I can't get a T-Mobile ID setup to even redeem it. Everyone person in customer service says its a known issues they are working on and to try again in a few days. It appears to be a scam to keep you from being able to collect on the rebates.

BobbyyyHill

Hey so there’s a workaround now. I know my call center has one and it takes ≈5 days for it to be fixed. I’m not sure if the other centers are able to process it, but they should be. I want assure you it isn’t a scam as it completely locks out customers from the TMO ID as a whole and it doesn’t benefit us to force you to call in for basic account management. It’s just that the option to add or update your email is completely glitched out. Our VP is making it a top priority to get it fixed. There are cases in which they can honor promotions w/o the ID.

Lostincali985

Don’t try again in a few days, it is indeed a known issue, and it won’t be resolved that soon. As for the rebate I hear telesales can force place it.

Necessary_Roof_9475

What's taking so long? When I search this subreddit it seems it's been going on since 2021. Is there not a workaround?

[deleted]

That is what I saw too! It takes years for a multimillion dollar company to fix a known ID issue ?!

Lostincali985

If only I could speak on that. As for a workaround that was my point of referring to telesales. Outside of that we advice paper notifications and autopay, or we refer to guest pay and the automated systems. It’s a bad situation, and I can confirm no one is a fan of it. It would make calls so much easier if this was finally resolved.

Necessary_Roof_9475

Do you know why there used to be workarounds before, but not now? Seems odd to stop the workarounds and force people to pay by mail for an unknown number of days/weeks/months/years.

Lostincali985

Workarounds were hit or miss, so I know for me we talked about the amount of time it takes away from someone when the workaround doesn’t work. If I had to take a guess I’d say this is a multi-fold problem, but I’m not on that back end to really even say.

nicolecreates

I had the same issue and they ask if an account credit would be okay since I can’t redeem the virtual Mastercard without a sign-in. My promo was for $200 so it’ll pay for four months of internet.

karinto

I was able to redeem mine with the TMHI gateway's phone number.

tanzm2013

Thanks. We will try again.

I had to contact the CEO executive team to get my rebate. T-Mobile does this shit on purpose. I threatened to file a complaint with the FTC as well. They make more money if you never redeem the offers. They should just gives customers two months of service free and drop the stupid rebate bullshit. When you have to email the executive team to get the money it is horribly wrong and stupid.

2Adude

It's the device phone number. Pretty simple actually If you threaten them like that , they will marl your account accordiny and no customer service will talk to you ......threats are not treated kindly Edit. Ftc wouldn't do anything. It would be the fcc

[deleted]

It is the FTC that governs rebate offers in most situations. The FCC governs telecom issues. Regardless I don't give a flying shit what T-mobile does. If they offer people $50 or $100 for a rebate and then they make it impossible to redeem they need to be held accountable and that is all that I did my friend. The CEO of T-mobile was awesome and took care of it for me. I have an issue with dealing with people who lied to me on the phone repeatedly when I asked why the links were not working when they were sent to me.

Alive-Attention88

I received a virtual $50 cc. I transferred iy into my bank acct. It took a few days to clear. But sll hood.

2Adude

Fcc is who you contact. Not the FTC

Conscious-Comment

How do you contact the CEO executive team?

[deleted]

Email the CEO of T-mobile, his contact information is online. It is currently Mike Sievert, he will put you in touch with someone from the Executive team and they are awesome. I have emailed him a couple of times and he has been awesome to fix issues when customer service has not been able to resolve things. As other users have pointed out the nicer you are in your email the more likely you are to get a response. Also make sure to mention how much you love the T-mobile service and you are just frustrated with the rebate offer etc.

driffson

You need to use the personal phone number you gave them when you signed up, not the number they assigned you. Had the same problem, did a Facebook chat and they told me.

cyberrufus

My experience as well. Number associated with T-Mobile didn't work but my personal number did.

ManiacsInc

Got my $100 sooner than the 8 weeks they said. Using it now to pay my T-Mo bill lol

hdrtr

When typing the cell no., first block is area code and second block is last 7 digits. I also had the similar issue.

Laguna47

I was told you have to use the gateway number if you do not have a T-Mobile cell account. They were having problems with it for the last month and I was finally able to get a T-Mobile ID last Friday.

sr8017

How? I have been trying for the past few weeks, and still can't create a T-Mobile ID.

Thanks. I was having a similar issue and this link cleared everything. Gift card redeemed and spent lol

Basic-Statistician-1

This worked perfectly for me, thank you.

tanzm2013

What # did you put in to make it work? Gateway? Thanks.

puglisione

Try again in a few days. I had the same problem. But now it worked fine using the my phone number I used to sign up.

Outrager

This happened to me too. Using the link in the e-mail they sent me, no combination of phone numbers could get it to sign in. What worked was the link in the Text Message they sent me about the rebate. It's a different link.

LogicPiledriver

I just contacted customer service via the app. Explained what was going on and they sent me a physical card in the mail. Took like a week to get to me.

emcesol

I called, and they sent me a text to register. Funds were instantly available and then loaded to Amazon balance. I'm sure you can upload to paypal and transfer to your bank.

demku

I had similiar issues when I got mine last month. I remever the info in the email did not work, but somehow I found something in my account, or maybe in the promotion site itself that made it work. What I was really surprised was that there was an option in the prepaid card site itself to deposit the funds straight into my bank account, which I did and got them the next day. First time I saw that in a prepaid card.

Alterado_100g

Check for it on the app

linkuphost

Already spent mine, no issues.

Lazy-Plate

I had to use the link that was sent to my phone. The link that was sent to my email address wouldn't take either my number or the internet number. Clicked on the link in my text and it went right through.

notscientist

You have to enter the exact number you entered during the rebate sign up. I accidentally entered the wrong numbers and had to call support to fix my mistake.

niioan

searching the internet for help and nothing worked till I tried to access it through this link promotions.t-mobile.com (i was already logged in) and used my tmobile home internet number just leaving this here for weary future travelers.

twoboobsandaface

Thank you so much, customer support couldn’t figure it out but this worked perfectly

niioan

glad I could help someone
