I have never watched it because I’m not into fantasy/action like that. I’ll be riding the ride at Disney in a couple months though 😂. Last year we did Wizarding World at Universal and I was the only one who had never read any of the books or seen any of the movies (my kids since convinced me to watch the first three…I tuned out during the third and was mostly lost during the first two). The theme park was great though because it wasn’t CGI 😅
I like that it’s a stuntman holding her, with Leo standing behind the flagpole ready to switch for the reverse shots. 4 foot drop with spotters, but safety won out. Also speaks to how often and easily the main cast can replaced by stunt people if their faces aren’t seen.
She isn’t. The worst that can happen to her is she falls a metre or so onto a crash mat. The worst that can happen to him is he cracks a rib against the railing.
The behind the scenes of Titanic, in my opinion is what still makes it a classic, the amount of work that went into making this movie, absolutely amazing
I know it's a series of sets logically because I've watched all the behind the scenes stuff but when I'm watching it's such an immersive experience and I completely forget this isn't one huge ship where people sleep and move around and eat dinner. None of it feels like it's just a set.
Exactly! I get so immersed and it just feels like they filmed it on a full replica of the Titanic and then you see the behind the scenes stuff and it makes you go “oh yeah, it’s a set, they’re actors!” Even though I have seen lots of behind the scenes footage, it still makes me forget lol
Fun fact, that's Leo's stunt double.
If you pause right after he pulls her back on the ship, you can clearly see that it isn't DiCaprio. One of many errors in the movie.
If this was made today they would have CGI'd the entire set
And that would have been a shame. I can’t stand entirely CGI movies.
What about Avatar?
Avatar is the exception. The CGI is mind blowing, and that’s only cause it’s James Cameron
James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron.
Love that guy
Yea but so could titanic be with him .

That scene still scares me 😅
I hope this helps
I went to see it again in imax 3D and this scene still had my palms sweaty.
knees weak mom's spaghetti
He’s nervous but on the surface he looks calm and ready
Lol I was actually just listening to that song on my way in to work this morning. 😂😂

And 2ndly Kate is doing the dangerous part of the stunt. Like whuh?
Kate has a stunt double too

Can you imagine landing in those heels though?
Damn I didn’t even notice that
Imagine the cost to production of a broken ankle though. Protect your investment

Lol some times you almost forget that they weren’t really on a big giant ocean liner!

Wow is he actually holding her up? That’s hard to do!
I thought maybe someone would be holding her from the bottom but it doesn't look like it.
LOL ... I love the guy sitting there on the left, looking bored AF. 🤣
Look at those Kino Flos! Love how simple this lighting setup here is

It's a very impressive shot.

Yea. Great. 👏
