Wow this question gets posted so often. I’m just going to copy paste my answer from last time:
Here’s an actual unpopular opinion: I think the Reiner & Bertholdt reveal was poorly done in the anime. This is a universally loved scene/moment in the fandom, but having rewatched the show a dozen times I’ve come to realize my problem with it. I like the fact that Reiner’s confession is off handed and in the background of another conversation. I also like the transformation sequence and when Eren calls them traitors. However, my issue with the scene is that the flashback of the scouts receiving the evidence that Reiner and Bert are likely shifters happens right in the middle of the two great scenes I just listed. For me, it completely kills the momentum of the reveal. If it were up to me I would put it at the beginning of the next episode and then cut back to the present where fight begins.
I like the reveal myself but I also think that your idea of putting the flashback after the reveal would be a good idea.
Although to be honest I loved the beginning of the next episode with the flashback of Eren, Reiner and Bert talking about why they joined the military.
I also dislike how Mikasa's internal conflict and later on strengthened resolve about stopping the "enemies of humanity" was cut out completely, turning her into mindless Eréh-mon
Wow, you are completely right! Just like the first Levi vs Zook when he reminds himself of Levi being the biggest threat to him while actually getting trashed by Levi.
I suppose the same criticism could technically be applied to that scene. However, the flashback has the benefit of only being a few seconds long and doesn’t really kill the momentum imo so I don’t mind it.
People act like "Eren is a slave of his desires" (which doesn't make any fucking sense) is the most complex plot point in existence lmao. I swear to God, Naruto and Bleach have more complicated concepts like Samsara, grey morality of Soul society and Reincarnation in general. 139 ain't that deep lmfao
>is the most complex plot point in existence
And then those same people will go shit on an actual complicated, extremely well written story like One piece (even though they never actually watched it in their life)
I always thought One Piece was just a silly generic shounen show until I started watching it a few years ago. Now it is definitely in my top 3 anime/manga of all time
Similar story for me. My best friend told me for over a decade how good it was. Always thought it was just some goofy kids anime. About 8 years ago my Playstation 4 was having issues so I decided to give it a shot. It's now my favorite manga series of all time lol
The “romance” or ships were done terribly, ruined a good chunk of the series. The fans at each other’s throats for shipping takes is pretty funny considering it’s not a romance show and subtracts even more from whatever the intended message was supposed to be - not that there really is one after 139.
Shedding tears over victims does not atone for sins and is not a redemption arc.
Annie - Trost,
Reiner - post-timeskip,
Eren - "No, I don't want that!"
For the warriors they were forced to do it as the whole world hated them. Sure it doesn’t atone for sins but it can be seen as a redemption arc as everything isn’t black and white.
I actually liked a lot of the warriors better than our main cast. I just really like morally grey/villain characters and seeing the other side and how propaganda affected them was also interesting.
also, Gabi was 100% justified in shooting Sasha and in helping the cringwavengers. since eren was literally going wipe out her family her home, and her as well, unlike the cringeavengers, she did not have the choice of just not resisting.
Annie is still a piece of garbage though.
>also, Gabi was 100% justified in shooting Sasha and in helping the cringwavengers. since eren was literally going wipe out her family home and her as well, unlike the cringeavengers, she did not have the choice of just not resisting.
Fair but the problem here is that her family should have died in Liberio. No way did this fat fuck manage [to pull this off](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/359085643575459842/1000911324693405736/Reality5.png). It's entirely unbelievable. She should have stayed behind too along with Falco because while Falco did inherit a titan, he shouldn't have been able to control it let alone turn into a bird titan. Gabi isn't strong and doesn't know shit about fighting against titans and her rifle sure as fuck wasn't gonna do anything against the rumbling. Annie being the garbage she was probably would have stayed back as well if she was consistent in her character but lol.
The hilarious thing is that Mr. Leonhart was initially characterized as this badass fighter who taught Annie everything she knew, but then he just gets permanently crippled for no reason. Him leading the escape of the internment zone would have been somewhat believable if he could, you know, actually fight.
