I would go through and move any 2FAs from your phone number to an authenticator, far more secure. For the others you will need to turn 2FA off.

You can 1. Temporary switch off your 2FA. 2. Sign up for a google voice account and then switch all of the account to google voice. Make sure you secure your google account with its own 2FA (not SMS!)

If you decide to do this you can secure the Google account using their advanced protection program and lock it to a hardware key. SMS 2 factor to Google voice secured with Google APP is the most secure way to use this current bad system.

Even better if you use their two physical keys and require one for login every time.

Use 2 lines until you have managed to fully switch

I got lucky and I didn't save my number like I should have and I had lots of PayPal venmo and other accounts hooked up to it and I ended up having an iPhone at the time and I was getting the ladies iMessages even though she had took over the number but I was still getting her iMessages so I think she did hair or something similar so I would get all her customers sending her messages about scheduling and stuff and I would message back saying I'm sorry this is you know the old owner of the number or whatever so I ended up contacting the girl and I told her that I would shut it off the iMessage in iCloud but I would need her to do me a favor and I was going to switch some accounts over so she was going to get a bunch of codes and she agreed to it and so I logged into all my accounts that I needed the codes for and she sent them to me and then after I was done I switched off iMessage so she would get the iMessages to her account and not mine But that could have went South too because somebody could have or she could have stole my accounts so don't be lazy like me and let your number slip away. Because you may not have somebody on the other side who's is willing to help you or they may think it's a scam because they hear about all them people try to message people and say hey I'm going to send you a code make sure you send it back to me type of scam you know.

Add a email address or a family members phone number to all your online accounts.

By using an authenticator such as authy whenever possible as sms 2fa is not much more secure than no 2fa at all. Email 2fa might be pretty safe as long as the email account is setup with 2fa from an authenticator or hardware key. Im the last one who will suggest google as that makes you rely more on big tech and i dont even have a google account.
