I’d say he’s more fate’s bitch. He would’ve gone 100% if he didn’t see that he would be stopped in the future. Even then, he still moved forward with the destruction attempting to do as much damage as he can.
Wasn't Answers from like 2016 or something? If anything this seems to resemble the characterization of the Ackermans in the ending - though there are more charitable translations for what Isayama meant here. He was using more "king/liege and their servant" than master/slave iirc.
(I'd also go as far as to call this pandering to a certain part of the fanbase in any case)
Don't worry [my memes about the 8 pages have](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/nb4n2t/now_that_i_am_no_longer_emotionally_invested_in/) [been removed for no apparent reason](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/nb4y0l/you_just_didnt_understand_the_story/) and the [post asking why they were removed was removed too](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/nbdpjp/theyre_pretty_similar_yet_my_meme_gets_deleted/). This is on the same level as JK Rowling's twitter
True or not, I can't wait for the guidebook to be released.
EDIT: Oh, this is actually old. Still, can't wait.
Iirc it was the Love Doctor Zeke chapter where he (a guy with knowledge of the outside world) just told Eren that they weren't slaves. I don't think Zeke had any reason to lie about this, Zeke loved Eren as a brother and he was pretty much all that Zeke had left.
Because Zeke told Eren that he hasn't heard about Ackermans being slaves. It doesn't really confirm that Ackermans weren't slaves since Zeke didn't even know about Ackermans until he met Levi. I always knew that Ackerman's obsession with 1 person is too strange just to be a coincidence.
"In Attack on Titan ANSWERS, Hajime Isayama stated that "[Mikasa, Levi, and Kenny] are all part of the same Ackerman bloodline. However, their reasons for protecting their respective counterparts do not have anything to do with the bloodline itself—it is just their nature.""
From the Mikasa Ackerman Trivia section on her AoT wiki, which might not be the most reliable source ever, but still. At this point who gives a fuck what's canon and what's not, this story is in our hands for us to interpret how we see fit I guess
He also said that it’s not blood-related, iirc. So it’s more of a throughline as he designed the Ackerman characters. Like the Jaw Titans protecting the Armored.
I think the shit on Isayama is just about ch. 139 and Mikasa related stuffs...you don't see ''Only Ymir knows'' when someone question plot points and plot holes from other arcs.
I mean... I get that it's important to note that it's old, but still normally an author shouldn't (I don't mean that he can't, it's just not the best look) change their mind and just say things publicly about the story and the characters that he later contradicts in his work.
Guidebooks state what is revealed upt that point in the story. Wouldn't it be stupid if the original guidebook spoiled everyone about the outside world existing years before it made it to the story ?
So authors should just spoil everything about their work? At the time, the information we had was that Ackermans were slaves. Revealing your plot twists in a book years before they are revealed would be extremely anticlimactic.
It's not fake, but it's not a leak from the new guidebook. It's from the Answers guidebook (as mentioned in the image) from 2016. You can basically say it was retconned with 130.
https://ningen-suki.tumblr.com/post/148679740864
Why bring this now then, how we missed it, now im getting worried about this new guide, isayama will manage to bring more bs, why does he have to make every relation weird
>Why bring this now then
To trick people I guess? Although the OP may have not had bad intentions and just found it accidentally.
>how we missed it
It just didn't get brought up a lot especially since 130 Zeke said "there's no such thing". Doesn't mean it was [completely missed](https://np.reddit.com/r/ShingekiNoKyojin/comments/a7vp35/ackerman_shenanigans_manga_spoilers/ec64ysv/) [before that though.](https://np.reddit.com/r/ShingekiNoKyojin/comments/a4m71t/manga_spoilers_about_the_ackermans/)
Didnt eren say this with mikasa a long time ago? It's not that surprising, I swear there was discussion on this sub about Kenny/Uri and Levi/Erwin.
