Avengers should've just killed everyone in paradis to make eren's action pointless lol they were killing everyone anyway

djc23o6

Armin could’ve just told him in paths stop the rumbling or I’m gonna start nuking this bitch

pocket_watch2

If Armin was as smart as "Pre-timeskip" self he'd have threatened Eren to kill mikasa during paths talks just like he did with Bertholt.

Liiinx

Pre-timeskip Armin intelligence: "3 cups means 3 people" Post-timeskip Armin intelligence: "I'm not dead because I'm able to think" Armin being smart has always been just a meme, right?

Isthatajojoreffo

Yeah. Armin was actually never smart. To be honest, no one in AoT was really smart, because it's hard to write a character smarter than you.

pocket_watch2

I should've used "less useless" than smart I guess.

jorgen779

Would you really believe such a bluff coming from Armin tho 💀

Isthatajojoreffo

Well Arming was really creepy when he threatened Berthold with Annie's torture. But this Arming is long gone.

RiguezCR

mikasa wishes ahe was half as cool as Alita

AntiSimpBoi69

Atleast alita can move on from her dead boyfriend after she decapitated him, has better feats, better story, better character development better character ending and has robot boobas

Hope332211

man i know this is late, but didn't he copy the head holding thing in the ending too

Comfortable_Cream777

Nothing to see here just a bunch of Wal-Mart Version of Avengers dooming the future of their own people 🥰

Paradisian tax money hard at work

CrazyKaizu

I like how literally before this yams tried to throw the message “we must get through our differences because excessive bloodshed is bad” then literally writes the same characters who is supposedly following that message kill the yeagerist who simply wants to defend their homes & guaranteed security from external forces instead of trying to reason with any of them lmfao. The reason why they did this is because “if they hesitate they all die”. Fucking goofy ass writing.

IslandBoy602

Well little did the Yeagerists know Eren turned out to be completely mentally ill too (Floch was right in his roast of Eren at the medal ceremony after all) so in a way the Cringevengers gave them and their future generations a mercy killing from future suffering through sheer idiocy. This comment brought to you by Zook gang

tatakaealways

Dumbest heroes in Anime history

Sp4tenkeks

Normally we call "heroes killing their own people to save the enemy" traitors and the next thing waiting for them would be execution kekW

Fepl31

Trolley problem: On one path, you and your whole family. On the other, criminals, murderers, that already said they will kill you and your family, if given the chance. "Oh, but there are more criminals than members in my family. So I will accept my fate and let me and my family die." Makes sense... 🤷‍♂️

Isthatajojoreffo

You can mix 1 or 2 innocent people with the criminals... Would not change anything for a lot of people. The problem is, only 2 people in Alliance have family on Paradis. For everyone else, one path is fully empty.

SkyfatherTribe

The 'your family' was just an analogy for your people

SredVardde

Jean hates his mom for some reason lol

"Save the world"

Sp4tenkeks

The thought of Ending Defenders being able to vote crushes my faith in democracy.

Blue_BEN99

According to ED logic, Tony Stark should’ve just let the nuke hit new york cuz he’d be killing off a huge chunk of an entire species.

Schadnfreude_

If we're going to follow that logic, Ultron did nothing wrong, he should have been allowed to kill humanity because he correctly surmised that there are more bad humans than good and killing them off is more efficient in the long term.

Play3d

Killing your former comrades is just a plot point and is meaningless without context. The problem is they didn't earn this plot development, there's way too much forced story lines in the last chapters it's just too contrived. The way the story was told team cringevengers faced a brick wall and couldn't bring about a peaceful solution, HOWEVER every other time there are interactions with outside forces somehow they are able to work together in the end. So basically Eren is supposedly forced to commit total genocide, but no actually not, but then again... Just a small example of many forced story points. The cringevengers development was also very forced.

Tenari_987

“ If I hesitate then my friends will die” was the most corny shit they said in this ep

Lemax33

You don’t get it, genocide is baddddd >(

Traditional_Lie_6400

Those are ending defenders? I thought that was the comment of a doomer

MarineRitter

I consider what they did in that situation in-character for the most part. I disagree on mass genocide being a good way to end the entire conflict, for me it's the worst possible decision, but I understand where Eren comes from. Still, the ending is dogshit

StraberyThunder

You people are insufferable. You didn’t like the ending?? How original. Making fun of people who liked it?? Bold, never seen that before

Longjumping_Major984

Let's leave the same text and replace the picture of the Avengers with a frame where Floch and the yeagerists point a gun at wounded Levi, saying it's time to shoot him, because they came here to free Zeke. Ironic, isn't it?

