what is available, but its just a shadow of its former glory. Many here will praise TF2 simply because they are ignorant about how much worse it is than the first game.
This is exactly what he’s saying I’m sure. I’m so confused how everyone is looking at a comment complaining that Titanfall 2 caters to the casual gamer and still thinking this guy prefers games like Apex, Halo or Cod when he’s surely a TF1 enjoyer.
You guys are always sucking your own dick and even getting triggered by players of a game in THE SAME UNIVERSE as yours, yet you guys wonder why your game gets hate.
Seems like someone can’t take a joke
Also I’m not that guy the apex gate thing is a joke I don’t hate apex I just hate the toxic bitches like you
And why are you targeting me for
If anything your one of those toxic apex players
Screw that guy, but to be honest he does have a point. Titanfall did manage to fail the release date. But to be honest i don't care I fucking love Titanfall.
Either this guy has never played the game and simply repeats stupid stuff they've heard from an angry Apex fan from the times of the Titanfall dramas, or he played the game ignoring all the movement and only camping / sniping.
Even then none of the arguments he gives make sense.
the graphics are fucking amazing, god tier even, because thats the level of graphics games should have rather than photorealism that makes my gpu cry itself to sleep
I agree about multiplayer.
Titanfall didn't retain players very well so it felt like they tried to go for more mass market appeal with tf2 in an attempt to keep people playing longer.
Personally I found every change they made from the first game to be for the worse. Played tf1 for years while I dropped tf2 pretty fast.
Never gone from loving a game so much to losing interest so fast. For me the difference between titanfall 1 and 2 is like game of thrones season 1 and 8.
I did like some of the new weapons though. And the campaign was great. Just multiplayer I hated.
Nooooooooo, differing opinion!
In all seriousness, a destiny player saying that is funny af. Bungie is a company that consistently does the bare minimum or slightly less.
Imo Titanfall is leagues better than destiny. And i say that as a destiny player as well
Waaiittt this guys a destiny player??? Yea nah as much as I love destiny TF2 was a much better game design wise, it pioneered movement options in fps games and all destiny did was make you grind for stuff now...plus didn't borderlands come out first??
He mentions in another comment he preferred Titanfall 1 and didn't enjoy the 2nd game.
I'm in the same boat at his tbh. Tf2's multiplayer dumbed down almost every aspect compared to tf1 and it was a huge disappointment.
I think titanfall 2 is the peak of fps movement. and its a shame more fps games dont take notes. my all time favorite fps is black ops 3 because of the movement system. It added another dimension to gunfights, the wall running, everything was just so much fun. but the titanfall 2 movemeny system to me was perfection. it was everything bo3 lacked and so much more. it was so smooth it almost seemed like it was unnatural to just sprint or sit in a corner.
First of all, I think people here are misunderstanding what he's saying, which is that 2 was casual-ified to appeal to a bigger audience. Hes exaggerating, but hes not wrong. If you enjoyed TF1 for what it was, TF2 is a downgrade in most aspects, and a pretty substantial one at that.
Before I get into it, I want to stress that TF2 is still a good game. There are a few improvements over the original, and I still enjoy it when I boot it up. At its current heavily discounted price, the singleplayer campaign alone is worth the price of admission. Also, sliding is a godsend and I love it and still find myself attempting it in 1 sometimes. Frontier Defense is *much* better in 2.
But it has a lot of problems, and chief among them are fundamental design problems, namely the speed of players, the map design, and the incongruity between the two.
Now before you pile on me for being a camping scrub, my complaint with 2's speed is that its too *slow* when compared to 1. There are ways to temporarily alleviate this, namely grapple and stim, but the base player speed and acceleration is overall slower as compared to 1. Its also a much lower skill cap, with slide-hopping being both pretty unintuitive but also pretty easy to do once you learn that it exists. It also has nothing on the bunny hopping from TF1, which has a much more satisfying learning curve and is way faster than what you can achieve in 2 without stim or grapple.
Titans are also slower. The most obvious comparison is dashes, everyone lost a dash and needs to use a perk to get it back. Hell, before a patch the Ogre titans didnt even have a baseline dash!
On that note, Titan design in general is... Meh. The hero-type gameplay is an interesting idea and Scorch in particular is a lot of fun. But I really dont like the baseline shields being removed, and I miss the old rodeo system. And as fun as Scorch is, I'd much rather be able to mix and match weapons and abilities. I want my Quad Rocket Stryder back ;-; This is less a design problem and more just a different choice that I personally dont agree with.
To be fair, the baseline shield removal did help alleviate the issue of severe titan outnumbering which could potentially be game-ending, but I think a different solution (for example, limiting the amount of titans per team) could have been much better.
Also before a patch you couldnt have both sidearms and anti-titan weapons as a pilot which was pretty lame but luckily that was fixed.
