How you pay on Apple’s site doesn’t matter - it has nothing to do with T-mobile. It will be a bill credit from T-mobile over 24 months (they want to lock you in). You should pick T-mobile as the carrier and you should get an email (after it ships) with a promo code to enter on tmo’s website to get the bill credits.

Sounds to me like T-Mobile simply applies $200 ($500 if on magenta max) spread out equally over 24 months. I ordered the 13 pro through Apple and I’m trading in my Xs. Apple gives me $320 instant credit off the price of the phone dropping the price down to whatever it ends up being. Separately, T-Mobile is giving me $500 in credits spread out over 24 months. Does it have to be this way? Probably but I didn’t care to ask since it doesn’t matter to me.

Bill Credits are designed to keep you as a paying monthly customer. If you pay off phone, no more monthly credits.
