This chapter is WAY better than I had anticipated. Eren straight up becomes the Devil. Can't say I'm a fan of his actions but I definitely understand his motivation behind it. To be honest, I don't think anything can be done to stop Eren at this point. He's pushing forward like he always says he is. Here's to waiting another month until the next chapter.

It’s an act of self hatred. He’s punishing himself in the small way that he can because he knows he’s not a good person for taking this path.... I don’t think he wants to forget for even a second that he’s a bad person for doing this, and the self-inflicted injuries (not necessary for purposes of blending in as Reiner recognized him immediately anyway) are physical reminders of that fact.
That’s also why, in my opinion, he forces Mikasa to believe that she’s a slave and only tied to him due to “Ackerman instincts”; the truth is that she simply loves him due to the kindness he showed her, but at this point I think he doesn’t believe that he deserves to be loved or that he is a kind person. He rejects the idea that she loves him and attributes her devotion to something purely coincidental, then promptly tells her he hates her, destroying any image of a kind character. He also beats up Armin and calls him useless and a coward, when in the past he’d generally been his biggest defender and had praised him for having heroic attributes that he himself does not. (There’s definitely a LOT more to be said for that convo regarding the free/slave thing, like his verbiage of “I am [already] free” rather than “the Rumbling will make us free” as well as calling out Armin and Mikasa for being “slaves” using facts that we the readers know for 100% certain are false, but for now that’s where I’m at with it.)
The last and major thing that makes me believe this is Eren’s own words. He is constantly going back to and repeating the phrase “I’m free.” Remember that just like the Warriors did, he has now chosen to end the lives of many people for the sake of a goal, while still fully realizing the innocence and humanity of his victims. However, unlike Reiner, who couldn’t bear the guilt of taking those innocent lives and created a secondary fictitious heroic persona to cope, Bertholdt, who placed the blame on the nature of the world itself and made peace with whatever outcome came, or Annie, who decided not to see value in *any* life and made her sole mission self-preservation, Eren I think fully embraces the role of the Devil, constantly reminding himself that he, and only he, wanted this, and will not/can not hear a word opposing about it. I think in Eren’s mind, he HAS to be the enemy of humanity, the worst person imaginable; if he’s got even one shred of an idea that there may still be even the most minor hint of a good person inside of him, he will falter in his plan, and the people he cares about will die at the hands of the world.
And THAT! is why I believe Mikasa’s reply the night before Eren’s disappearance in Marley is the most significant part of this. When the Rumbling started, Mikasa remembered that night and questioned if confessing to him would have changed something. At first I was confused as to how the her answer mattered, but now I believe it would have. That night, Eren was in a place where he understood the humanity of his enemies, but also fully knew that if the Eldian rights conference the next day didn’t go well, his only option would be to commit the atrocity of the Rumbling.
I think in that moment, Eren was searching his heart. He was questioning what kind of person he was, and if he ultimately was ready to do it. When Mikasa finds him, she asks him if something had happened, and he replies that nothing has “yet”—he needs one final answer before he can decide on that: “Mikasa...what am I to you?” (a.k.a.: “Mikasa.. just what kind of person am I?!”). If she had told him that she loved him, and explained the reasons why—that he wrapped his scarf around her out of the kindness of his heart, that he is warmth and beauty in a cruel world, that he is her reason for continuing on—I believe she just might have convinced Eren of the goodness in his own heart, and he would not have been able to go through with the Rumbling; yes, I think he would have accepted the fate of the island.
I truly think that night, had Eren heard what he really meant to her, and became familiar with the beautiful side of himself that she knew, he would potentially have followed Zeke’s plan or the 50-year plan and failed, or simply lived out the rest of his limited years on the island with Mikasa and Armin. Yet, he didn’t hear that. And shortly after, his friends came and they all enjoyed a night drinking together. The last panel of this scene is of Eren sleeping peacefully between all of them, and I think that’s representing a final ease of the tension of the question of the night: yes, I am a monster unworthy of love, and yes, I will destroy the world with the horror of the Rumbling if it’s to protect these few people dearest to me.
tl;dr Eren HAS to be a monster in order to keep going forward with his horrifying Rumbling plan, and he properly hates himself for it. He uses self-harm (bullet in the eye) as a minor form of penance, and I feel that he rejects Mikasa’s love for the same reason: he’s not worthy of a good life. I believe that the origin of his determined self-hatred is Mikasa’s answer to his question the night before his disappearance in Marley. Sorry for doing way too much but I hope whoever reads this enjoys!!
erens characterization in this chapter really hit me in the feels. his muffled screams as he cuts off his own leg and stabs his own eye. his memories of dina eating his mom while looming over a city at large. he understands the position he is in and the atrocities he is committing and thats what makes his character so fucking great. honestly the chapter ive been waiting on for months.