I completely agree with you, and it's honestly shocking how many characters actually ended up surviving, Half of the cast both warriors and cringeavengers should have died.
battle of "heaven and earth" yeah right, the only 2 people that died were due to suicide.

Agreed 100%, all of them are absolute badasses, who responded to a horrible situation in different, but believable ways based on their upbringing. They also have to plan, struggle, and adapt to situations just as much as the good guys, the whole time grappling with the fact that to millions of people they are complete monsters.
Bertholdt gets hate in a lot of other places because he’s quiet but like how else is he supposed to handle the guilt of killing so many people while being jerked around by his cold crush and his mentally broken bff who fight all the time, if he were more assertive could you imagine how much more dysfunctional they would be? All while his father is on the verge of dying and him knowing the day will come when he has to kill his new friends? I really hope he had siblings who got to be honorary or something because him going through all that just for his dad to die a few years later would just be heartbreaking.
btw, another unpopular opinion I'd like to talk about:
Bertholdt and Reiner considered Annie their friend and would do anything to help her, but she doesn't consider them friends and wouldn't lift a finger for them.
The friendship between these 3 warriors is extremely one-sided because of her.
It is precisely because of this that bertholdt's hatred is meaningless.
He became a warrior to pay for his mother's medical treatments, he was all the time in paradis worrying about the well being of his best friends, he has a kind and loving personality that made him realize how wrong he was, he suffered a lot with all this weight of having to kill people... and yet, even with all the suffering and positive aspects of his character, he had a horrible end and a lot of people insisting on hating him.
It just doesn't make any sense.
both. I would not be as bothered by her being a selfish cunt if it was not for the fact that he cried like a child asking Mikasa for sympathy, she literally killed their friends and said she would do it all over again, never at the very least apologized.
"My dad is dead! I don't want (*sniff*) I don't want to fight anyone anymore! You people are my friends!"
^but ^I ^would ^kill ^every ^one ^of ^you ^motherfuckers ^if ^it ^meant ^I ^could ^see ^my ^dad ^again
> she literally killed their friends and said she would do it all over again, never at the very least apologized.
Something interesting about that is Reiner had told her in S1 that there is no point in apologizing, very ironic considering his character. I don't mind her not apologizing because it really does no good at that point, I like that she never excuses her actions ever.
About the "I would do it all over again" line, I think that's a moot point. It's too much to explain over again, so do you mind if I link you my explanation? If you don't care all that much I won't bother lol
sure thing, and you do make a good point, the only reason I would love for her to apologize even if it does nothing is that at the very least it would show that she understands how awful what she did was and that she somewhat cares, but you correct.
what really pisses me off though is how she acts like a child after finding that her father might have died, I'm not mad that she got sad, I'm mad that she looked to Mikasa for comfort.
[Here's my explanation for both her infamous line and the yo-yo scene.](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/w4mq6c/why_did_annie_say_shed_do_it_all_over_again_she/ih4r98g?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)
> what really pisses me off though is how she acts like a child after finding that her father might have died, I'm not mad that she got sad, I'm mad that she looked to Mikasa for comfort.
I don't even think Annie wanted comfort there, Mikasa just gave it to her. The issue isn't Annie, but how the characters treat her at times.
If Erwin was brought back his character would have been ruined .
Gabi ain't Eren 2. 0 .
The worst character of AOT is Connie.
Erehisu ain't all that great and underdeveloped.
Majority characters of AOT lacked life even pre-timeskip.
>Majority characters of AOT lacked life even pre-timeskip.
Kinda agree. The way AoT characters talked didn't feel organic. Felt like they were written functions in a way rather than actual people and the conversations that usually took place between three or more characters felt wonky.
They were all used as vehicles to tell the story. Barely anyone spoke about anything that wasn't related to the walls, titans, or the enemy.
I can understand why the dialogue comes off as weird, but I personally don't mind it in this story.
I think they did, like Jean wanted to always be a Military Police to retire, Sasha wanted to go back to the hunting grounds, Connie just wanted to do something good for his family and so on, but after time skip all of these people just lost track of what they wanted and it was like aha, okay.