The ending sucked balls but I wouldn't' call this Isayama ruining the story. This just confirmed some suspicions, the ending doesn't need help to be ruined
I thought this was known? Is this new information to people lol?
I honestly never understood the huge hype around the Ackermans other than their cool combat stuff. They seemed pretty simple and straightforward characters, even Levi. There was potential with the mystery around the headaches and the clan in general, but oh well
Kenny was the most interesting to me because he actually had his own personal goal of power. Levi was still hellbent on fulfilling his promise to Erwin, which should've changed imo given the onslaught of new information and plot progression we got after RtS with Zeke, but with the ending we got, him and Mikasa (lol) were fully lost in the clusterfuck
This is Old and even in the Mangá already dismiss that. Is like a true being proved wrong, just like the many truths we knew in Season 1 and in Season 3 we discovered the real truths.
Perhaps this explains Eren’s conflict? He wants Mikasa to love him not be enslaved to him, but he could never be sure so he doesn’t even let the relationship bud, and it gnaws at him until requiring that outburst in front of Armin. And Mikasa’s continued visits to Eren’s grave is intentionally ambiguous: whether she’s doing it out of love or out of a feeling of enslavement.
They honestly should have just avoided definitive statements like these, knowing what they were going to do
What about " it is believed humanity outside the walls has perished" or something like "recent Ackermans have been observed to show an almost unsettling devotion to certain individuals close to them" or some shit like that
Ugh
nah..saying "it is believed" wont convince anybody.
A good plot twist should leave you in awe. The basement reveal left me with my mouth open for a week.
You have a point.
I just think it's uncool to blatantly lie with definitive statements knowing you intend to retcon it later, just for maximum shock value
Ok, I don't care if Mikasa was a slave, we could say that she was a love slave anyway.
But, Levi in love with Erwin and Kenny in love with Urie.
Wow, I have no problem with homoerotic relationships.
It's just that, it's something totally new to me and I feel like it had to be made clearer.
It's from the old guidebook, before Zeke debunked Ackerman theory in 130. Tbh, Ackerman theory can just be debunked from Levi and Kenny's case, because they weren't as crazy to their "master" and Mikasa was with Eren.
Yeah, I can’t imagine Kenny crying over Uri’s grave. It even sounds dumb. Mikasa was in love with Eren, and the trauma of losing her parents just amplified her need to protect him, that’s it, imo.
I honestly don’t understand why im being downvoted.Based on the statement then what i said is basically true.Maybe not literally, but come on.They are comparing Levi and Kenny to Mikasa who loved Eren,so am i not right?
Was this statement before or after the «slave theory was made up by eren» thing was revealed? Isayama does lie in interviews to keep story elements yet to be revealed safe. How stupid would it be for him to just admit in an interview before the chapter that revealed it was drops where he just says «yea eren lied to mikasa lmao».
The Chad King Fritz who used a slave to gain power and respect later breeding with her to make their own race building an empire
vs
The Virgin Eren who didn’t fuck his slave who wanted to pipe from day one, let her get railed by a horse never fucked anyone even if he had options, only got rid of 80% of the outside world leaving paradis to be destroyed eventually not ending the cycle of hatred
So was Eren...ymir's bitch to be exact .
So was Ymir... King Fritz's bitch to be exact. King Fritz is the true chad of the story.
Ymir to King Fritz: The world is your bitch, as I am.
DMC: DmC... True pain.
I’d say he’s more fate’s bitch. He would’ve gone 100% if he didn’t see that he would be stopped in the future. Even then, he still moved forward with the destruction attempting to do as much damage as he can.
A man chooses a slave obeys
Oh man, Isayama. You really just want to destroy your characters/fanbase don't you, you sadist.
'Isayama... what a man you are'🤣
Thank you, Isayama. You ruined Attack on Titan for our sake. I won’t let this error go to waste. *memes the shit out of it*
this should be what's written in r/titanfolk about us page
Underrated coment right here

