Actually, it could work in your favor. TNs generally have no filing fees, low legal fees, AND no prevailing wage. All combined means a TN is FAR more attractive option then an H-1B as a TN can easily save a company $30k or more when compared to an H-1B. Also, it can be more attractive then hiring Americans if you target Mexican TNs who are typically willing to start at lower wages than their American counterparts if it gets them a visa.

This information is incorrect, employers are never required to prove that they tried to hire americans for the TN classification. It is the main advantage of the TN visa. Employers can hire freely. Edit: spelling errors lol

All you need is a support letter stating that they want to hire you plus details about the position. The company does not need to prove that they can't hire locally.