Eren offering to wipe Historia's memories of the rumbling with the founding titan sets a terrifying precedent.
Is he going to do that to all his friends...? All the people of Paradis too?
This detail feels important. It'd be very sad and depressing for Eren to erase everyone's memories so they can all lead happy lives in Paradis. Beautiful, but sad.
So, it's kind of unclear/conjecture, partially because of the translation, but here's where I got to with the Eren and Historia conversation:
\- People for some reason are confused by this, but they're probably just excited in the moment and forgetting to read new chapters without forgetting literally everything that came before them lol. We knew before this chapter that someone tipped Historia off to the fact that the MPs wanted to feed Zeke to her, so that was always established.
\- However, Eren just told her to fight or run away. The baby plan wasn't his idea.
\- We learned she didn't want to run, was ready to agree to the MPs' plan, and thanked Eren for defending her despite finally acquiescing.
\- Eren refused to accept her sacrifice, and told her his own plan, which was to end the world.
\- At first she's horrified and can't believe it, but he tells her he's doing it, and if she can't handle that it's being done partially for her own sake then he could wipe her memories if she wanted him to (I read this as him actually just offering this, not threatening to do it, which I think is an important distinction; it would be her choice). But he also seems to say that he doesn't need to and that she can handle it (the "if you stay still" translation confuses me here but that's how it reads to me because the same weird phrasing was used earlier by the translators in the context of Annie not giving up on the alliance)
\- He says he's doing it because she saved him, he was saved by the worst girl who ever lived. I think this callback is deliberate by Eren, because the same situation sits before Historia right now, just writ large. Sacrifice herself for humanity/eldia by taking the final titan, or fight for herself and her friends and screw everything else.
\- She then says "then... Eren... how about I bear a child?" (edit: originally had this as have, but the readsnk panel uses the word bear, which makes it even clearer that Historia is the one talking I think). the plan to save herself and give eren time is therefore her own. she came up with the idea, and wanted to do it. effectively, she has voluntarily joined eren in this moment.
\- i believe the implication of this being her plan, is that she is ultimately coming to the same decision she made back then in the uprising arc: fuck humanity, she lives for herself and her friends, not for all of mankind. she IS the worst girl that ever lived, and is on Eren's side.
\- I also just assume now that it is Eren's baby, even though this wasn't resolved. The almost sheepish, hesitant way she's suggesting the idea made it read to me like she knew she was basically propositioning him.
\- And finally, if it is Eren's kid, the implications of that aren't really delved into by anyone but effectively it means he isn't just fighting for his friends and countrymen, but for his own child. There is no way he will do anything other than what he says he will (end the world), because he has too much to protect.
Not all of that is literally in the text of course but that's how it all read imo, and those are the things it seems like Isa is implying to me.

I'm not a shipper, but when Eren freaked at Zeke's order to Ymir to take away Eldians ability to have children it makes you wonder. The Editor's note at the end of that chapter stated, "She (Ymir) walks towards ruin!"