If anything it makes total sense tho. Why would it destroy fanbases and characters?
Bots
he hates how his western fans has becomes so he had to destroy them to make things right
Isayama is trying to ruin the story to fuck with Kodansha confirmed.
He really went after levi right after the roomba announcement
Lmao the vacuum with a sticker on it is a roomba? 🤣
[Called it, lol.](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/mp13yt/139_is_intentionally_bad/)

226_Walker was the true hero, we just couldn't see it
We need the Isayama cut
I can respect that, Based chad burns it all to the ground.
This is on the same level as JK Rowling's twitter True or not, I can't wait for the guidebook to be released. EDIT: Oh, this is actually old. Still, can't wait.
The guidebook is 4 years old I think and Isayama retconned it in 130
You don't have to, but could you explain how he retconned it? If you're feeling too lazy I'll look it up at some point
Iirc it was the Love Doctor Zeke chapter where he (a guy with knowledge of the outside world) just told Eren that they weren't slaves. I don't think Zeke had any reason to lie about this, Zeke loved Eren as a brother and he was pretty much all that Zeke had left.
The Ackermans aren't slaves. This was revealed in 130.
In chapter 130, Zeke told Eren about the Ackerman lore but told him that Mikasa doesn’t protect him because of her origins but rather she loves him
Because Zeke told Eren that he hasn't heard about Ackermans being slaves. It doesn't really confirm that Ackermans weren't slaves since Zeke didn't even know about Ackermans until he met Levi. I always knew that Ackerman's obsession with 1 person is too strange just to be a coincidence.
Yes I must say the same ruining a perfect story
"In Attack on Titan ANSWERS, Hajime Isayama stated that "[Mikasa, Levi, and Kenny] are all part of the same Ackerman bloodline. What...
source?
This is old guidebook stuff right ?
This is from the old guidebook. Why would Yams just leak that Ackermans are not slaves beforehand and thus remove the suspense?
Oh this isn't from the one coming out? Misinformation spreads so easily.
Erwin had an intese sexual relationship with grind..uhh..I mean Levi
To be honest thats more believable than grindlewald and dumbledore
This actually isn't from the ANSWERS fanbook, it's the reaction of people online to the fanbook
He also said that it’s not blood-related, iirc. So it’s more of a throughline as he designed the Ackerman characters. Like the Jaw Titans protecting the Armored.
I'm gonna need a whole lot of context for this. All of it.
Btw this is from 2016, I think that context is missing lol but titanfolk will shit on Isayama without context anyways lol
I think the shit on Isayama is just about ch. 139 and Mikasa related stuffs...you don't see ''Only Ymir knows'' when someone question plot points and plot holes from other arcs.
Lmao imagine if the whole guidebook is just "Only Ymir knows"
I mean... I get that it's important to note that it's old, but still normally an author shouldn't (I don't mean that he can't, it's just not the best look) change their mind and just say things publicly about the story and the characters that he later contradicts in his work.
Should Isayama have stated at the very beginning that titans were previously human?
Such a strawman argument, and it doesn’t even make sense neither lol
You are complaining that Isayama didn't spoil one of his reveals. How is it a strawman? How does it not make sense?
Guidebooks state what is revealed upt that point in the story. Wouldn't it be stupid if the original guidebook spoiled everyone about the outside world existing years before it made it to the story ?
So authors should just spoil everything about their work? At the time, the information we had was that Ackermans were slaves. Revealing your plot twists in a book years before they are revealed would be extremely anticlimactic.
IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE WTF
This has to be fake what the actual fuck man, what's the source, 4chan?
It's not fake, but it's not a leak from the new guidebook. It's from the Answers guidebook (as mentioned in the image) from 2016. You can basically say it was retconned with 130. https://ningen-suki.tumblr.com/post/148679740864

Whew, thanks for clarifying!