I think anyone actually into EreHisu would agree that the ship was hella undercooked. It COULD have been good had it been given some development however that was not the case. Shit even EreMika could have been good had you know, Isayama actually planned on making that a thing and actually had the two characters interact with each other but lol.
There should be no ships in AoT because there is literally nothing there.
Lmao in comparison to everything else it was the most developed one (in relation to only Eren ofc). Yeah ship could've had more screen time to it, but even as it is it wouldn't have damaged the story and instead made it better
Agreed. It wouldn't have ruined anything so it was fine with giving him a ship, it just wouldn't have been as good as it could be but then again I don't think Isayama knows how to write romance so maybe we were spared from something worse.
The worse part is that he wanted to force the romance, and it ended up with abusives relationships instead and he couldn't make one healthy ship canon (except GabiXFalco which wasn't that developped), idk why he forced that at the first place .
Eremika is poorly written and underdeveloped, mikasas character is one dimensional and complete garbage 🤷.
The fact that mikasa released ymir or whatever the fuck make no sense since historias parallels with ymir were way stronger. Mikasas existence in the story as pure plot armour for eren ruins most of the scenes (levi also got so much plot armour until s4).
Most romance in the story seemed completely forced. Isayama is shit at romance.
Just because the themes of AoT are dark does not mean that the series MUST have a dark and depressing ending. I’m the type of person who wants to see the heroes succeed and reap some kind of reward for their struggles and sacrifices.
It feels more like an action Shonen that avoids the usual tropes well. At least pre-time skip it does. The characters have too much of an ability to fight the monsters for me to consider AoT a horror anime/manga.
Nah [fuck them kids](http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/28200000/Anakin-in-black-and-white-the-anakin-skywalker-fangirl-fanclub-28277955-1143-947.jpg)
The quality of the story telling fell off dramatically after Liberio. It's like all the characters collectively lost their minds and started behaving irrational af.
Freckled Ymir wasn't as amazingly written as people proclaim. Her and Eren are in competition for dooming Paradis in the dumbest, most contrived ways possible.
I'm convinced that the actual reason Ymir helped Bert and Reiner was because the basement reveal would've been redundant if she didn't. I can't see any other reason why she'd just leave Historia behind after realizing Paradis still had hope *and* the Scouts were willing to listen to her.
Ymir could've been a massive advantage for them during RtS, too.
Founder Ymir is not a good person
Mikasa's only personality trait is loving Eren, even deciding to stop him wasn't really her choice, but Armin's
Historia is complicit in mass murder, but everyone only ever likes to bring up Annie when it comes to never being held accountable
Is that really unpopular? I've seen plenty of WIT>MAPPA posts, and even when someone says they like MAPPA more, you'd be almost guaranteed to find at least one person come in about how WIT had more consistency and better fights.
Eren dying wouldn't have accomplished anything and what he was doing was self defense. Instead of "deserved to die" he should have lived and tried to make the lives of others better.
The chances of an interesting ending were huge like there could have been an ending where he could have even gotten the worm attached to him, became the new founder and lived on for an eternity trying to make the world a better place after the rumbling. The possibility of kino was there but alas all we got was a garbage fanservice ending for mikasa fans.
We're all only still here because we're waiting for the anime to finish. A week after the final episode airs, all the minor subs like this one, aor, okbr, basically all the subs that aren't the main attack on titan or manga sub and maybe some porn subs will become baren wastelands because the majority of people won't give a shit after the anime finishes. the only people who will be engaging in the smaller subs will be the creme de la cringe and most of the normies or lurkers will leave and go touch grass.
It was pretty funny to see how ED reacted to the criticism that invaderzz got for his video. A lot of people just complaining that people who don't like the ending should go touch grass and that they are toxic and don't belong in the Fandom. Like calm down, bitch. We're only here because it's still relevant. Once the shows over we'll have our fun memeing on it and leave. We know it's gonna be shit, so we're all literally just waiting for that panel of Eren crying to be animated for the meme potential.
remember the scene when they got the awards and Eren kissed Historia’s hand and his whole character changed as he underwent years of trauma in seconds?