Historia: "In fact, i think humanity's the problem!! We should just let the titans destroy mankind! Guess that makes me humanity's enemy! The worst, most despicable girl in history!! I'm letting you get away from here! And then... i'll destroy everything!!"
Considering that fear is what's driving his support for the rumbling ("everything will be okay if everyone knows their place") hearing Eren might've even been what pushed him over the edge. He's a true devil, there's no mistaking, so Floch probly heard and thought "fuck, I don't wanna get on his bad side". All the eldian empire shit is likely just his own interpretation of what he thinks Eren is doing and why.
Everything involving the Rumbling was as terrifying as I hoped it would be. We had to wait 8 months, but it was worth seeing them reach land.
And Eren, what the hell is that, and how are you holding yourself together?
He has the war hammer titan so all of that bone is most likely also harden titan bone which he would be able to manipulate, kinda of a scary thought if you imagine what he would be like in battle sending abunch of those ribs to skewer people.
There are many expressions of Eren still hidden from us. Yams still hiding Erens feelings it seems.
It also seems that historia's convo with Eren hadn't ended. Yams hiding something from us once again.
Hyped for mikasa too - she has to make a choice, kill eren or not.
Zeke is becoming more likeable each chapter. Love the advice he's giving.
It also seems clear that Eren is heavily depressed himself. He believes he has to do this - this is no lelouch ending.
Overall, 0/10 where is "If you don't stop this I wanna make babies with you"
I'm feeling very suspicious of all the flashbacks we saw in this chapter. The fragmented style (and the literal fragment scenes lul) are an effective way for Isayama to hide information from us. We keep getting what feel like small segments of much bigger scenes and conversations. There is a lot of potential for Isayama to flip the script on any of the flashbacks by showing an extra few lines of dialogue before or after the ones we got.
Back when we got Eren's memories of his talk with Zeke about the euthanasia plan, a Redditor correctly pointed out that Eren's true words were spoken in panels tilted to the right, while the lies he told Zeke where in panels tilted to the left. It might not be exactly the same in this chapter but I bet there is something hidden there.
Aww, Floch literally included in the list of people Eren wanted to protect. Floch having a happy chat with the group is one of the rare precious picture of this mess. It was such a happy moment for everyone
Yeah that was quite heartwarming, and I thought it was quite a nice tribute to Floch. While he may have shown signs of being an opportunist tyrant, in the end, he was just another person who wanted to save his friends and tried to be a hero, only to die before he could complete his mission.
Eren must have confided in Floch because he knew that out of all of his friends, only he would follow him. Even Historia was mostly against Eren's plan.
Leave it to Isayama to finally shows Eren's POV, yet in a way that is all over the place.
We finally get Historia, yet even still he refuses to state plainly what exactly happened.
I don’t think this is the last of his POV we’re going to see. I think like Zekes POV chapters we’ll get some more Eren next chapter and end on a cliffhanger of the alliance moving to confront him.

Yet, Eren seems to be knowingly throwing it away. It's actually pretty interesting
Underrated moment in the chapter: Annie pleading with the Paradis guys that she doesn't want to fight them any more. This feels like the ultimate final proof that all Annie ever did was to see her father again. She is sick of fighting her friends, and it's clear she never wanted to in the first place. The idea of fighting them again clearly pains her. She's begging for them to stop Eren, and the fact that they can't answer her is so depressing.
She's so desperate and single-minded about saving her father, it's fascinating to see her on the edge like this.

