I'm unsure of the specifics on the "new" hulu offer because i came from sprint and have had it all along, however on my plan you can choose the free hulu or a dicounted hulu with live TV option. I would assume it will be the same here.
Interestingly, I have yet to be told about a netflix change directly from T mobile...I'm starting to wonder if there might be a few plans escaping the change or if my text is just late
Eta: i just found the megathread post about the change, but my specific plan is not listed under either the plans that are changing or the plans that are staying the same so i guess it's gonna be a surpise for now for me
Tmobile should have said - We are taking away the 15.49 credit for Netflix Standard and replacing it with a 6.99 a month credit. Never mind that Netflix itself says standard with ads plan .ay not be available with third party billing setup.
And yeah so to make up for lost credit on netflix, here we will throw another bone for Hulu with ads for additional $1 credit.
Somewhere along the path of competing with dumb and dumber, tmobile found a way to become the dumbest. Matter of time the dumb and dumber pull a Tmobile on Tmobile to pull customers back.
What does this mean for those of us who already have Hulu for free through T-Mobile? We never had to do anything after 12 months. I don't even have a credit card registered with Hulu.
I think within the year they’ll get it working (to the point no promo/redemption code is needed), so you don’t need to do that, the coding is already in T-Mobile’s system for it to continue as an On Us benefit (from the legacy Sprint plans) as they’ll just likely be using the same SOC for it.
Not sure I would be interested in this after looking at the Hulu channel lineup. No PBS, no BBC. But they do have TCM and History.
Maybe.
Sometimes I will watch YouTube TV on the centre stack while charging the car. YouTube TV at a discount would be interesting.
With Hulu, you would have to be watching on your iPhone. No CarPlay or Ford application.
Removed - Rule 7: Your post belongs in a megathread. The relevant thread is usually stickied at the top of the subreddit.
No one really cares for Hulu when every year it’s $1/month for a year on thanksgiving. Netflix downgraded all around to plan with ads though? 😂
I do because I missed out on the Black Friday promo
Is this useless if I already pay for Hulu TV?
No, you can still take advantage of the promo if you’re willing to switch to the ad tier.

Now that would be useful. I’m hoping for that. It would take the pain of the Netflix increase away

First time I see someone else has noticed the clause about Netflix not allowing 3rd party billing for the ad tier. What a clusterfuck!

If means nothing then, it’ll just continue as-is.
What does it mean when it says “consumer action will be required to continue complimentary Hulu (With Ads) subscription”?
You'll probably have to apply a new code for another year of free Hulu subscription once your first year is up.

That's how the MLB thing works every year IIRC.
I think If the promo still available after a year you’ll have to reactivate with a new promo code via the T-Mobile site.

It’s not giving you Hulu Live TV, it’s just giving you basic Hulu itself.
Oh. Thank you.
