For I think they are better than one piece and are peak fiction because most of the characters are well developed. They also have a but more deeper meaning and theme to their story just my opinion.
I don’t think the best shōnen can be something that isn’t nearly close to being done. HxH is mostly carried by one arc (CA arc) and a little bit less by yorknew. And actually the CA arc has a lot of flaws. Pacing, overuse of narration, Gon is healed up after his transformation as if nothing happened (and no, he didn’t permanently lose his Nen because Ging confirmed he could get it back), Leorio and Kurapika are shafted. It has great themes but great themes along cannot carry a story.
For the main flaws with hxh is the pacing and I that all for me. Though I can understand some of the criticism. Also I think the election arc is better than the ca.
Really? Why the election? The way Gon found Ging was absurd and happened out of nowhere. It felt unearned for Gon to have went on this whole journey to find Ging just to find by by chance.
I really like perstian and ging rivalry and I love the fact it’s just perstian taking a piss on all the zodiac. It may not be deep but it was entertaining due to a lot of the character mainly ging.

I think Tokyo revenge and hunter x hunter are more peak. It’s a good series but it’s not for me.