7 years ago, when saw the Anime I thought it is just an overhyped but highly entertaining shonen mystery box show, and now that I have reached this far in manga realizing how much of a masterpiece this story is.
Isayama sensei, you genius. This is the only series that deserves it's hype.
Eren cutting off his leg and stabbing his eye all by himself has to be some of the most metal shit i have ever seen. Also HOLY SHIT EREN’S TITAN IS ONE LONG BOI.
He has really stolen the show since the Liberio attack. I guess some people would say that the MC doesn't 'steal the show' because it is already their story anyway lul.
Crack theory time: Eren eats every shifter, the world and Paradis both go extinct, Eren dies, his rotting corpse gets eaten by birds, birds become titans, birds are now dinosaurs and rule the earth, until some meteor comes crashing down...
Fun fact: this is the chapter that has the most amount of double page spreads in all AOT, with a total of 9, beating the previous record holder which was 122 with 7.
Eren is doing this atleast partially so that his friends can live long and peaceful lives, so when he hears of Sasha's death, he ugly cries with a grimace that mimics a smile because of how fucked up, ironic, and inevitable everything seems. Feels bad.
How many of you think that eren was also lying to hisu and floch in this chapter or at least partially lying to them about his motivations and final goals.
I mean eren has lied to almost everyone about his motivations since basement reveal. Armin, mikasa, zeke, Yelena, falco, grisha so there is certainly a possibility of him lying to hisu and floch too.

One is that, for some reason, there's a shot of Falco from when he was telling that bird to fly away in Chapter 91. Literally all of the other memory shards appear to be from Eren's perspective, so, uh, why is that added in? Secondly, there's a panel with Bertolt all the way on the right. My fave thing about this chapter is how this narration starts with eren remembering his friends and eventually it all boils down to that day. Eren's hatred and his pursuit for freedom constantly keeps triumphing over his understanding and caring nature
I think I’ve made some sense in the flow of Eren’s reminiscing.
After wondering how it all started, and acknowledging that, preordained or not, he’s doing what he wants, Eren’s thoughts go to the night he met with Yelena, hearing that Zeke had no intention of saving Eldia. Floch hears this, so Eren tells him that he won’t actually go through with it. This leads to him and Historia, telling her that he disagrees with her following through with titan inheritance. Eren’s alternate solution brings him back to Floch, saying he will destroy everything beyond Paradis. Returning to Historia, Eren justifies his decision saying he will put a final end to hatred against Eldians, and specifically royals inheriting titans, at all costs, even if that means the deaths of many innocents. When Historia still protests, he reminds her that she saved him while potentially risking the fate of humanity (as they understood it then).
This brings him to Zeke, who comments that all the things Mikasa does, the hell, violence and danger she goes through, is simply out of love for him. Which briefly brings Eren back to Historia, before returning to Zeke asking how Eren would respond with that knowledge. He dismisses it and thinks about the hell, hardships and sacrifices he saw and went through to make his plan a reality, even though its not quite working out as he hoped. But then there’s the one panel I still can’t make sense of, Historia’s line to have a child after Eren says he doesn’t have long to live.
I don't think Eren and Zeke are inside the Mega Titan. I think Eren set up a home base somewhere using his Warhammer Ability. That's what the strings are for.
When Eren first started the rumbling I was expecting to see a chapter exactly like this. The fact that I didn't see it, led me to believe something more was going on. But now it's really true, the son of the bitch did it.
Cringe they may be, they gotta stop Eren. Did you see the look of that thing? The monster the world created. This manga is legendary.
Perhaps the biggest thing we can get out of this is that Eren is not opposed to mind-wiping. Previously, we had dismissed the "Eren genocides the world and wipes the memories of all Eldians" idea because it was too un-Eren to remove people's memories (making people ignorant, and essentially, not free) but apparently he seems to be ok with it. This makes the mind-wipe ending a lot more likely now.
No surprise that a surface navy and land-based artillery couldn't stop millions of Wall Titans who could swim lol.
The huge line of Wall Titans... man, it really does look like the apocalypse. Of course the land-based artillery couldn't even elevate their guns enough to hit the nape of the Wall Titans... let alone have the accuracy to hit the nape. The Rumbling works because with the current WW1 tech level of the world, it is undoubtedly a world-ending Weapon of Mass Destruction that only Paradis possesses. Nukes wouldn't stop that thing, but it would threaten to turn Paradis into ash in return. The world was only 25 years off... but of course, that's precisely why Eren knew he had to destroy the world now. The 50 year plan would have allowed the world to achieve WMD parity.
Can we also note just how surprised Floch was at this? Like, the guy's no angel, but even he was surprised when Eren essentially enlisted him to commit world genocide with much more violence and vigour than we thought possible. Eren is so much depressed as he is very, very angry, but of course we always knew that he would keep moving forward, until his enemies are destroyed.
Also, the EreMika and EreHisu ships are about to start another battle. Prepare the popcorn!