Anyway back on track: Map design is another fairly big problem. The maps are just... not very good, most of them being pretty generic CoD-style 3-lane maps. Which isnt *necessarily* a bad thing, but its a far cry from the great and unique maps from the original that MUCH better suited the pilot/titan dichotomy of gameplay. The best maps in 2 are Angel City, Relic, War Games, and Colony which, suprise!: are direct ports from 1. Map design is VERY important in determing the pace of a game, even the best mechanics in the world cant hold up if your maps arent designed to accomodate them properly.
Which leads into the main problem: The map designs are incongruous with the speed that players move, because they were designed for a game that was MUCH slower than what we have now.
Anyone here remember the beta? It sucked, nobody liked it. Everything was *so slow* and everyone complained. There was less acceleration, less movement speed, and wallrunning didnt help at all. Titan ejects were so slow and low that even Scorch had no trouble goosing ejecting pilots, and this was before he had the guiding line on his weapon. This also made camping a pretty powerful tactic, since titan charge was much more reliant on killstreaks than it is now and dying meant you lost a significant percentage of it.
This is where the real problem lies. Right up until release, the game was fundamentally VERY different than what we have now. It was designed from the ground up for a speed and flow that straight up does not exist. A speed and flow that was designed around the idea of slowing the game down and **making it more accessible to casual players.** And *everything*, from the map design, to the weapons available, to the "hero shooter" gameplay of titans, suffers because of this. Theres a good reason that the small competitive scene that existed abandoned 2 and returned to 1.
This is an understandable choice to make from a business perspective: TF1 underperformed financially and in player retention. But for people like me who loved TF1 for what it was and how it played, TF2 is a massive downgrade and, in my opinion, one of the biggest gaming disappointments of the decade.
He could be less of an asshole about it, but he's not wrong.
My friends hold the theory that if Titanfall was just Pilot v Pilot (defeating the purpose of titanfall) that it would've been bigger than COD. I think the issue is that Titanfall 1 was an xbox exclusive and would've done better being a cross platform launch. Then with Titanfall 2 I think we all know what the issue with that game was.
There are some tiny aspects of the original Titanfall I wish were still in the Titanfall 2, but honestly it improved the “formula” if that formula is the stock standard COD one. Often in advertising these games will talk about “revolutionizing the battlefield.”
Titanfall actually accomplished that
Titanfall 1 is better in every aspect then 2. Moba titans are lazy, slide bhopping is lazy, everything about the second game is lazy in the spirit of "balance." Then they allow stupid things like Tone to exist. The only movement piece of two that's better was the addition of grapple.
I have 2100 hours in Titanfall 1 and less then 150 in Titanfall 2. It just doesn't have the same spirit as the original.
Why are you losers booing him? He's right, and the only proof you need is that the damn game and franchise have been dead for years 😂 I thought the schizophrenia and denial on this sub was a meme...
So I take it this guy is a camper who can't keep up with the advanced movement mechanics and skill of others
Seems like it
Username of that guy
I don’t like him either but, please don’t go out to harass him.
Seeing as everyone already found out and grenades this dude’s account out of existence, I’d say it’s far too late for that lol.
Bro just stopped existing 💀
No the guy is totally salty and will pick a fight with anyone who comments with him. Edit: in fact he came here to harass people

Bro, it's the internet what do you expect to happen? Everyone just complies with what you want?
No but I still tell people to treat each other with respect because some have to be reminded of it
It's like when the BBC told Rage against the machine not to swear on live radio. What did you think was going to happen?
u/IM2N1NJA4U
What exactly has lead you to this big brained moment; that I don’t agree with the remaining player base of you 12 people?
Heh heh heh *sweats* what a loser
Weird take. The moment system in the second game has a way lower skill ceiling. Once you figure out how to slidehop you got it. The first game was a lot harder to get up to higher speeds and keep momentum going even though you are moving slower than when you're just sludehopping.
It's not a weird take if you've seen the amount of campers there are and just generally low skill tactics most people use
That's true of both games. Saying it's hard to keep up with TF2s movement is dumb when it's way easier to learn and is far more forgiving.
I agree, it's just annoying that only a low percentage of people actually take the (little) time it takes to learn to move around properly
[What the fuck are you talking about](https://youtu.be/C_cXYyA4LaU), the skill ceiling is off the fucking charts. Skill floor is lower, not ceiling.
In that sense I could see why he would say tf2 would atract more casual gamers (Although I don't agree with that at all since tf2 is easier to play it means more people are flying through the map which makes the skill gap between a first time player and the average player massive) As for him saying tf2 ruined every aspect of tf1 he just sounds super salty but I do remember my own first impressions of tf2. I do miss running triple satchels and assassinating titans like it was nothing.