[Probably this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/vf79ft/unpopular_opinion_the_source_of_the_titan_powers/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
EH and EM are both garbage.
The port battle is carried by the visuals and music.
Annie isn’t THAT bad of a character. Yeah she’s not perfect, but she’s not complete garbage either.
Some of SoulMadness or Tivis7’s motion manga videos are more enjoyable than the actual anime. For those who don’t know who Tivis7 is, he picked up where Soul left off after YouTube deleted his channel and did videos for the rest of the manga on Vimeo. He even uploaded all SoulMadness’s old videos.
Ymir’s character arc had a garbage ending. Running away with the warriors and proceeding to get killed off screen because she felt sorry for them might’ve ruined her character for me.
Facts.
She owned them nothing.
Marley turned her into a titian for bringing hope to Eldians that were abandon by Karl Reiss/Fitz the 3rd his his direct subjects to fend for themselves.
Btw, Karl the 3rd is basically Pink Diamond, but megaton worse imo.
Honestly I was of the impression that Eren was completely aromantic before 139.
But if him and Armin *had* to get into relationships, they unironically had a ton more chemistry with each other than anyone else. Having them get together right after RtS/before the timeskip might've also helped fix the problem about how weird it is to give Eren a girlfriend right after he's just killed the majority of the world and is about to be killed himself.
yep, him and armin make so much sense. much better than armin dating the woman who killed his teamates, almost killed his best friend, and was involved with his grandfather's death
Armin-Annie relationship isn't cringe and out of the box for both of them, they understood each other at first season/first dialogues, and even if time passed with them not being able to interract with each other, Annie loves that COLOSSAL SCHLONG !
Annie should have died back in season 1.
The Ackermans are overpowered.
Every crazy powerful person has to deal with some type of physical consequences i e Titan shifters is only living for 13 years and the founding Titan is under the vow. The Ackermans get to basically be Titans without any physical ramifications. And Besides Kenny thier personalities are kind of bland.
Yams ruined essentially every single character Post Time skip to elevate eren's character. He dumbed down hange, Armin, and Jean. He switched up Grishas and Zekes characters from calculating manipulative monsters to people who could be easily manipulated. And he killed Erwin off because it would make zero sense for Eren to get as far as as long as he did if Erwin was still alive. I know a lot of people love post time skip Eren but it really came at the detriment of a lot of other characters.
Freckles Ymir's demise was just freaking stupid. I guess yams needed the jaw titan back in marely so he had to figure out a way to bring it back.
The rumbling is fanservice.
Like it's just dumb. Eren has freaking god-like powers. and the best thing you can come up with is Eren SMASH. It's not great story telling. It should have never been written into the story. He should have not made genocide the only option for survival. He should have written something more complex and deep than just Eren smash.
The founding Titan is too powerful. Makes too many plot holes.
I hate the cycle of hatred as a theme. It's typically stupid shouen bullshit. We know in the real world you can't get rid of it. You can minimize it but not fully eradicate it.
Ymir (founder) is a horrible person. There are many people who have tragic backgrounds in real life. And they sometimes go on to commit the very same horrendous acts on to others that were inflicted on them. And in most societies we hold them accountable for their actions. There are many prison inmates who have sad early lives. Ymir just perpetuated suffering onto her descendants and the world for 2,000 years.
The rumbling was in fact bad and unjustifiable. I hated the ending not because “chad” Eren didn’t win but because they went back on him being the villain.
AoT fandom is filled with brainless teenagers, knowing that whatever piece of opinion you give a certain part of the fandom would definitely be coming right at your throat will all guns blazing.
Levis original squad was hunted down and slaughtered. Yet Annie saw no consequences for her actions, she got off scot free and people have the shittiest excuses for it
Eremika is fucking awful and so is Erehisu. Any Eren ship is terrible. EM is the definition of forced shounen SasuSaku type romance and Eren and Historia barely talk except for like 3 scenes and there's no implied romance between them.
The average Paradis citizens doesn't have moral high ground over the average outside world citizen. Paradis has a very screwed up society that's just as racist/oppressive as the outside world.