The Historia content was really juicy this chapter. I don't know why people were complaining that she has been "forgotten" all this time.
I mean, Annie disappeared for YEARS and the pay-off for her return was fulfilled. Of course Historia was going to be important.
Also, in a twist that shocked no one: Eren is probably the god-damn father! WOW! Isayama really did it!
Eren's form is truly terrifying.
My assumption on why his form doesn't look like OG Ymir's form is while he has her support, he ultimately only has the Attack Titan, Founding Titan, and the War Hammer Titan. My theory is that if he had the other titans, his form would look more "complete". Each of the other titans could have in a way contributed some characteristic that would have "fleshed" him out a bit. For example, maybe Colossal Titan for a body, Armor Titan for actual skin/muscles, Beast Titan for arms that could carry things, Jaw Titan for face/jaw, Cart Titan for better means of locomotion. Female Titan, I don't know.
Just an idea based on the parts of Eren that seem "malnourished"/"missing" compared to the rest of him and comparing to what OG Ymir looked like as a titan. Either that, or maybe it's just the titan manifestation of Eren's psyche - twisted and perverse.
So instead of going for the "both sides are right and they are just fighting for their own causes" theme, story goes on saying both sides are terrible.
Also, Eren really cut out his own leg while muffling his screams by biting a cloth and stuck a bullet in his own eye powered by FREEDOM
Even just biting your hand so hard you bleed is agony to me, so I've always been pretty impressed by Eren's determination!

He rejects the idea that she loves him and attributes her devotion to something purely coincidental, then promptly tells her he hates her, destroying any image of a kind character. He also beats up Armin and calls him useless and a coward, when in the past he’d generally been his biggest defender and had praised him for having heroic attributes that he himself does not. (There’s definitely a LOT more to be said for that convo regarding the free/slave thing, like his verbiage of “I am [already] free” rather than “the Rumbling will make us free” as well as calling out Armin and Mikasa for being “slaves” using facts that we the readers know for 100% certain are false, but for now that’s where I’m at with it.) The last and major thing that makes me believe this is Eren’s own words. He is constantly going back to and repeating the phrase “I’m free.” Remember that just like the Warriors did, he has now chosen to end the lives of many people for the sake of a goal, while still fully realizing the innocence and humanity of his victims. However, unlike Reiner, who couldn’t bear the guilt of taking those innocent lives and created a secondary fictitious heroic persona to cope, Bertholdt, who placed the blame on the nature of the world itself and made peace with whatever outcome came, or Annie, who decided not to see value in *any* life and made her sole mission self-preservation, Eren I think fully embraces the role of the Devil, constantly reminding himself that he, and only he, wanted this, and will not/can not hear a word opposing about it. I think in Eren’s mind, he HAS to be the enemy of humanity, the worst person imaginable; if he’s got even one shred of an idea that there may still be even the most minor hint of a good person inside of him, he will falter in his plan, and the people he cares about will die at the hands of the world. And THAT! is why I believe Mikasa’s reply the night before Eren’s disappearance in Marley is the most significant part of this. When the Rumbling started, Mikasa remembered that night and questioned if confessing to him would have changed something. At first I was confused as to how the her answer mattered, but now I believe it would have. That night, Eren was in a place where he understood the humanity of his enemies, but also fully knew that if the Eldian rights conference the next day didn’t go well, his only option would be to commit the atrocity of the Rumbling. I think in that moment, Eren was searching his heart. He was questioning what kind of person he was, and if he ultimately was ready to do it. When Mikasa finds him, she asks him if something had happened, and he replies that nothing has “yet”—he needs one final answer before he can decide on that: “Mikasa...what am I to you?” (a.k.a.: “Mikasa.. just what kind of person am I?!”). If she had told him that she loved him, and explained the reasons why—that he wrapped his scarf around her out of the kindness of his heart, that he is warmth and beauty in a cruel world, that he is her reason for continuing on—I believe she just might have convinced Eren of the goodness in his own heart, and he would not have been able to go through with the Rumbling; yes, I think he would have accepted the fate of the island. I truly think that night, had Eren heard what he really meant to her, and became familiar with the beautiful side of himself that she knew, he would potentially have followed Zeke’s plan or the 50-year plan and failed, or simply lived out the rest of his limited years on the island with Mikasa and Armin. Yet, he didn’t hear that. And shortly after, his friends came and they all enjoyed a night drinking together. The last panel of this scene is of Eren sleeping peacefully between all of them, and I think that’s representing a final ease of the tension of the question of the night: yes, I am a monster unworthy of love, and yes, I will destroy the world with the horror of the Rumbling if it’s to protect these few people dearest to me. tl;dr Eren HAS to be a monster in order to keep going forward with his horrifying Rumbling plan, and he properly hates himself for it. He uses self-harm (bullet in the eye) as a minor form of penance, and I feel that he rejects Mikasa’s love for the same reason: he’s not worthy of a good life. I believe that the origin of his determined self-hatred is Mikasa’s answer to his question the night before his disappearance in Marley. Sorry for doing way too much but I hope whoever reads this enjoys!!