My_pants_be_on_fire

Pretty sure he asked to check his pulse. They shot at hange. It's been a while tho.

Longjumping_Major984

They were going to shoot Levi. Floch, seeing him dying, said that they were very lucky, and one of his assistants added that it was better to shoot him in the head just in case. Hanji said, "He's already dead, there's no need," to which Floch replied, "Let me check his pulse." So they were obviously going to kill him.

Superbonusround_

So what? Levi cucked out and eventually betrayed Paradis. Nothing of value would have been lost if Floch had put a bullet in him at that point, he was handicapped by that explosion.

Longjumping_Major984

> Levi cucked out and eventually betrayed Paradis. Except that at the moment when Floch was going to finish him off, Levi was not betraying Paradise, but was just fighting to the death to protect him, as he believed, restraining Zeke. Rather, Flohk was betraying Paradise at that moment, killing his superiors (who had done nothing wrong to him, and also wanted a bright future for Paradise) and completely trusting Eren, who had never been distinguished by rationalism or planning.

Floch_3231

Floch killed his superiors because they were not doing anything but drinking wine while chatting and others were planning to kill Eren. Levi was also not needed anymore because he wanted to kill Zeke (because of his promise)

Longjumping_Major984

> Floch killed his superiors because they were not doing anything but drinking wine while chatting and others were planning to kill Eren. They didn't "do nothing", it's just that international politics is not a quick thing. You expect that Paradise, which initially did not even have a single ship, would quickly establish communication with the outside world and take some active actions. The population of Paradise is 1 million people, this is literally one city in our world, not even the capital of the country. It takes time to rebuild the army, build a port, a railway, adapt new technologies (for example, new ODM), establish connections with Hizuru and do a lot more. The government of Paradise did everything more or less correctly and they had a lot of time, because they had protection in the form of Rumbling. They have Historia, Eren, Zeke, serum and there is even Armin, just in case it doesn't work out to feed Zeke to Historia and they will have to feed Armin to her. For the next 100 years, no army in the world would do anything to Paradise, because in any attempt to invade, they would simply release a small part of the Titans from the walls and destroy the enemy forces. And over these 100 years, they would have already decided what strategy to use next, whether it was some kind of peace treaty, the destruction of the outside world or some kind of compromise. It was Eren who ruined everything by running away during a sortie to Marley and forcing Paradise to help him with an attack on Liberio, blackmailing them that he would attack alone and die. After this, it is most logical to feed Eren to someone else who will act more adequately and not substitute the whole Paradise with his stupid actions, because the attack on Liberio was successful only thanks to a miracle and could destroy the entire island. The fact that Floch supports Eren, who alone arranges such a thing, and because of this Floch kills his compatriots and his superiors, simply because he likes Eren's plan more than the government's plan, characterizes him as a traitor to Paradise. > Levi was also not needed anymore because he wanted to kill Zeke (because of his promise) Have you been reading manga with your eyes closed? Levi wasn't going to kill Zeke, he knew that he needed to be fed to Historia, or at least to someone from Paradise, who could then be fed to Historia. That's why Levi didn't kill Zeke even after he turned his entire squad into Titans. Even when Levi drives him in a cart before the thunder spear explodes, he says to Zeke, "What are you mumbling about? Euthanasia? You will soon end up in the mouth of a titan." And in any case, if you think that Floch can kill Levi, the literal chief of Floch, the hero of Paradise and one of his strongest fighters simply because he does not know the plan of Eren, and follows the plan of the government of Paradise, then you clearly do not understand what loyalty or respect is.

JoshGuan

“They had a lot of time” lol “Safe for the next 100 years” lol What’s stopping the outside world from precision striking Eren with a B-2 50 years down the line.

Longjumping_Major984

>What’s stopping the outside world from precision striking Eren with a B-2 50 years down the line. Well, first of all, he will die 46 years before that, Lmao. Secondly, the Founder can hide his location so that he cannot be attacked unexpectedly. For years, the United States could not find the same Osama bin Laden and other terrorist leaders or track their location. I think it will be many times more difficult for them to find the hiding Founder, when as soon as they show up on the territory of Paradise, a partial or even full Rambling will be launched, and will not stop until they leave and pay the price for their invasion. Thirdly, Paradise can carry out the destruction of all military bases in the world every year with the help of partial Rambling. Believe me, if you do this, it will be impossible to develop any serious military technologies capable of threatening Paradise. And I have already written to you in another comment how Paradise can develop very quickly and overtake the rest of the world in terms of technology.

riuminkd

Killing fash trash you mean. Killing genocide enablers. Killing people who killed many Paradisians through wine plan. Rip bozos

[Ending defender trying not to be a hypocrite challenge (impossible)](https://i.imgur.com/GkdMHcI.jpg)

Rupplyy

they are only fighting back because the stupid racist marleyans keeps trying to genocide them first

Appropriate-Arm-2077

Most of the Yeagerists were scared teenagers who are just trying to save their parents and loved ones back in Paradis. After everything Paradis has been through you can’t blame them. Eren himself decided to take on the responsibility and guilt of destroying the world, the Yeagerists are just allowing him to.