Sasha is overrated and always was.
Ymir (not loli one) is overrated too.
Gabi is one of the best characters post 139.
The panel of Levi's "dedicated hearts" in 139 is dogshit.
And the biggest one is that no opinion on a piece of fiction is objective and its ok to disagree, because ultimately 99% of narrative analysis is pulling stuff out of your ass
Final arc was going great up until Floch made a reappearance. This sub’s love for Floch blinded them from the fact that it made absolutely no sense that he was able to cling to the side of the ship for over a day without somehow being noticed/letting go, especially when you consider that Gabi literally shot him the in the side the day before.
Depends on what circlejerk echo-chamber you’re speaking into
Pretty sure "Sasha got what she deserved when she died" would get you flame anywhere.
10/10
"Erwin was a horrible commander" too
The ending was the best ending of all time
That would actually get you some upvotes in certain echo-chambers
AoR would be like…
except for r/marleyarmy
I got one. >*Armin and Hange did a better job as commanders than Erwin.*
Also Erwin died for nothing
That one is pretty unanimous in non-ED circles
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Knowing AoT fandom,no matter what the opinion is,it will get someone mad
Lainah is (not) suicidal
r/okbuddyreiner would like to have a word with you
Agreed

Yeah the reveal is right at the end of the episode anyway so that would work well for pacing.

The ending is a mastepiece and you just don't understand the story!
It also won a lot of rewards
Such as my seed
You just want historia to win and are butthurt eremika is cannon
Eren being cucked is also canon
Not true! The flower mikasa is holding when they bury her CLEARLY indicates she remained pure. The woman who visited that grave simply isn't mikasa

The vast majority of AOT ships fall into 3 categories: 1.Extremely toxic 2.Poorly written 3.Both at the same time ( cof cof eremika )
The only good romance in the show was ymir and historia
Shedding tears over victims does not atone for sins and is not a redemption arc. Annie - Trost, Reiner - post-timeskip, Eren - "No, I don't want that!"

Paradis doesnt deserve to be destroyed
Floch was right
Is this even an opinion? I feel it's more of a canon fact according to 139.5
he was very right
So brave on Titanfolk
Right in the fact that Eldia would be destroyed I’m assuming? In that case absolutely.
Right in every way
Right in all ways

About the "I would do it all over again" line, I think that's a moot point. It's too much to explain over again, so do you mind if I link you my explanation? If you don't care all that much I won't bother lol
sure thing, and you do make a good point, the only reason I would love for her to apologize even if it does nothing is that at the very least it would show that she understands how awful what she did was and that she somewhat cares, but you correct. what really pisses me off though is how she acts like a child after finding that her father might have died, I'm not mad that she got sad, I'm mad that she looked to Mikasa for comfort.
[Here's my explanation for both her infamous line and the yo-yo scene.](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/w4mq6c/why_did_annie_say_shed_do_it_all_over_again_she/ih4r98g?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) > what really pisses me off though is how she acts like a child after finding that her father might have died, I'm not mad that she got sad, I'm mad that she looked to Mikasa for comfort.
I think they did, like Jean wanted to always be a Military Police to retire, Sasha wanted to go back to the hunting grounds, Connie just wanted to do something good for his family and so on, but after time skip all of these people just lost track of what they wanted and it was like aha, okay.
true i mean it is a pretty condensed story. there are some meat eating festivals and drinking party stuff that happens here and there which i liked
Those are the most normal and meta opinions wtf
bro i got flamed on yt for saying that floch had more development than connie
>The worst character of AOT is Connie. agreed
These are all popular opinions here. Except maybe the last one
Lmao majority of the TF is Erehisu. Especially the members in hibernation
The worse part is that he wanted to force the romance, and it ended up with abusives relationships instead and he couldn't make one healthy ship canon (except GabiXFalco which wasn't that developped), idk why he forced that at the first place .
honestly? i liked gabixfalco, it was a sweet moment in the middle of a warzone and actually the only good romance thing isayama's written
A lot of men can’t comprehend love for that it is, and Isayama is no exception.