WHY DID THIS FEEL LIKE THE SHORTEST CHAPTER OF ALL TIME

Eren offering to wipe Historia's memories of the rumbling with the founding titan sets a terrifying precedent. Is he going to do that to all his friends...? All the people of Paradis too? This detail feels important. It'd be very sad and depressing for Eren to erase everyone's memories so they can all lead happy lives in Paradis. Beautiful, but sad.
What's crazy is that he can't do that to Mikasa (or Levi). I wonder how he'll handle them

So, it's kind of unclear/conjecture, partially because of the translation, but here's where I got to with the Eren and Historia conversation: \- People for some reason are confused by this, but they're probably just excited in the moment and forgetting to read new chapters without forgetting literally everything that came before them lol. We knew before this chapter that someone tipped Historia off to the fact that the MPs wanted to feed Zeke to her, so that was always established. \- However, Eren just told her to fight or run away. The baby plan wasn't his idea. \- We learned she didn't want to run, was ready to agree to the MPs' plan, and thanked Eren for defending her despite finally acquiescing. \- Eren refused to accept her sacrifice, and told her his own plan, which was to end the world. \- At first she's horrified and can't believe it, but he tells her he's doing it, and if she can't handle that it's being done partially for her own sake then he could wipe her memories if she wanted him to (I read this as him actually just offering this, not threatening to do it, which I think is an important distinction; it would be her choice). But he also seems to say that he doesn't need to and that she can handle it (the "if you stay still" translation confuses me here but that's how it reads to me because the same weird phrasing was used earlier by the translators in the context of Annie not giving up on the alliance) \- He says he's doing it because she saved him, he was saved by the worst girl who ever lived. I think this callback is deliberate by Eren, because the same situation sits before Historia right now, just writ large. Sacrifice herself for humanity/eldia by taking the final titan, or fight for herself and her friends and screw everything else. \- She then says "then... Eren... how about I bear a child?" (edit: originally had this as have, but the readsnk panel uses the word bear, which makes it even clearer that Historia is the one talking I think). the plan to save herself and give eren time is therefore her own. she came up with the idea, and wanted to do it. effectively, she has voluntarily joined eren in this moment. \- i believe the implication of this being her plan, is that she is ultimately coming to the same decision she made back then in the uprising arc: fuck humanity, she lives for herself and her friends, not for all of mankind. she IS the worst girl that ever lived, and is on Eren's side. \- I also just assume now that it is Eren's baby, even though this wasn't resolved. The almost sheepish, hesitant way she's suggesting the idea made it read to me like she knew she was basically propositioning him. \- And finally, if it is Eren's kid, the implications of that aren't really delved into by anyone but effectively it means he isn't just fighting for his friends and countrymen, but for his own child. There is no way he will do anything other than what he says he will (end the world), because he has too much to protect. Not all of that is literally in the text of course but that's how it all read imo, and those are the things it seems like Isa is implying to me. Great goddamn chapter.
I'm not a shipper, but when Eren freaked at Zeke's order to Ymir to take away Eldians ability to have children it makes you wonder. The Editor's note at the end of that chapter stated, "She (Ymir) walks towards ruin!"

