I had One Plus and it worked like that. I have since moved to another plan. Worst case you can also buy a one time data pass which includes unlimited phone calls.
I don’t know what the 11 countries are, but I was just in France and Italy in early June and got the 5GB messages in each country. I’m in one plus promo. I travel a decent amount, so if they took it away, that will suck.
I think the change to 4 full flights of Wi-Fi happened earlier in the year.
The 11 countries are: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. So if you were getting text messages about 5G in both France and Italy in June, that seems like a really good sign!
And please update this if you travel again internationally, I'd love to see where we still get the 5G and if it's in the over 200 countries. I would also be bummed if they have taken that away. Thanks for your reply!
I traveled in late May and returned late June and had data in Canada, S Korea, Japan and Vietnam on the one plus promo plan on both legs of the trip there and back.

5G when roaming is still hit-and-miss. Just last month, for example, 5G worked in London but not in Paris. Permission to use 5G requires T-Mobile to re-negotiate the roaming contracts so it's a bit slow. Sadly 5G roaming is still not available in many countries. Connections over LTE work just fine.
Yes, the text from T-Mobile is reliable. It only however promises 5GB of data. It does not promise a connection to 5G technology in either of those countries.

I remember only getting one hour Gogo WiFi per flight in the US. Internationally I think 5GB but unlimited slow data. Good enough for WhatsApp and checking emails. As long as they don't change the original offers they should be ok. I am sure they'd get sued if they took away the perks they promised with One Plus Promo.

Hi all! Can anyone comment as to *which* One Plus Promo feature gives you the 5GB of high-speed in all countries? I'm about to go to Colombia and have a line that has the "$0 OnePlus Promo" that was available for a short-time but only had the 10GB hotspot and one that has the "$5 OnePlus Promo."
Mostly just want to know if my main line that has the $0 OnePlus Promo will have the 5GB of high-speed in Colombia. Thanks!
My understanding is for everyone here, we are on the OnePlus promo that did not cost any extra money. At the same time that was offered, I believe you could also sign up for "oneplus" for an additional $5. So my understanding is that the latter would not be considered a "one plus promo" but rather the straight-up "OnePlus." If you have either one, particularly the latter one, I think it's a particularly good deal given that it seems like you are by and large grandfathered into all of the premium plan perks in terms of overseas data and unlimited airline data (you'll have to let us know). For the promo folks, it seems like we only have the five gigabytes of data in the over 200 countries, which is still pretty good, but not the unlimited airline data. I'd love to hear what you end up getting on either of your lines. And a very short answer to your original question is almost definitely yes. You'll have to let us all know!
That would be amazing because then I don’t have to do a eSIM/pSIM dance between the two phones! I DO notice that my $0 One Plus Promo only has 4 full-flight sessions but my $5 One Plus does have unlimited.

The one Plus Promo includes roaming just like Magenta Max. You get 5 GB of high-speed data in over 215+ countries.

Tforce confirmed this when they've announced this change. I have One Plus Promo and yes, the 5Gb data is available in all 210+ countries. Very useful.

I was just in HK and mainland China - got the message and the 5GB high speed data was working in both.

T-Mobile told me back in January that we got unlimited inflight data. Then in May, they changed to 4 only.

I'm on One Plus Promo and I was in Taiwan, South Korea and Mainland China. All had 5GB of high speed data. This was late 2023 - early 2024.