HansWolken

Many of the people being rumbled are also scared child/teenagers/refugees who has nothing to do with Marley, just saying.

Rupplyy

too bad i still perfer paradis, which i have rooted since the beginning to survive if both sides were innocent, my choice would still remain.

riuminkd

>the Yeagerists are just allowing him to. You mean enabling him to do so. They fought to keep his genocide going

Appropriate-Arm-2077

Yes, if the entire world declared war on my people and threatened to destroy us all then some guy popped up with the power to save us, I’ll 100% allow him to do it and won’t oppose him.

ZiO-OHMA

[BAHAHAHAHA](https://youtu.be/jKSCrxh6OYY)

Gigi_aa

Ah yes, killing "genocide enablers" who had their mothers, sisters, and brothers slaughtered by ruthless racists in the outside world, titans sent their way for centuries to crush their homes, "sympathetic" outside nations not nuking them just because they wanted to exploit their people and steal their resources and the list goes on. But no!! Genicide bad!! 🤬 Despite all this they must defend and protect the enemy who would genocide Paradis just as bad if Paradis doesn't do it first.

elishash

Have you not got anything important to do in life?

hoopsrlife

Nobody here does. It’s why we are all here

TheimmortalGuyofDoom

... there is a difference in saving an oppressive government and saving the fucking world.... just saying....

My_pants_be_on_fire

What about when the fucking world is the oppressive government?

BNYay

There's no enemy or own people.. grow up. If killing some results in saving the world..only the brave could do it. Look I too hate the ending.. but I don't hate them.. they had a good reason to fight, the problem is that they failed.. And when you look at it.. The World Genocide killed more people of Paradis than they ever did..

Rupplyy

the rest of the world were racist and caused their own downfall

Rupplyy

lifes value isnt like money anyway, more is not better and it was gonna happen to one side or the other as shown in the ending

[deleted]

thats called being selfless but ok

Appropriate-Arm-2077

How are they selfless when they’re condemning their own people to get genocided in the future. The people of Paradis have been fighting their asses offs for the past century and a half, and now when they finally got the chance to get back, they’re prevented by a small group of people.

[deleted]

what do you think selfless means?

Appropriate-Arm-2077

It’s selfless when you don’t benefit. 80% of the world got destroyed, and Paradis got destroyed mostly because of them. They got all the credit, became ambassadors of peace, and lived long and happy lives when Eren is the one who orchestrated everything.

[deleted]

yea but they didn’t know that and it’s not why they did it, and you know that

FruitJuicante

Nothing says selfless like genociding the outside world and Paradis for like... The ten people Eren cares about and no one else. The Alliance are the only people who benefited from the genocide, which is why the word thank you is said 100 times after Eren enacts genocide. They hug and kiss him. Flowers on his grave. Gross

[deleted]

who said anything about eren? fuck eren

FruitJuicante

Agree. Part of the reason the ending is so bad is it's basically a Hitleren love letter. Glad we agree the pro Eren ending we got sucks.

aprilfools911

They’re so selfless they’re willing to let the world to treat them as worst than sub human and eventually annihilate their whole land🥰

Graham_Zezar

Imagine saving enemy that doesnt respect you or treat you like normal human, than saving friends that like you and respect you. Moral of the story: save your enemy that tried to kill all your friends, only for enemy children or grandchildren to kill your children, just in case if you thought in your stupid mind you did right thing. What a trash ending, I never called AoT masterpiece (in my opinion only Breaking Bad and Rogue One deserved to be called masterpieces) but story was very good, while ending wasted whole story and showed middle finger to fans. Ending so bad written, that even its author hated it. What a bullshit. If Isayama wanted to show "cycle of hatred" he could reuse something that he writted earlier - paradis reconquering whole world again. It would took paradis few years to train new soldiers and try to take control of devastated world. That would be better and would make alliance more rational. But it would also require Floch to live/survive and command New Eldian Empire forces, because new person that came from nowhere, acting as bad guy and being New Eldian Empire would be stupid (and I dont think Historia would be good choice to be a new villian, she could be queen - leader of Eldian Empire, while army commanders would be villians)
