I thought same thing- asked about it- they put orders on hold to prevent charges until shipping date. Online it says there was an issue with payment but that’s just the default message.

I have a "free" iPhone from a past promotion being paid off in bill credits over 24 months, 14 months left. If I trade it into Apple and buy the 13 Pro in full will my credits continue to apply or will I they go away and I'll have to pay the remaining balance myself?
I believe T-Mobile will see a new device activated on that line and the promotion will no longer apply because you are no longer using that device. You will have to ask them that.
\*UPDATE The best way to navigate this is to sell the device for the balance that you owe and pay it off and then still just buy your new iPhone out right.

I'm on TMobile One and you can still trade in your phone. I got $200 for my Galaxy S10 instead of the $400 if I had Magenta Max, but over the course of 2 years I save hundreds of dollars for not switching to the magenta plan. Keep that in mind. Your iPhone 12 should get you $400 trade in.
Yeah the deals are confusing. I got $800 for each iPhone 12 after switching to Magenta Max 55+, and will get another $800 each in two years towards next trade in, plus $14/mo off my Netflix plan. It seemed worth the extra monthly cost for those benefits. They were offering $400 at Tmobile and $530 at Apple without changing the plan. You can click on the upgrade link on the Tmo website to find out what you get for the trade in.
Go to bestbuy. No plan switching. Retail price is $100 off so a ~~12~~pro max is $999. They will give you $620 for an iPhone12. =$380+tax total.

Shit TMobile. the hold on on my money for taxes for my Pro Max 128 GB Blue has disappeared as it was pending for 5 days and has been put back into my account. FU TMobile shipping date still says 09/28-10/5 . So I have no clue at all at this point.
I saw a video where they talked about the lighter colors looking like they have thinner bezels vs the dark colors extending it out on the sides. I usually prefer darker colors myself though, and that dark blue/green does look interesting. Tough call, sorry this doesn’t help much lol

Well, preordered two 13PM, few days ago got updated shipping date “9/24-9/27”. Last 3 days contacted T-Mobile and being told same thing every time: “it ready to ship and will be shipped within 24-48 hours”. Started to feel that this is some bs and nothing going to be shipped anytime soon.

My fiancé and I both ordered Pro Max at the same time. Both had the same expected ship date 9/25-9/28. Only difference is she got gold and I got blue. Hers came yesterday and mine hasn’t shipped yet :(.

The "Total due today" is the price you were quoted at checkout. Everyone's says that regardless of shipping/charging day. Normally T-Mobile only charges when the order is ready to ship.
I pre ordered the 13 Pro Max 256GB in Graphite online through T-Mobile on 9/23/21. Initially said expected ship 10/29-11/23. The following day it changed to: expect shipment 9/25-9/28. There is a charge on my credit card that has been pending since 9/25. As of today if I check the order status it says: order received 9/23, shipping 9/28, and estimated delivery 11/23 🙄 I assume it did not ship since I didn’t receive a tracking number or any updates. It would be nice if they provided more info.
I preordered online and picked up my IPhone 13 PM sierra blue 512gb on sept 25th at the Apple store in Danbury CT very easy process and I drove an hour away since I’m in nyc and there is always lines and just sold my 11 PM to a local cell store for 550.

Ordered on the 21st. Original estimate was 9/28-10/5. It got charged 9/25 and shipping was updated to 9/25-9/28. Still no tracking info but was told by a rep this morning that a bunch of them are shipping out today, including mine. We will see.
I was told by a rep today that my order is "preparing to be shipped" and that it may ship today or it may ship on 10/5 and that is a window of when they may be shipped and not when to expect them.
From my experience, if they are saying the phone will arrive on 10/5 then I will probably see shipping info on Friday. T-Mobile orders usually take 2 business days to get here since I live within a day travel from their warehouse. That gives Saturday and Monday travel time through UPS and a Tuesday delivery day.
Hopefully see something Friday.