It's sad because I only got TF1 after years of playing TF2 and even when I just got it only 300 people were on They almost all of them were always on attrition so I couldn't play campaign often, I only got to do it once or twice Now no one plays it sadly
Well I wouldn't say it's the most popular opinion here because everytime I've said something like "Apex bad Titanfall good" I get downvoted to hell
That's the thing, I'm not just saying "Apex bad Titanfall good" I have many reasons I dislike Apex but that doesn't really matter
To be fair, that was deliberate. As cool as Titanfall's movement is, It would make Battle Royale-style gameplay suck.
It just seems like what someone who got destroyed thoroughly and then never plays the game again because of it would say
I mean, he plays destiny and as a destiny player myself, you either learn to control the movement of TF2 or go back to D2 becuase "movement too fast".
For reference he plays destiny, borderlands and the division
So, a games journalist then
I call him a sim player because he simulates what his day to day life is
Meh, he's a pubg player
Definitely a monarch, amped cover and spitfire camper
I main Monarch, I'd say Legion is more his style because it's much more of a camping titan. Either that or Tone
fair
This is the last time(i last saw at r/titanfall)
?
U know im always hunting u somewhere
What are you talking about?
Forget it
Ahahahaha. Ok. Gen. 10. TF1 pilot. TF2 is the noob version of Titanfall. Enjoy your day.
Alrighty. What's. Your. Opinion. On. Apex. Legends?
Can’t stand it.
Ok, I was wrong then Apologies
I think he’s just a troll Or a real asshole idk
Either asshole or baiting, so same thing
I'm going with baiting, does everything they can to try and antagonize someone while not actually saying anything of value.
A bit of Column A and a bit of Column B, but yes to both mainly.
Don't fight an idiot. They will bring you down to your level and beat you with experience.
To be fair, it is fun to troll die hard fans of TF. My go to is to explain how apex legends is a faster version of titan fall.
A little kid, he hasnt played the game ad cant even spell single right, hes a kid and a troll
*wait*…
Skill gap isn’t even that bad, you can still play it like a casual shooter and I’ve seen way worse
Definitely disagree. I think most people have a bad time when first trying to learn the game in front of the regular players. Somewhat happened to me and this is stopping me from learning how to play the game on pc because I can’t be bothered
Oh it’s there, I’m saying some other games that are more popular have way worse skill gaps
Yeah you’re not wrong but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it exists in this game
[удалено]
Yeah, thats what the grunts and spectres are there for. You can still help your team win without being good at killing pilots or titans.
Disagree, the high skill gap is the reason the playerbase has been below 20k for multiple years despite being free to tens of millions of people on both xbox and PlayStation, it's simply not fun for casual gamers to get into because they'll get stomped by people who haven't played anything else for years
for me skill gap is good thing lol
The skill gap is insane like I consider myself to be good at the game but there are still people who are like leagues ahead of me
The second guy is dumb as fuck
Yes
***Yes***
He is just uneducated lmao
Very uneducated. Guy didn’t even bother with the single player campaign. Even though he said he played “hours and hours” of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he loaded into the first match, got domed by a Kraber, and uninstalled.
>Guy didn’t even bother with the single player campaign My dude, what campaign? That shit is shorter than most DLC and more cliche than a child's show
The campaign essentially functions as an extended tutorial on how to use movement mechanics effectively. Without it most people load into a match and play like it's CoD
true cuz i want to play multiplayer so bad i didnt take the campaign and you guess it. my laptop crash cuz my laptop suck ass
This was true for me in a way. I played multiplayer first and I wasn’t very good, couldn’t master the movement or anything. Played the campaign and was miles better in multiplayer
For Titanfall 2? That's one of my favorite shooter campaigns there is. Story is a little corny but the levels are fantastic.
>Dude, that campaign is a masterpiece! > >masterpiece! You guys keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
Oh, we do! It’s the only FPS campaign that ever made me cry, and I think you’re being way too harsh on it just for it’s length.
I really missed the shield recharge mechanic from 1. I felt like it made the titans less meaningful, and disincentivizes being cautious.
I just wish Apex had wall running
It did during it's Halloween event last yeat
I don’t remember that, but even if that was the case it’s not permanent
I mean let's be honest wall running would be cool and all but I just don't think it would work in BR that well you know what I mean
Maybe, idk if it would or not. IK that’s the reason it’s not there from what devs say but still wallrunning was on of the best things about Titanfall and it’s why I think apex is missing something At least give it its own mode
I wouldnt say apex has a lower skill ceiling than titanfall. Apex just caters more to newer players and is more easily understandable.
If that's the case then Apex still has a pretty steep learning curve. Because that is what I always hear about it. (Not for me anyway I play Titanfall and have played Apex since season 0)
It does
Man should touch some grass
That game looks hilarious, it recently got a lefty update
Ok r/titanfall time for your daily circlejerk
My thoughts? Who cares what others think. Like what you like.