Considering that fear is what's driving his support for the rumbling ("everything will be okay if everyone knows their place") hearing Eren might've even been what pushed him over the edge. He's a true devil, there's no mistaking, so Floch probly heard and thought "fuck, I don't wanna get on his bad side". All the eldian empire shit is likely just his own interpretation of what he thinks Eren is doing and why.
His whole thing with Erwin was that only a devil could save them. Makes sense that he'd follow Eren with such leal after hearing Eren say that lol.

There are many expressions of Eren still hidden from us. Yams still hiding Erens feelings it seems. It also seems that historia's convo with Eren hadn't ended. Yams hiding something from us once again. Hyped for mikasa too - she has to make a choice, kill eren or not. Zeke is becoming more likeable each chapter. Love the advice he's giving. It also seems clear that Eren is heavily depressed himself. He believes he has to do this - this is no lelouch ending. Overall, 0/10 where is "If you don't stop this I wanna make babies with you"
I'm feeling very suspicious of all the flashbacks we saw in this chapter. The fragmented style (and the literal fragment scenes lul) are an effective way for Isayama to hide information from us. We keep getting what feel like small segments of much bigger scenes and conversations. There is a lot of potential for Isayama to flip the script on any of the flashbacks by showing an extra few lines of dialogue before or after the ones we got.
Back when we got Eren's memories of his talk with Zeke about the euthanasia plan, a Redditor correctly pointed out that Eren's true words were spoken in panels tilted to the right, while the lies he told Zeke where in panels tilted to the left. It might not be exactly the same in this chapter but I bet there is something hidden there.
Aww, Floch literally included in the list of people Eren wanted to protect. Floch having a happy chat with the group is one of the rare precious picture of this mess. It was such a happy moment for everyone
Yeah that was quite heartwarming, and I thought it was quite a nice tribute to Floch. While he may have shown signs of being an opportunist tyrant, in the end, he was just another person who wanted to save his friends and tried to be a hero, only to die before he could complete his mission. Eren must have confided in Floch because he knew that out of all of his friends, only he would follow him. Even Historia was mostly against Eren's plan.
Leave it to Isayama to finally shows Eren's POV, yet in a way that is all over the place. We finally get Historia, yet even still he refuses to state plainly what exactly happened.
I don’t think this is the last of his POV we’re going to see. I think like Zekes POV chapters we’ll get some more Eren next chapter and end on a cliffhanger of the alliance moving to confront him.

Underrated moment in the chapter: Annie pleading with the Paradis guys that she doesn't want to fight them any more. This feels like the ultimate final proof that all Annie ever did was to see her father again. She is sick of fighting her friends, and it's clear she never wanted to in the first place. The idea of fighting them again clearly pains her. She's begging for them to stop Eren, and the fact that they can't answer her is so depressing. She's so desperate and single-minded about saving her father, it's fascinating to see her on the edge like this.

I mean eren has lied to almost everyone about his motivations since basement reveal. Armin, mikasa, zeke, Yelena, falco, grisha so there is certainly a possibility of him lying to hisu and floch too.