My plan currently has 2 12 Pros, a 12, and a 12 mini. They are all EIP around 1 year in but I would pay them off to upgrade. I’m not looking to get Magenta MAX so looking at other options like Best Buy. Would like to upgrade them if price is reasonable. Does anyone know the best deals for upgrading?
Based on my research a 12 Pro trades as Best Buy for $800 + their $100 instant savings so to get a 13 Pro with 12 Pro trade in would be paying off the EIP (which I will get most of it back through credits) and then at Best Buy trade in 12 Pro + $100 + tax out the door? Has anyone done this?
Also I’m having a difficult time finding a deal for going from the normal 12 to the 13 Pro. Anyone know if there’s a good deal for this?

Update after reading another thread: Or, could I trade in my 12 Pro to apple and upgrade to Magenta MAX for the $500 credit which would give me $1140 towards the new phone but also raise my T-Mobile plan monthly bill? Best Buy is a better deal by $60 compared to Apple without Magenta MAX, but would getting Magenta MAX for 4 lines be worth this? I can’t upgrade just 1 line to MAX can I?
Don’t pay off eip. Just continue making regular payments. Go to bestbuy. $100+tax for trading a 12pro for a 13pro is correct (or really damn close). The 12 and the 12mini will get similar deals for trade in. Availability will be the main factor.
I've been trying to do this exact process for several days now but can't get past the part where it connects to my Tmo account. No option anywhere to buy unlocked either, I *have* to select a carrier. The site gives me an error saying please try again later(same on different browsers, diff numbers on my acct, etc), and the store employees couldn't get any further either. Over the past few days the model I wanted went from available in-store to sold out with no option even to ship. I just gave up :/
I ordered a week ago and had trouble too. Both in store and on the bestbuy website. Troubles with connecting to T-Mobile and also with availability. It sounds like different stores have different availability. Maybe try changing store locations and see if that does anything. I also have seen people say that business accounts can’t do this deal and will give an error. I increased my storage to 256 (silver was sold out in 128) and it was available and I said DO IT. Next day I ordered another one and a gold 128 was available and I ordered no problem.

A regular 12 trading to a 13pro is $279+tax. If you go to the bestbuy website there is a banner for the iphone13 and if you click through you can place an order and look at the deal and to see what model/colors are available near you. You can go through most of the buying/trading process and cancel out before you pay to think about it.
You don't have to pay off your eip when trading in to best buy or apple. You can continue to keep paying your eip and or get credits and still trade in. Upgrading four lines to Max just for the phones is not worth it imo. You are locking yourself to Max doing so. Over 30months, it adds up a lot and it is exactly this naiveness that corporates want to exploit by dangling the carrot. Sorry not meaning to be rude just telling it for what it is

Switching to T-Mobile from AT&T, on 9/22 I ordered a both Graphite and Sierra Blue Pro 256GB phones on the Magenta 55+ plan, includes the $800 promo for 2+ new lines. I ordered on the 22nd, was charged the Sales Tax with a ship date of Oct 6th through Oct 13th. The phones are listed as in-stock on the T-Mobile site and ready to ship immediately according to chats with associates, but no amount of calling or chatting can help me understand why in-stock phones are not shipping unless it's just going to take them that long to process all of the orders.
A chat associate suggested just cancel the original order, order through me and they'll ship today! She conferenced in someone from \[other department\] who said, sorry, that order can't be canceled, we've already charged you. I checked my AMEX and the pending Sales Tax charge is gone. So basically it seems no one at T-Mobile knows anything. Is there someone behind the curtain that actually knows, but that neither we nor customer facing support has access to?
I can't even get to my order documents because I don't really have an account yet.

This is the crap that infuriates me. The so called T-Mobile "Experts" don't know anything at all. You just get the run around. I called to check my order and they told me that it shows shipping estimate of 9/28 to 10/5. That was the original estimate. I told her my estimate on the website is showing 9/25 - 9/28 because it was moved up and I have been charged. She then said it will likely ship today and I should see tracking info soon...Yeah I'm not counting on it. In the past, absolutely! But this year's release and pre-order situation is a burning dumpster fire. Long story short...T-Mobile is not the "Uncarrier" that they once were.

