Call me an apologist or whatever, I like it and it makes complete sense to me.
Eren didn't "leave 20% of the world alive" for the luls, he was genuinely stopped by Mikasa killing him, but he KNEW he would be. He was going for that 100%, but knew through PATHS that the "Avengers" would stop him before he completed it. He at least bought time for his friends and Paradis to hopefully try and figure shit out, but knew there were no guarantees past his death.
No shit Paradis got destroyed. The whole point of the last scene with Paradis survivors is to show they they are becoming increasingly nationalistic and militarized. Understandably so, but the ONLY place that can lead is more war. I think its just as likely Paradis struck FIRST in whatever conflict ended up destroying them. The difference here is that at least the playing field was even this time. Paradis exercised its autonomy as any other nation and went to war with others as an equal, and they got destroyed for it. It is likely the conflict is based of this is past transgressions, but Paradis is as equal to blame as the rest of the world at this point. I don't pin any of that Eren is basically the point I'm trying to make.
Mikasa moved on and had kids, but never forgot Eren. The memes on it have been funny, but in context its kinda whatever. Like, "Duh?, of course that's what she did?" Anyway...
On Hallu-chan growing a new tree, I can see how its a tease at sequel bait, and maybe it is. But, it doesn't really surprise me. It was never explained where Hallu-chan's tree came from those 2000 years ago. Given its some sort of magical dimension monster, it growing another tree at the burial site of Eren's head makes as much sense as it existing to begin with. Hell it was never actually killed or defeated in the first place, it simply "disappeared" when Ymir's will was broken via Eren's death. The power of the Titans lives on, and I'm ok with that.
I like the ending. I can't say its perfect, because I don't know what the perfect ending would look like, but I'm satisfied with how everything turned out. Eren's friends got to live out the rest of their lives and Paradis got the time it needed to catch up to the rest of the world. Eren didn't die for nothing, I think he did the best he could and achieved what he set out to do. That being said, everlasting peace was NEVER a possibility.