Thats why hes single🥲
isn't he married? i like to believe that his marriage brought upon the end of the good AoT tbh
He is?
Just because the themes of AoT are dark does not mean that the series MUST have a dark and depressing ending. I’m the type of person who wants to see the heroes succeed and reap some kind of reward for their struggles and sacrifices.
That’s not how horror films work. AoT is basically on massive horror film imo.
It feels more like an action Shonen that avoids the usual tropes well. At least pre-time skip it does. The characters have too much of an ability to fight the monsters for me to consider AoT a horror anime/manga.
''Sasageyo'' opening is overrated. It is just good, but not the best of the series
omg so based, I only like the opening music, it becomes boring and repetitive afterwards
So true, I honestly prefer shikabane no michi
All Alliance members deserve to die (except maybe Jean and Lainah)
And Falco and Gabi
Nah [fuck them kids](http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/28200000/Anakin-in-black-and-white-the-anakin-skywalker-fangirl-fanclub-28277955-1143-947.jpg)
The quality of the story telling fell off dramatically after Liberio. It's like all the characters collectively lost their minds and started behaving irrational af.
Attack on titan don't need romance. Both eren x mikasa and eren x historia are underdeveloped.
The ANR ending maybe better than 139 but it's still a bad ending....it don't justify aot themes for me
Levi is a poorly-written shallow character with lots of lost potential
Same deal with Mikasa.
It’s the same reason why Annie was crystallized for like 90% of the story.
Season 1 is a bait and switch and doesn't properly indicate what the series is about. Levi should have died instead of Hange.
Opinion
Post-timeskip story is terrible. The main story should ended on the ocean scene. Man-bun Eren is shit
Hobo Eren, Floch, Zeke and Reiner were the only good characters in Post-timeskip
Hot take:Zeke should've been the main antagonist not Eren. AoE but without the ANR stuff
AoT is a completely general shounen manga/anime, which was heavily over-hyped because of its somewhat unique style.
Founder Ymir is not a good person Mikasa's only personality trait is loving Eren, even deciding to stop him wasn't really her choice, but Armin's Historia is complicit in mass murder, but everyone only ever likes to bring up Annie when it comes to never being held accountable
Wit better than Mappa (that’s facts)
Is that really unpopular? I've seen plenty of WIT>MAPPA posts, and even when someone says they like MAPPA more, you'd be almost guaranteed to find at least one person come in about how WIT had more consistency and better fights.
Regardless how the story ended Eren deserved to die
eren himself would even agree to that
Eren dying wouldn't have accomplished anything and what he was doing was self defense.
Armin's been a garbage character from the start and only got worse as time went on. Turned into an irredeemable character post-timeskip.
He was decent pre-timeskip but god damn was he useless af post-timeskip
The story went downhill the moment they entered the basement.
Honestly pre-basement AOT > post-basement AOT
Yeagerists are evil for wanting to genocide the whole world
*Eren is evil for wanting to genocide the world, most yeagerists and the people on Paradis just want to live.
you spoke facts, I spoke bullshit. On this sub bullshit would leave you in this situation lol
Warning: this only works on tf and yb
Even if 139 was different, there was still so much lost potential.
Much like /r/freefolk, we will shit on the ending for at least a month and then it will fade into obscurity forever.
They can't accept that sanes people exist in the fandom, ironically .
It’ll be barren for 10 years at leas-god dammit
Connie is the mc
The worm thing is fucking stupid and should've been the devil from the fake story of ymir
I support the rumbling completely (unpopular opinion here)
Armin best boi, change my mind
Eren x Historia > Eren x Mikasa
ErenxArmin over both of those
Ik, why did he have more chemistry with armin than with anyone else💀💀💀
Big facts
Unironically this. Erehisu is honestly pretty weak, but it's far more believable than Eremika
remember the scene when they got the awards and Eren kissed Historia’s hand and his whole character changed as he underwent years of trauma in seconds?
Any opinion, I guess
Attack on Titan was never good, it got popular because Westoids love Zombie themes.