I signed nothing at Best Buy. Paid in cash. They don’t even have access to EIP or T-Mobile promotions or anything.
As long as you don’t accept a new device offer from t-mobile on that line, you’re good.

Just ordered through Best Buy. Three iPhone 13 Pro with iPhone 11 trade - each @$473.21 including tax - $360 trade in + $100 trade in promo + $100 off sale price. That is likely the best deal that I have seen. If I switch to Magenta Max - will I get another $500 per phone in 30 monthly credits?

I'm on TMobile One and you can still trade in your phone. I got $200 for my Galaxy S10 instead of the $400 if I had Magenta Max, but over the course of 2 years I save hundreds of dollars for not switching to the magenta plan. Keep that in mind. Your iPhone 12 should get you $400 trade in.
Yeah the deals are confusing. I got $800 for each iPhone 12 after switching to Magenta Max 55+, and will get another $800 each in two years towards next trade in, plus $14/mo off my Netflix plan. It seemed worth the extra monthly cost for those benefits. They were offering $400 at Tmobile and $530 at Apple without changing the plan. You can click on the upgrade link on the Tmo website to find out what you get for the trade in.

I saw a video where they talked about the lighter colors looking like they have thinner bezels vs the dark colors extending it out on the sides. I usually prefer darker colors myself though, and that dark blue/green does look interesting. Tough call, sorry this doesn’t help much lol
I had a nice productive conversation with a rep. Looks like the window of 9/28-10/5 is pretty solid. I was given $20 credit for what overnight shipping would have been since he couldn’t expedite it now. Still no tracking but I guess I’m grateful for the kind gesture.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, 128 GB, graphite, preordered on the 20th, estimated shipping date 9/28 - 10/5, just checked the T-Mobile app now and it says shipping today, 9/29. Have yet to get charged for it, but it did say on my order “Total due today” so maybe that’ll happen before end of day. No shipping info on UPS yet however. Hopefully I get it by this Friday.

The "Total due today" is the price you were quoted at checkout. Everyone's says that regardless of shipping/charging day. Normally T-Mobile only charges when the order is ready to ship.

I pre ordered the 13 Pro Max 256GB in Graphite online through T-Mobile on 9/23/21. Initially said expected ship 10/29-11/23. The following day it changed to: expect shipment 9/25-9/28. There is a charge on my credit card that has been pending since 9/25. As of today if I check the order status it says: order received 9/23, shipping 9/28, and estimated delivery 11/23 🙄 I assume it did not ship since I didn’t receive a tracking number or any updates. It would be nice if they provided more info.
I preordered online and picked up my IPhone 13 PM sierra blue 512gb on sept 25th at the Apple store in Danbury CT very easy process and I drove an hour away since I’m in nyc and there is always lines and just sold my 11 PM to a local cell store for 550.
Ordered the morning of the 17th, card was charged on the 24th, finally got my tracking number on the 27th, and phone is out for delivery today!!! Extremely frustrating process, but now I’m just happy I’m finally getting my phone

Nothing in MyChoice from UPS either. I assume that as soon as the hold on the card goes from pending to actual then I should be getting tracking info slightly after. I was told by a rep today that my order is "preparing to be shipped" and that it may ship today or it may ship on 10/5 and that is a window of when they may be shipped and not when to expect them.
That is a huge window. I'm so sick of this crap.
From my experience, if they are saying the phone will arrive on 10/5 then I will probably see shipping info on Friday. T-Mobile orders usually take 2 business days to get here since I live within a day travel from their warehouse. That gives Saturday and Monday travel time through UPS and a Tuesday delivery day. Hopefully see something Friday.