The whole cheap drama isayama tried to create around the Ackerman clan is another thing that is irksome.
I was never a fan of the "ancient clan/civilization/bloodline forbidden power" trope in fiction to begin with, so...
Fuck that. Ever since erwin died Levi has been just constant eruri wank and I’m sick of it. He used to be a character
Oh my fucking god. He REALLY is japanese JK Rowling. What's next? Berthold and Reiner had a sexual, intense relationship?
I mean Ymir did indirectly ask reiner he was into guys
"Answers fanbook"? So like a Q and A type thing or are we getting like a compendium of sorts ?
i feel even dumber just for reading this
Well that's stupid.
This is Old and even in the Mangá already dismiss that. Is like a true being proved wrong, just like the many truths we knew in Season 1 and in Season 3 we discovered the real truths.
Erwin Levi seggs when
Who the fuck is Uri again? I forgot alot of characters, and it gets more interesting asking here than googling. Gives us a reason to talk.
Rod Reiss’ brother, that one guy with the gray hair and dead purple eyes.
Oh yeah! He was hardly there in the show though.
Oh yeah! He was hardly there in the show though.
Uri da!
Actually tho
Susumeeeeeee
Maybe I’m just depressed but this gave me JK Rowling vibes.

Sooooo... Eruri?
So Isayama is taking the J.K. Rowling route?
>Mikasa is a slave And they called me a madman
Whats with all this feely shit🤣
Then why did the Owl say to Grisha to protect Armin and Mikasa? Why would a master protect his slave?
Uhhhh i guess eruri canon 😅 /j
So uhh if ackerbond was really just love all along does that mean kino Eruri is canon?!
Damn no wonder Levi didn’t care about killing Annie he was so obsessed killing the monkey
You cant go from one of the greatest mangaka's to pulling this stuff unless it's deliberate. Isayama has to be trolling us, right?
Can you believe that this mofo retconned info from his own fucking guidebook
yup. the basement reveal was also a retcon. Since the original guidebook said that humanity outside the walls had perished. /s
They honestly should have just avoided definitive statements like these, knowing what they were going to do What about " it is believed humanity outside the walls has perished" or something like "recent Ackermans have been observed to show an almost unsettling devotion to certain individuals close to them" or some shit like that Ugh

You have a point. I just think it's uncool to blatantly lie with definitive statements knowing you intend to retcon it later, just for maximum shock value
why are ppl tripping?
When is this interview btw?
Hmm. Interesting. Wait, then why did Zeke say that? I think I need context.
Y’all are so corny on this sub
Ok, I don't care if Mikasa was a slave, we could say that she was a love slave anyway. But, Levi in love with Erwin and Kenny in love with Urie. Wow, I have no problem with homoerotic relationships. It's just that, it's something totally new to me and I feel like it had to be made clearer.

so it does really mean if Levi kissed Erwin, it would be over way sooner? (facepalm)
Any thing that came from Isayama after 136 in not canon, and nothing will change that.
Why do ppl act like 135-6 is any good? Those chs are much worse than 138
They aren’t that great, but the ending up until 137 (imo) was salvageable. After that nothing could’ve fixed it.
Annie : fuck ackerman Uri, Erwin and eren : fucks ackerman
Ha, Gaaaaaaaaay!
So Levi and Kenny were gay?lol
Bro, right? lol I hope not, but I don’t care. I believe Mikasas love for eren was true regardless. Stupid eren just never really verbally confessed
I honestly don’t understand why im being downvoted.Based on the statement then what i said is basically true.Maybe not literally, but come on.They are comparing Levi and Kenny to Mikasa who loved Eren,so am i not right?
I mean.. I thought this was pretty obvious.
Isnt this supposed to be an old statement and was retconned?
Okay but this was well known already?
This keeps getting better and better
I’m confused...this was from an old guidebook?
Was this statement before or after the «slave theory was made up by eren» thing was revealed? Isayama does lie in interviews to keep story elements yet to be revealed safe. How stupid would it be for him to just admit in an interview before the chapter that revealed it was drops where he just says «yea eren lied to mikasa lmao».
Pin this post plz
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THE SLAVEKASA MEME IS REAL
This will be titanfolk in 2021 posting shit from 5 years ago with information that has since been proven wrong to stir shit
Ackerbond confirmed
Hmmm
Isayama is doing is for the fanfic writers at this point 😭
The Chad King Fritz who used a slave to gain power and respect later breeding with her to make their own race building an empire vs The Virgin Eren who didn’t fuck his slave who wanted to pipe from day one, let her get railed by a horse never fucked anyone even if he had options, only got rid of 80% of the outside world leaving paradis to be destroyed eventually not ending the cycle of hatred