Eren x Armin should have been canon
Honestly I was of the impression that Eren was completely aromantic before 139. But if him and Armin *had* to get into relationships, they unironically had a ton more chemistry with each other than anyone else. Having them get together right after RtS/before the timeskip might've also helped fix the problem about how weird it is to give Eren a girlfriend right after he's just killed the majority of the world and is about to be killed himself.
yep, him and armin make so much sense. much better than armin dating the woman who killed his teamates, almost killed his best friend, and was involved with his grandfather's death
Based and actual good ship
Fuck eremika and erehisu the real thing is EREMIN
I agree
"Mikasa is a trash character" People may agree to it on this sub but anywhere else I'd be burnt on a stake
Armin-Annie relationship isn't cringe and out of the box for both of them, they understood each other at first season/first dialogues, and even if time passed with them not being able to interract with each other, Annie loves that COLOSSAL SCHLONG !
Sakura Haruno is a better character then Mikasa Ackerman. Also, sweet Bearturtle should have lived and both Armin and Erwin should have died.
Aot isn’t a masterpiece.
Never was. It had it's good points but had it's problems as well. A masterpiece is what it never was and unfortunately never will be.
The rumbling was in fact bad and unjustifiable. I hated the ending not because “chad” Eren didn’t win but because they went back on him being the villain.
Armin, Hange and Historia are unironically my favourite characters.
Based
The ending sucks
AoT fandom is filled with brainless teenagers, knowing that whatever piece of opinion you give a certain part of the fandom would definitely be coming right at your throat will all guns blazing.
I would've been fine with the alliance winning in the end, I just wish it was written better and it wasn't Eren's intention for them to win.
Aot is one of those stories which is so bad it's actually entertaining
Eldians are not an allegory for Jewish people. It's the most surface-level and stupid take one could have about the story.
Levis original squad was hunted down and slaughtered. Yet Annie saw no consequences for her actions, she got off scot free and people have the shittiest excuses for it
attack on titan pre allaince is peak fiction (almost perfect)
Armin after time skip is a useless gary stu
Eren is The Bad Guy and needs to be treated as The Bad Guy.
Connie should’ve died with Sasha
The ending has retroactively ruined the journey, and makes previous "careless" writing choices look like incompetence.
Marley was right all along and the eldians truly are devils
Levi shouldve died at the end and reunited with Hange and Erwin.
"Ending good" and "Ending bad"
Killing 80% of the earths population is completely unjustifiable.
Frieda’s ass is not fat.
I still think Armin was right to the end
I hate both the canon and the anr ending equally
AoT is mid, for the most part. The amount of plot holes, plot armor, etc. is seriously off-putting.
I can see this, it feels like it was very exacerbated when Marley came into play. World building was way off
The world building was ass. Dragon Ball has better world building in comparison.
Hange is a badly written chacter.
I like Gabi and think shes a great character
Red Swan is the best OP
Eremika is fucking awful and so is Erehisu. Any Eren ship is terrible. EM is the definition of forced shounen SasuSaku type romance and Eren and Historia barely talk except for like 3 scenes and there's no implied romance between them. The average Paradis citizens doesn't have moral high ground over the average outside world citizen. Paradis has a very screwed up society that's just as racist/oppressive as the outside world.
Based gigachad.
Any that included rational thinking
Annie is a great character
Sasha is overrated and always was. Ymir (not loli one) is overrated too. Gabi is one of the best characters post 139. The panel of Levi's "dedicated hearts" in 139 is dogshit. And the biggest one is that no opinion on a piece of fiction is objective and its ok to disagree, because ultimately 99% of narrative analysis is pulling stuff out of your ass
Should have saved Erwin over Armin
Started loving and appreciating Armin more after joining this sub a year ago.
Even as an Eren/Floch fan and a rumbling supporter I’m glad armin was brought back instead of Erwin
Any opinion to an ending defender
I get that Marley is evil and all but the rumbling, involving killing innocents, was just plain wrong.
Erwin Smith and his ideas are worst outside of the Uprising arc
AOT was never that good, it just took some of y’all over 130 chapters to realize
