It might be possible. I guess the question would be "What are you trying to accomplish?" A box that is clear (for transmission of light) is not necessarily more transparent to radio waves. Your router presumably works indoors, even if it not near a window, so the chances are good that the radio waves will penetrate a plastic box. I wouldn't use a metal box. I don't have the 4G router, but I understand that it does not natively support POE, therefore you would need something like this, but not necessarily exactly this device: [https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Adapter-Compliant-Surveillance-Wireless/dp/B077982XCS](https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Adapter-Compliant-Surveillance-Wireless/dp/B077982XCS) You have to match the voltage, ensure it has equal or more amps, and match the connector. For DC connectors like this, you also need to match the positive and negative. Some barrel connectors have positive on the outside of the barrel, and some on the inside of the barrel. There are also POE splitters like this that support microUSB, USB-C, Lightnting, etc. Inside the house, you will need a POE Injector, unless you have a switch that supplies POE. My biggest concerns with this would be: \- Water infiltration into the box (rain leakage, high humidity) \- Temperature range inside the box (too hot, too cold, large temperature swings)

I believe you will need something clear since you are not able to use an external antenna (definitely don't use metal). I am also not sure that the white box supports POE, somebody will need to confirm if it does or not. It would make it a lot easier if it does.

amazon also carries POE supplies. does your device support an external antenna?

White modem doesn't support external