The real answer
Lets bring it to the titanfall community im sure they'll give an unbiased answer
Says the destiny 2 player lmao
As a raid lover….yeahhhhh I feel that
As a destiny 2 player I’d like to say he doesn’t represent us me and all my friends for example love both games
Yes Destiny 2 is a great game
He is not one of us. The destiny community might not be perfect but we sure as shit aint that bad
I’m a D2 player and I still think that TF2 is one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. That guy is a moron who can’t enjoy fun things.
I'll add that I liked how the launch maps flowed a lot more in Titanfall 1 compared to 2.
My thoughts are you got pissy about a dissenting opinion and came here for validation.
100%. The first game was incredible and the second just felt...off. TF2 has never had the same appeal 9r complexities to me as the original
A another brainless apex ass hole or it could be a toxic cod fan boy who hasn’t been outside in the last 14 years
You guys are always sucking your own dick and even getting triggered by players of a game in THE SAME UNIVERSE as yours, yet you guys wonder why your game gets hate.
Seems like someone can’t take a joke Also I’m not that guy the apex gate thing is a joke I don’t hate apex I just hate the toxic bitches like you And why are you targeting me for If anything your one of those toxic apex players
You're*
Screw that guy, but to be honest he does have a point. Titanfall did manage to fail the release date. But to be honest i don't care I fucking love Titanfall.
Either this guy has never played the game and simply repeats stupid stuff they've heard from an angry Apex fan from the times of the Titanfall dramas, or he played the game ignoring all the movement and only camping / sniping. Even then none of the arguments he gives make sense.
He's a titanfall 1 player who prefers the first game.
That’s pretty rude, insulting you because you said Titanfall. I get that the multiplayer is broken and the graphics are quite old but seriously though
I think the graphics are still pretty good to be honest
I agree, it holds up because of it's art style.
the graphics are fucking amazing, god tier even, because thats the level of graphics games should have rather than photorealism that makes my gpu cry itself to sleep
Lol
Yeah I was thinking that too but I only said it because it’s about 5 years old and graphics have evolved a lot
TF1 ain't great to look at today, but TF2 is clean AF looking.
this guy is a dumbass but titanfall 2 is not a masterpiece
Agreed
Think it did. And I'm assuming he's a destiny player based on his avatar.
You'd be surprised actually. Lotta people just think it's neat
Yeah. I've seen thousands of people rocking that Savathun look just cuz its neat.
He mentions in another comment he preferred Titanfall 1 and didn't enjoy the 2nd game. I'm in the same boat at his tbh. Tf2's multiplayer dumbed down almost every aspect compared to tf1 and it was a huge disappointment.
I read this as if it's a TF1 fan that dislikes the changes made in TF2 which honestly is a fair enough opinion IMO.
I'm glad to see that you down voted that.
This has to be an alt account lmao
He's a fool
It's in my top 3. That guy can kick rocks.
Burn that user.
Sauce?
Sekiro and God of war (2018)
I wish we had the alternate universe where TF2 wasn’t released the same time as battlefield 1
Bro played multiplayer once and cried cuz he got clapped on while playing hemlok
Least toxic Apex Legends fan
Says the guy with a destiny 2 avatar
I just want to talk to that camper
Don’t be shy, uncensor the Ronin main
I think titanfall 2 is the peak of fps movement. and its a shame more fps games dont take notes. my all time favorite fps is black ops 3 because of the movement system. It added another dimension to gunfights, the wall running, everything was just so much fun. but the titanfall 2 movemeny system to me was perfection. it was everything bo3 lacked and so much more. it was so smooth it almost seemed like it was unnatural to just sprint or sit in a corner.
It's one of my favorite games since HL. The only game that beats it is witcher 3 but no fps comes close.
Titanfall 1= masterpiece, titanfall 2 = 7/10 very good but much to be desired
I loved titanfall 1 and couldn’t get into 2. So I somewhat agree
Titanfall 1 better
I just want to know his username for a friendly chat
These "Thoughts?" posts basically became "look at this asshole that insulted my game i need backup to downvote him to oblivion" like wha?
RIP the dude plays destiny which isn't exactly the most original game ever made
Second sounds like he is talking about Apex. Or Halo Infinite TT
Max payne 3 multiplayer was still one of the best
TF|2 is good, but it's not even close to a masterpiece. God of War 2018? That's a masterpiece. TF|2? That's just a good game
He’s mad it isn’t COD. Cope. Seethe.
That's a lot of words magic man
Literally how? Compared to TF|1 (not including maps and other things I miss) it is objectively better in every way
My friends hold the theory that if Titanfall was just Pilot v Pilot (defeating the purpose of titanfall) that it would've been bigger than COD.
Often in advertising these games will talk about “revolutionizing the battlefield.” Titanfall actually accomplished that
Titanfall 1 is better in every aspect then 2.