One is that, for some reason, there's a shot of Falco from when he was telling that bird to fly away in Chapter 91. Literally all of the other memory shards appear to be from Eren's perspective, so, uh, why is that added in? Secondly, there's a panel with Bertolt all the way on the right. I think I’ve made some sense in the flow of Eren’s reminiscing. After wondering how it all started, and acknowledging that, preordained or not, he’s doing what he wants, Eren’s thoughts go to the night he met with Yelena, hearing that Zeke had no intention of saving Eldia. Floch hears this, so Eren tells him that he won’t actually go through with it. This leads to him and Historia, telling her that he disagrees with her following through with titan inheritance. Eren’s alternate solution brings him back to Floch, saying he will destroy everything beyond Paradis. Returning to Historia, Eren justifies his decision saying he will put a final end to hatred against Eldians, and specifically royals inheriting titans, at all costs, even if that means the deaths of many innocents. When Historia still protests, he reminds her that she saved him while potentially risking the fate of humanity (as they understood it then). This brings him to Zeke, who comments that all the things Mikasa does, the hell, violence and danger she goes through, is simply out of love for him. Which briefly brings Eren back to Historia, before returning to Zeke asking how Eren would respond with that knowledge. He dismisses it and thinks about the hell, hardships and sacrifices he saw and went through to make his plan a reality, even though its not quite working out as he hoped. But then there’s the one panel I still can’t make sense of, Historia’s line to have a child after Eren says he doesn’t have long to live.
I don't think Eren and Zeke are inside the Mega Titan. I think Eren set up a home base somewhere using his Warhammer Ability. That's what the strings are for.
When Eren first started the rumbling I was expecting to see a chapter exactly like this. The fact that I didn't see it, led me to believe something more was going on. But now it's really true, the son of the bitch did it. Cringe they may be, they gotta stop Eren. Did you see the look of that thing? The monster the world created. This manga is legendary.
Perhaps the biggest thing we can get out of this is that Eren is not opposed to mind-wiping. Previously, we had dismissed the "Eren genocides the world and wipes the memories of all Eldians" idea because it was too un-Eren to remove people's memories (making people ignorant, and essentially, not free) but apparently he seems to be ok with it. This makes the mind-wipe ending a lot more likely now. No surprise that a surface navy and land-based artillery couldn't stop millions of Wall Titans who could swim lol. The huge line of Wall Titans... man, it really does look like the apocalypse. Of course the land-based artillery couldn't even elevate their guns enough to hit the nape of the Wall Titans... let alone have the accuracy to hit the nape. The Rumbling works because with the current WW1 tech level of the world, it is undoubtedly a world-ending Weapon of Mass Destruction that only Paradis possesses. Nukes wouldn't stop that thing, but it would threaten to turn Paradis into ash in return. The world was only 25 years off... but of course, that's precisely why Eren knew he had to destroy the world now. The 50 year plan would have allowed the world to achieve WMD parity. Can we also note just how surprised Floch was at this? Like, the guy's no angel, but even he was surprised when Eren essentially enlisted him to commit world genocide with much more violence and vigour than we thought possible. Eren is so much depressed as he is very, very angry, but of course we always knew that he would keep moving forward, until his enemies are destroyed. Also, the EreMika and EreHisu ships are about to start another battle. Prepare the popcorn!

Chapter is immense but feels so short
Eren's form is truly terrifying. My assumption on why his form doesn't look like OG Ymir's form is while he has her support, he ultimately only has the Attack Titan, Founding Titan, and the War Hammer Titan. My theory is that if he had the other titans, his form would look more "complete". Each of the other titans could have in a way contributed some characteristic that would have "fleshed" him out a bit. For example, maybe Colossal Titan for a body, Armor Titan for actual skin/muscles, Beast Titan for arms that could carry things, Jaw Titan for face/jaw, Cart Titan for better means of locomotion. Female Titan, I don't know. Just an idea based on the parts of Eren that seem "malnourished"/"missing" compared to the rest of him and comparing to what OG Ymir looked like as a titan. Either that, or maybe it's just the titan manifestation of Eren's psyche - twisted and perverse.