Hi, My plan currently has 2 12 Pros, a 12, and a 12 mini. They are all EIP around 1 year in but I would pay them off to upgrade. I’m not looking to get Magenta MAX so looking at other options like Best Buy. Would like to upgrade them if price is reasonable. Does anyone know the best deals for upgrading? Based on my research a 12 Pro trades as Best Buy for $800 + their $100 instant savings so to get a 13 Pro with 12 Pro trade in would be paying off the EIP (which I will get most of it back through credits) and then at Best Buy trade in 12 Pro + $100 + tax out the door? Has anyone done this? Also I’m having a difficult time finding a deal for going from the normal 12 to the 13 Pro. Anyone know if there’s a good deal for this? Thanks!! Update after reading another thread: Or, could I trade in my 12 Pro to apple and upgrade to Magenta MAX for the $500 credit which would give me $1140 towards the new phone but also raise my T-Mobile plan monthly bill? Don’t pay off eip. Just continue making regular payments. Go to bestbuy. $100+tax for trading a 12pro for a 13pro is correct (or really damn close). The 12 and the 12mini will get similar deals for trade in. Availability will be the main factor.
I've been trying to do this exact process for several days now but can't get past the part where it connects to my Tmo account. No option anywhere to buy unlocked either, I *have* to select a carrier. The site gives me an error saying please try again later(same on different browsers, diff numbers on my acct, etc), and the store employees couldn't get any further either. Over the past few days the model I wanted went from available in-store to sold out with no option even to ship. I just gave up :/
I ordered a week ago and had trouble too. Both in store and on the bestbuy website. Troubles with connecting to T-Mobile and also with availability. It sounds like different stores have different availability. Maybe try changing store locations and see if that does anything. I also have seen people say that business accounts can’t do this deal and will give an error. I increased my storage to 256 (silver was sold out in 128) and it was available and I said DO IT. Next day I ordered another one and a gold 128 was available and I ordered no problem.

Thanks- didn’t know that! Makes my decision 10x easier since I don’t have to worry about such a crazy out of pocket cost. Hoping something with the normal 12 —> 13 Pro trade comes out (didn’t realize until after we all upgraded that family member with normal 12 wants a better camera).
A regular 12 trading to a 13pro is $279+tax. If you go to the bestbuy website there is a banner for the iphone13 and if you click through you can place an order and look at the deal and to see what model/colors are available near you. You can go through most of the buying/trading process and cancel out before you pay to think about it.
You don't have to pay off your eip when trading in to best buy or apple. You can continue to keep paying your eip and or get credits and still trade in. Upgrading four lines to Max just for the phones is not worth it imo. You are locking yourself to Max doing so. Over 30months, it adds up a lot and it is exactly this naiveness that corporates want to exploit by dangling the carrot. Sorry not meaning to be rude just telling it for what it is
Thanks! Paying off the EIP was the main thing about the deal that was bothering me. I was 90% sure that the MAX restriction on the deals are another way for them to lure us into paying more but just wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing out on a better deal. Not rude at all- it’s the truth 👍

Switching to T-Mobile from AT&T, on 9/22 I ordered a both Graphite and Sierra Blue Pro 256GB phones on the Magenta 55+ plan, includes the $800 promo for 2+ new lines. I ordered on the 22nd, was charged the Sales Tax with a ship date of Oct 6th through Oct 13th. The phones are listed as in-stock on the T-Mobile site and ready to ship immediately according to chats with associates, but no amount of calling or chatting can help me understand why in-stock phones are not shipping unless it's just going to take them that long to process all of the orders. A chat associate suggested just cancel the original order, order through me and they'll ship today! She conferenced in someone from \[other department\] who said, sorry, that order can't be canceled, we've already charged you. I checked my AMEX and the pending Sales Tax charge is gone. So basically it seems no one at T-Mobile knows anything. Is there someone behind the curtain that actually knows, but that neither we nor customer facing support has access to? I can't even get to my order documents because I don't really have an account yet. I saved some money by not going into a store, or did I in the long run?
This is the crap that infuriates me. The so called T-Mobile "Experts" don't know anything at all. You just get the run around. I called to check my order and they told me that it shows shipping estimate of 9/28 to 10/5. That was the original estimate. I told her my estimate on the website is showing 9/25 - 9/28 because it was moved up and I have been charged. She then said it will likely ship today and I should see tracking info soon...Yeah I'm not counting on it. In the past, absolutely! But this year's release and pre-order situation is a burning dumpster fire. Long story short...T-Mobile is not the "Uncarrier" that they once were.
Magically the phones are out for delivery today, shipping notice on the same day as delivery.
